Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting

Being relatively new in the area, I didn't have the good word-of-mouth references I prefer when tackling a major home project. Instead I had to rely on my instincts after interviewing and receiving quotes from three companies. The actual paint job completed by Colorado Commercial and Residential Painters was beautiful. I've been here before and typically discovered days later the need for patching missed corners, straightening lines where the ceiling met the wall or scraping areas where the lines crossed onto the floor or rails. I'm still looking for those glitches but they just aren't there. In the middle of the painting project, I changed my mind about the paint color. Wayne and I had worked on a color scheme where he understood my moderate comfort with risk so we went with some beautiful muted colors. After it was on several walls, it looked just like he said it would... but I didn't like it. Palmer, the account rep, halted work while I selected a new color. They still finished on time. The crew of six guys were focused, pleasant and clearly there to please. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

I have used this company before. Wayne, the owner, came to my home, gave me a quote and was the most friendly and knowledgeable of all the people giving me bids. the crew did a great job with painting my home. so when my new home needed painting, I called them again. this time Matt came to my home. he is not as outgoing as wayne but did a good job looking around the house. He gave us a written quote. I was quite surprised how a ranch style home with three colors could cost as much as a two story home with two colors. I guess the price of paint has really gone up. I had a few other companies bid for the job and they were all about the same, some had to use significant coupons to get a similar bid. during the time while I was getting other bids, I found a coupon on angie's list. the coupon was for 1349.00, to paint a 1500 square foot home with one color. right on the coupon it stated that larger homes may have an increased cost and using more than one color may have an increased cost. I sent an email to matt with the verbiage from the coupon. he told me my house does not qualify because it would take longer than one day to paint and we had multiple colors. I guess he DID not read the coupon. he wouldn't even give me a bid with using the coupon, he was adamant that my home did not qualify. I chose CCRand P because their painters did such a good job on my last home NOT because Matt was a good company representative. Louis and his crew were great. the day he and one of his team members were here washing my home he asked me what time I wanted them at my home in the AM. the next day they were here and on time. there were six members to his crew and they proceeded to get my home painted very quickly. I would even suspect that if the weather would NOT have gotten scary, they would have finished my home in ONE DAY!!! nevertheless they finished the next day. once again, asking me when I wanted them in in the morning. overall the paint crew did a wonderful job and my home looks awesome. when I need to have my house painted again, I would use them but I was not impressed with matt's customer service. If I had not used them in the past, I definitely would NOT have used them again.

The job was scheduled to begin on Tuesday October 21st 2014. The project manager and lead painter stopped by mid day after a morning call to notify us of the time. No work was done. They reset the start of the job to Wednesday based on their estimate that the job could be completed in one day. On Wednesday, one crew member was dropped off and worked for 8 hours prepping around 80% of the space. We were told several times during the day that the rest of the paint crew was in route. No painting took place. We declined service on Thursday as we had other pre-set activities and arranged an 0700 start on Friday. Two crew members were dropped off at 0830 to continue preparations. The paint crew showed up at 4PM and began painting. They wanted to continue into the evening, but we had plans. Operations were terminated by us at 6:30 PM. We arranged for and 0700 start on Saturday to finish the job. The project manager was on site on time. Two crew members were dropped off around 0800. Rest of crew arrived 0915 and started painting. The job was completed around 1230. The quality of the work was good and the preparations were well done. Our problem was the uncertainty of the work schedule. The 1 - 2 day job extended to 3 1/2 days with a lot of inconvenience on our part. Three rooms covered in plastic. We found out mid job that the paint crew was double booked and that the lead painter was controlling the schedule. We obviously got second priority. To compensate us for our inconvenience the project manager gave us a discount on the bill.

They did an excellent job. Our town house was built in the 1970s and the siding is old, but they did a great job with sanding and caulking and making it look great. They were pleasant and communicated well and did a great job cleaning up. I had a new concrete patio poured recently and was concerned about getting paint on it, but they covered it and didn't get a drop on it. We will use them again.

Overall, we had a very positive experience with this company. Wayne was excellent to work with. He is very responsive, provided a competitive estimate, and was prepared to begin work right away (per our request). We felt very comfortable moving forward with his company. The painters were also excellent to work with. They were courteous, hardworking, and attentive to our requests, comments, concerns, etc. At first we were not entirely happy with the exterior color and Palmer quickly found a solution. We are very happy with the finished product! Our cabinets look awesome as does the interior paint. Wayne let us know that Palmer was in training and our project was one of his first so we understood when we had to contact Wayne occasionally for additional follow up. Palmer was very friendly and willing to help with anything but we did struggle to get in touch with him at times. That said, Wayne responded immediately if we had trouble. You may take that into consideration when reading any previous reviews about the company's responsiveness. Overall, each of the employees working with this company was kind and hardworking and our house looks great- interior, exterior, and deck. We get compliments all the time and we would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking!

No show, no call for estimate. I confirmed the appointment the day before. When I called the main office after the field guy did not pick up, she told me to keep calling the field guy. Not professional.

I cannot recommend highly enough. I needed to get my home "show" ready before winter came along, and CO Commercial Painting really showed up. Incredibly professional and punctual in bidding job and scheduling. As they couldn't use one of their teams in the time frame I needed, they used one of their subcontractors. My job ended up being bigger than he'd budgeted for - instead of abandoning ship, they hustled and found me another absolutely wonderful painter to complete the job. Every concern was addressed and they really went above and beyond during an extremely busy time of year for every painting company out there - I know, because I collected bids and talked to most of them. Price wise, time wise, performance wise, I could not be more pleased! Thanks for delivering CO Commercial.

Everything was great. They started work just 2 days after receiving my bid. They were very easy to work with, friendly, and trustworthy. We highly recommend this company.

These guys did great work. Took a little longer than expected, but it didn't matter because the workmanship and attention to detail was great. They readily re-painted areas that we identified needing touch-up or revision. Communication and supervision was great - in-fact, this was the best experience we've had with the home industry during our remodel. We would use them again without question.

The job was completed much faster than estimated which is good and bad. When we agreed to the price we were told the work would take 6 days. From my perspective the $6,200 price seemed reasonable. However, the work was done in less than 3 days so I was wondering if we got a fair price after all. The quality of the paint and the application was very good. The attention to detailed seemed to be lacking. I found many spots where paint was on light fixtures, light switches, and other attached items that I had to clean-up. Worst of all there were two spots where there was paint on the carpet! Our ceiling was sprayed, not brushed and rolled, and that left a fine over spray throughout the home. In the end, we had to ask for the painters to provide a house cleaner to get things back to an acceptable level of cleanliness, which they did. I would recommend CCRP but I would also do more day-to-day monitoring of their work. Since the home was unoccupied at the time, I did not check on the progress of the work. I would also withhold some of the funds until the work was completed to my satisfaction.

I chose Colorado Commercial and Residential Painting (CCRP) because of the great reviews on Angie's list and I wasn't disappointed. I had 2 other companies come out - one never called back with an estimate. The other did call back, but I thought the estimate was a little high for the job. From the start, CCRP was professional, punctual and courteous. Even though my job was relatively small and simple, I was treated like a valued customer throughout the whole process. Kevin Smith was my project manager. He was very knowledgeable about what would need to be done and thoroughly inspected the exterior of the house for the initial walk through. His estimate was below the other one I got and I felt it was reasonable. He showed up on time for each meeting we had, which is very important to me since I had to leave for work fairly early in the morning. Because the job was relatively small, I was pleased that the workers were able to start within a few days of my accepting the estimate. Because I work long hours, I never did meet any of the workers, but the job they did looks great and they cleaned up nicely. When I came home each day, I would never have known they had been there. One small problem did come up - the workers neglected to do some caulking. I just figured I would mention it to Kevin, but I never had to: when he showed up for the final walk through, he noticed it immediately, apologized and said he would take care of it. He said no money would be collected until the entire job was completed correctly. Within 2 days, it was done. I also really appreciated Kevin working with me around my erratic and crazy work schedule via text, phone and email and even after hours one evening.

While not the lowest bid we received, what really impressed us was the outstanding level of service provided by project manager/estimator Kevin Smith. We requested quotes from five companies; two didn't respond, two sent an email, and then there was Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting. Kevin did a thorough walkaround of our entire home exterior with us, allowing us to point out areas of concern. Kevin's background in home building was extremely valuable to us; he was able to show us areas on our home that needed more TLC, and was also able to point out areas that were in the early stages of wear but not yet in need of repair so we know what to watch for in the coming years. He carefully worked with us on choosing colors, and took the time to educate us on what works best in Colorado's climate. We made our own choice of colors with confidence thanks to Kevin's guidance. Throughout the project, Kevin was hands on, making sure everything was going smoothly and just the way we wanted it. The painting crew was extremely professional and took great care in leaving the area around our home neat and tidy. We also weren't asked to pay a dime until we were completely satisfied with the results - and we truly couldn't be happier. We will recommend Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting to all our friends and family, and look forward to calling them again ourselves the next time our home needs any paint. Both the results and the experience of working with this company get an A+.

The painter stripped the house on Friday, painted the body and some of the trim on Saturday, and finished the rest of the house on Monday. Very quick! Everyone was courteous and professional, and my house looks great!

I think the job they did was very nice. They were on time and started work immediately. Even though it took longer than expected (due to some unexpected circumstances) the crew kept with hit until the job was completed. The crew was fantastic and professional. We started off slow with the sales rep but by the end of the job the relationship was fine. I would use them again. There were a couple areas that needed (and some still need) touchups but overall they did a very nice job.

We need our house painted and called these guys for an estimate. I left a message over the weekend on the office phone and was called back on Monday morning so they could get more information and an estimator could call me to schedule an appointment. Palmer called later that day and seemed annoyed and apathetic about my job. He asked me when I could meet and I suggested afternoons on a couple of different days. We scheduled a time to meet on Wednesday after he rejected my first suggestion even though it was within the time frame he gave me. He did not show up and did not to call to reschedule or cancel. Based on my brief interaction with this company, I would not recommend them. I understand my job is small, but not showing up to an appointment or bothering to call is unprofessional. If Palmer had an emergency or even just needed to reschedule, I would have been more than happy to accommodate.

The price they gave me included replacing about 3 wooden window frames and they didthat within the price. I did upgrade the exterior paint the estimate was based, butit only went up about $100. Matt explained the difference in the two qualities.The only glitch was initially they didn't show up until about 6pm the first evening to power wash the home. I thought they were going to be there a lot earlier and wasready to leave...with all my windows open!! Got that resolved and they were sorry.From that point forward they did a very good job. They had a whole crew out here.Matt was very responsive and I always felt confident on my choice of them.

My wife and I moved into a house that was in dire need of exterior stain. I did my research and had 3 estimates done. It basically came down to a choice between two highly rated companies and I chose Colorado Commercial and Residential based on schedule availability (all other aspects were similar.) The estimator/sales-rep/project manager, Matt M. was very helpful in answering any questions I had and explaining their process. He came by the house before they started painting to put a stain sample on the house so we could make sure it was what we wanted.The painters started the next day when we were at work and when we came home we realized the color they were spraying was not the one that we had asked for. Matt was extremely responsive and helpful when we notified him and he had the paint re-mixed for the painters to start over. After that initial snafu, the painters resumed and finished painting the house. It required more coats than mentioned in the quote to give good coverage, but these were done without additional charge. While Matt was enormously helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns during the whole process, I can't say that I have the same strong positive feeling for the painting crew who did the prep-work and painting. There were several bad pieces of siding that needed to be replaced prior to paint (Matt and I had discussed this during the estimate,) but they skipped over this when doing the prep work, so I had to contact Matt and they had to delay the painting to do the carpentry work that should have been done during the prep phase. They also were pretty sloppy with over-spray on the concrete foundation, lots of wood splinters and paint in the yard, etc. They also put all their trash in our trash can, filling it up, and put trash in our compost bin as well. Matt was again excellent in making things right, but that stuff shouldn't have occurred in the first place. I'm not sure if the painting crew are sub-contractors or employees, and they were likely frustrated by the wrong paint situation and extended timeline for the job, but the professionalism wasn't up to par. Overall, I'd say the final result was good, and again, Matt was a pleasure to deal with and worked hard to resolve all the issues that came up. I would probably use them in the future, but would want assurance that the painting crew would be more professional.

It was all real positive. They were very professional. They came out when they said they would. They rang the doorbell. They did everything they said they would. It was just a really good experience.

They were fabulous. They did a great job. The painting was done spectacularly. They were on time. They have a terrific supervisor on duty that managed all the workers. They were great. I have recommended to other people. I said if you need painters out there, they're the people to go to.

The team worked diligently and paid superb attention to detail without damaging the underlying drywall. I was very impressed with their patience and determination to do a professional job.

Although I have not yet used Colorado Commercial and Residential Painting, I would like to commend the professionalism and punctuality, as well as the courtesy of telling me they were getting too far behind so late in the year and it was getting too cold to properly paint exteriorly. I plan to call them again in the spring.

The company was very responsive and immediately set up an estimate appointment after I bought the Angie's List coupon. Communication between myself and the company was flawless, and work on my townhouse began in just a couple of days after the initial estimate. The work was completed in just two days and it looks great. My only concern was that the work crew left some trash behind in the house following their last day of work. The company was very responsive to this issue, and had the crew return to clean up the mess in a satisfactory manner. The cost of the service was a little higher than I have paid in the past, but after seeing the results I was very satisfied. I would absolutely use this company again.

They have good reviews and product sounds good but price is much higher than other companies that have the same product. I'm not comparing this superior company that uses premium paint to a cheap company. I am comparing them to another superior company that uses premium paint and their price is still 40% more without a warranty for the work. Courteous, professional, and fast responses from company.
