I found a leak in my basement and realized it was coming from my washer's water supply. Called another company who's diagnosis was to replace the water supply valves and who's estimate was nearly $700! I declined and found Master Blaster on Angie's list -- they were fantastic from start to finish! Will definitely make Master Blaster my "go to" plumbers from here on out!!!

They gave me useful information when I first called about the job. There were some unexpected hitches in what needed to be done. They got it done. They paid good attention to detail, double checking things. Very professional and responsive.

Had a terrible leak from the upstairs tub running water through the ceiling and down the wall of the downstairs bathroom after a shower. Called Master Blaster Plumbing in the late evening. The owner and another worker showed up about an hour and a half later. Very polite and courteous, they explained what needed to be done to find the problem. They had to enter the downstairs bathroom ceiling to access the bottom of the upstairs tub. Figured out the problem quickly. After finding the problem, they fully explained price, and work needed to be done to fix problem. They left for short time to get parts. They rebuilt a severely leaking drain, put the tub parts back together, and sealed them up. Cleaned up well after themselves! Were in the house about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. No more problems! Was expecting a complete nightmare, and a ton of money. Turned out pretty stress free, and a good experience(considering water running down the wall in my house!) Anything in the future that we can't fix ourselves, will surely be a call to Master Blaster Plumbing!

Overall, the services performed were exactly to our expectations. We called about a week before stating we needed to have our disposal replaced and drain snaked. We made an appointment a week later to complete an estimate of the work and confirm our suspicions of what need to be completed. Our plumber came out and not only gave an estimate, but was able to complete the work that day so no additional days off from work would be necessary. My husband was working around the house on some other items and came back to the kitchen an hour later and our plumber was cleaning up and packing up his tools. We couldn't have asked for better service and will definitely consider Master Blaster for any future plumbing needs.

The gentleman was prompt and thorough. Every faucet was examined as part of the visit. He was very helpful, showing the film and explaining the views and recommending follow-up. We were pleased with the overall experience.

Joe replaced three toilets in our house yesterday. The models he had recommended in a previous visit were the perfect choice. We've never had a more cheerful, enthusiastic, personable or professional service person in our home. When Joe discovered that the last of the three would not fit under a granite countertop extension in one bathroom, which was entirely our fault for not measuring before we ordered the toilets from Master Blaster, he carried it back to his truck, drove first to the nearest Home Depot, then to Lowes, and searched for a replacement he could recommend. He called us for approval, then returned and installed the new toilet. He still finished the job within the time originally estimated and at the price originally quoted. He cleaned up completely; you wouldn't know that seven toilets had been dragged through our house all afternoon. We can't recommend Joe more highly. He's a prince of a guy and a consummate professional.

Joe, the plumber Master Blaster sent out, determined that the cause of the leak into my kitchen was a broken pipe joint. He fit me into his already full schedule and serviced my call on Friday after 6:30 p.m. after the time he would otherwise have quit work. Master Blaster personnel kept me informed of when a plumber would arrive at my house. Joe replaced the broken pipe joint in the wall of my kitchen and the leak of water into the room stopped. Then he told me how to avoid broken pipes in the future. I was very pleased with the service and grateful that Joe solved my plumbing problem on the first service call. I did pay quite a bit for this service, but I feel I saved myself money in the long run by calling Master Blaster. I have done business with this company before, and their plumbers always solve plumbing problems on the first repair call. I never have to call them back to correct a repair they have already made.

I had tried several bottles of drain cleaner to unclog my bathtub drain, But to no avail. I called Master Blaster and they came the same day I called. Tyler came and assested the situation and said he could take care of it right away. He explained everything before he did it. It took him less than an hour to unclog the drain. After he was done, he cleaned up the mess. I am very happy with them and would recommend them to my friends.

Tech got snake stuck in main line, but company made good on completing clearance of line and did not charge me anything. While the initial experience was frustrating (for all involved - no one likes a strange occurrence like this to happen), nobody's perfect and the company's commitment to doing the right thing won me over. I'd be happy to use them again, knowing their commitment to getting the job done. If you want to read the gory details they're below: My wife and I had never had our drains cleared in the 7 years we lived in our 30+ year-old home, so we thought we were overdue. When I saw the Angie's List deal for snaking and camera inspection and the great reviews Master Blaster had received, I thought it would be perfect for us. I called and was able to schedule the job that week, but I later learned why there were openings on Friday afternoons - never schedule your plumbing job at that time, because when things go bad you can go the entire weekend with a damaged/clogged main line, forcing you to not be able to wash dishes, do laundry, take baths, or shower. Day 1 - The technicians arrived over an hour late for the drain clearing job, this would have been bad enough, but the camera technician was scheduled to start right after they completed, so it delayed him as well. The technician/trainee who performed the snake struggled for quite a while to get the snake through the drain and eventually stopped after only 60' (not even close to where my main line enters the city drainage). He got the snake out of the drain and his supervisor/trainer said they should have run it all the way out, so they'd stay around to ensure the camera didn't find anything after the 60' point. Well, as luck would have it, the camera showed root growth just past where the snake had stopped and a bit further down the pipe prior to the city. Frustrating, but understandable. So the camera guy gets his camera out and the drain guys commence snaking again. This second run takes even longer than the first and I hear lots of discussion and frustration before the supervisor says "You ran the whole roll out? This seems much longer than a normal spool. I have no idea how far out you are, you might be 150ft and into the city!" then several minutes later he comes over to me and says, "We're stuck in the line and I don't know where." They need a camera to help them figure out where in the pipe they're stuck, but by that point the camera guy had left. Several phone calls later and he determines they can't get another camera out until Sat morning, so they're going to seal the line back up with the snake stuck inside it, therefore we can't use very much water or we risk clogging the line. Day 2 - Sat morning the technicians and camera crew arrive. They run the camera out but the lens keeps getting covered in muck in the pipe because the line is so cramped with the snake stuck in it so they can't see where the snake is stuck. They try for more hours to extract the stuck snake by going backward and forward in the pipe, but it keeps getting stuck. The only remaining option is to dig up the line and find where in the pipe the snake is stuck, extract the snake, replace the pipe, and rebury the pipe. However, there's no dig crew available until Monday afternoon, so they seal up the line again and leave us with the water restrictions for the entire weekend and all day Monday. Day 3 - Water restrictions all day Sunday. Day 4 - Mon afternoon - When it's 2PM and I still haven't heard from the company when I can expect to see the dig crew, I call and am told that the morning job was running long and they may not be able to get out this afternoon. The scheduler for the crew calls me back a while later and says they'll have the dig crew out that evening and they won't leave until the snake is out and our drain service is restored. The crew finally arrives after dinner time, commences jack hammering two holes in my basement, cracks open my mainline, extracts the snake, replaces the pipe and patches the holes in my basement. Day 5 - company has camera tech return to my house and shows me the condition of my line to confirm that no damage was done by the snake being stuck in the line

We contacted Master Blaster via their web site on a Super Bowl Sunday, and they called us within 10 minutes to schedule an appointment for the next day. We were given a 3 hour window. Master Blaster then called and told us exactly when their plumber would be here (at the beginning of the window!) The Plumber, (Tyler), showed up on time as promised and quickly went to work. He was able to completely clear our problems within an hour. Due to our older plumbing he had to use multiple approaches, but he clearly understood the problems and made quick work of the blockages. Additionally he was professional and offered suggestions for future maintenance. Also he made a point to keep our house as clean a possible despite the nature of this work.

Eric and his assistant showed up on time and both were very polite. Their work was fast, clean, very professional and Eric honored the original estimate. Eric also warned that old water filtering systems can break down to the point that they leach mold and toxins into the house water system, a disaster to say the least. Now I have a nice storage space. I will call Master Blaster again for an issue with a bathtub faucet.

I needed a quote on running a gas line to my stove. They charge $19 to show up for an estimate. I live on the edge of town, so I agreed to the price, but keep in mind that most of the other companies on Angie's List don't charge for quotes. The tech showed up a little later and provided an estimate. Nothing was broken down, itemized, absolutely no mention of permits. He took the time to tell me how difficult it would be, how much work it would require, etc, then handed me an estimate with a smile on his face that was just over $1600 - over 3 times what the next highest estimate was on my desk. From the moment he walked in the door, my "BS" detector went off and I got the feeling they pull their prices out of thin air. Well, I was right. No thanks.

Technician evaluated the system and could find no problem with the suspected leak area. No further action necessary, and no indication of a continuing problem.

The drain arm in my vanity sink had broken off so I wasn't able to open or close the drain. The plumber who arrived was able to install a new arm quickly He was efficient and tidy.

I called them and they politely said they were not able to service my area. Otherwise I thought they were a fine company and they were just not able to do the job I needed.

they never even returned my call. i had to find a new provider who was not even on Angie's List, and theycame and took care of my problem the next day..

OK but took a long time for a little work. They broke a handle on the tub but I was very impressed with their attention to getting it fixed. Great job there.

Through Angie's List I purchased a $30 house call, then scheduled the plumber. After purchasing the house call online I immediately called Master Blaster and scheduled an appointment for several days in the future. The plumber arrived, took a look at my needs, then quoted a price of approximately $189 for the first hour and $150 for each subsequent hour. (He seemed to have forgotten I'd already paid $30.) The plumber spent quite a bit of time working on the leaking faucet, then diagnosed that a part was missing, provided a part number and recommended I order a replacement supply hose. (The hose I ordered at his recommendation did not fit.) The plumber then spent time working on my pressure-assist toilet, which had been running for an hour or so after each flush. For 24 hours after the plumber left the toilet seemed to be fine, then the following afternoon began running for an hour or so to refill after each flush. Several days later I phoned Master Blaster again and asked that he come out again. Because my plumber was not available, a different plumber was sent out. The substitute did not know how to repair pressure-assist toilets, and promised to have my original plumber phone me to make an appointment. That call never came. Several weeks (and a water bill triple the norm) later I phoned Master Blaster again, and was again assured that my plumber would call back to make an appointment. That call, too, never came. I will have to find another plumber and start from scratch.

Took us a while to get someone to come out and look at the problem - this was due in part to the New Year's Day holiday, I think. They looked at our issue - old cast iron drain pipe in the basement had rusted out and was leaking onto the basement floor. They offered two solutions - a quick fix and a longer-term solution. We decided to go with the more expensive but longer-term solution which required digging out the pipe on the outside. The fee for digging the hole was very high - about $1000, so we dug the hole ourselves to save the money. The plumber got another job the day he came to our house, so he was unavailable until the following week. The delay gave us more time to dig the hole but the leak was getting worse by the day, and we were dumping 5 gallon buckets and being very cautious with our water usage, especially flushing the toilet, for over a week. We tried to be very accommodating about schedule and making sure he had access to do the work (that is, digging the hole big enough). On the day he was scheduled to do the job, the plumber showed up on time. He told us the job could take between 8 and 10 hours depending on how difficult it was to remove the cast iron pipe from the house (the section between the basement and the outside of the house). He looked at the pipes in the basement again, took some pictures, and went to the store for at least 2 hours. He came back to the house, worked for about an hour and went to the store again for almost 2 hours. The cast iron pipe came right out of the wall with no problems, so he returned to the house and finished the job by 3:30. He spent about half the time from 8:30 until 3:30 at the store. And we went to the store and bought the sand he said we needed to put outside around the pipe. The original quote was for about $2,000. The plumber told us if we dug the hole, the price would be closer to the $800 estimate. We ended up paying $1,200 for about 4 hours of labor and 4 hours of store trips. About $160 of the total was for parts - not counting the sand we purchased ourselves. We did contact Master Blaster about the price but they declined to offer any partial refund on the grounds that we signed the estimate, the job was not bid at an hourly rate, and we paid the plumber. They also said they waived the service fee; however, I had purchased a $19 Angie's Deal for a service call, so that wasn't much of a break. We think the plumber did a good job. He was professional and nice. The price was a total rip-off. We won't be able to use them again.

The contractor corrected the problem, and it ended up being maybe a 10-minute job. He did have to run to ACE Hardware down the street to get the part; and, the part was inexpensive. I thought the labor was way over priced. He presented a bill of $160 at first, and I complained. He then dropped the charge to $100. The $19 deal was just to drive to my home.

I was unable to use this company since they did not come to my area, but you keep asking me for a review.

Arrived on time and received estimate for work. I called these folks on Christmas Day but I didn't ask them to come out that day, but they came out the next day after I got off of work.

The gentleman did a good job and was very professional. He had to go on the roof with his equipment and clean the pipe from there. It was scarey to watch but he did a great job and did not tumble off the roof with his equipment...thank goodness. Would highly recommend!

My son informed that the tub was not draining in our second bathroom, so we called our usual plumber. His phone was disconnected so we tried Bell, but they had a 3 day wait. Based on Angie's list we called Master Blaster. The plumber arrived on time and did the bathtub drain quickly. Main line required extra work to remove the clean out cover, but the overall time was reasonable. We will probably have them rooter our drain annually, as the cost is small and we won't worry about a basement flood.
