MY Home Builders Inc

To be honest, the renovation project and process and working with a contractor scared me a lot going into it. But, I have to say that working with Sam and Matthew, and their team of Maya, Loyo, and Javier and their crew a great experience. Sam and Matthew put together a beautiful open floor plan for my new kitchen and living room area and two new bathrooms. Sam and the My Home Builders had three (3) areas of excellence: (1) Great tools and communication. My Home Builders provided a website tool to track phases of the project where all project documents and agreements are stored and to track billing so everything is paid on time. Sam was very on top of things and was accessible by text or phone. Matthew was also very accessible for questions about project cost and change questions. They along with the rest of the team were very supportive when issues came up and helped resolve them in a timely manner. (2) The vendors they worked with were kind, professional, and had excellent quality. The tile design team at International Tile provided amazing design service and great prices. Eddie and Jen Hardwood Flooring fixed the problematic and uneven floor, and provided a great selection of hardwood flooring and great service. Victor and AV&V team who installed the master bathroom glass doors were great to work with and friendly and accommodating to my often erratic schedule. (3) Maya, Loyo, and Javier and their framing, drywall, plumbing, electrical, painting, and woodworking teams did quality work and were responsive to questions or issues that came up during the process, and made great recommendations for design elements or use of various hardware for doors or in the bathroom or kitchen. Their tile installer did such good quality work in the kitchen and bathrooms, as it is the highlight of the project. The demolition process was quick and painless. The framing and drywall process was also smooth. Sam made very good recommendations throughout the project, including replacing the plumbing, electrical, and the interior and closet doors, along with his recommendation on materials from tile and flooring vendors. The My Home Builders team handles problems and difficulties very well. Service after the project is good as their team provided checks and adjustments after project completion. During the most recent rains, there was a leak in the roof in the new section where the old chimney and his team took care of it and fixed it immediately and checked if the leak caused any other issues. My Home Builders team (Matthew, Sam, Maya, Loyo, Javier and the rest of the team) was a pleasure to work with. The Covid-19 pandemic made a typical renovation project which has its challenges under normal circumstances even more challenging but the My Home Builders team made the project and process as smooth as it could be. I would work with the My Home Builders team on another project in the future. My personal thanks to Sam for all that he did!!

My Home Builders did a fantastic job on our remodel! We had walls blown out to create more ‘openness’ in the design, a complete kitchen remodel, and a new room added. We were way more than impressed with their professionalism, design expertise, the high quality of their subcontractors, their dedication to keep the project moving at a great pace (subs showed up when they said they would!), and their pledge to stay on budget! Yaron, Johnny and Ronen are just the best. They walked us through the project with patience, and explained everything we needed to know well ahead of when we needed to know it. When we had our first meeting with Yaron, he got where we were headed right away, had fantastic design suggestions, and within about a half an hour had computer design suggestions on his laptop that ended up being most of what we ended up with! Johnny dropped by regularly to see how things were going, always wanting to make sure we were happy and had all our questions answered. And Ronen the on-site forman/project manager (not sure those are correct titles, but you get the idea) did lots of heavy lifting every single day keeping crews busy, and making sure we knew what was coming up next and how to prepare for it. I can’t tell you what a great job he did keeping things moving, answering questions, solving problems, and helping us stay on budget! We interviewed 6 contractors before deciding on My Home Builders. Man, did we luck out! If you’re looking for professionalism, honesty, integrity, and just a terrific team of people to do your project… don’t even think about it… hire them!

This is our second time working with My Home Builders. This time for painting our house. My husband and I have an old, two story craftsman that we repainted in two tones - base and borders. Some of the boards needed fixing, holes needed caulking and inevitably a lot of sanding and scraping. Yaron, Johnny, Angel and his whole crew not only put extreme pride and care into their work, they're excellent to communicate with. We couldn't be happier with the overall experience and we'll definitely be working with them again.

My husband and I bought an old 1909 craftsman and our goal was to preserve the integrity of the house while still making it feel new and our own. From the start, Yaron completely envisioned what we were going for and his team - Johnny and Mika - were truly excellent to work with on a daily basis. Johnny made sure to keep us informed every step of the way, he and Mika helped us make creative decisions and the whole crew finished our project on deadline! My Home Builders made our first experience of working on our first house an exciting, efficient and manageable process. We still have a lot of work to do in the future and we will 100% hire My Home Builders every time. Highly recommend!

Starting the project in December, accounting for the holidays, we were promised a completion date of April 24th. (4 ½ months). That date was to pass final inspection, and there was additional time to actually complete the project. We did not actually complete all items until just last week, making it nearly 7 months to fully complete. The good news was we could move back into our house mid-April while the other items were worked out. We had an unusual situation where we lived in our RV in our backyard with 4 dogs while the project went on. Call us crazy, but it’s not easy to relocate with 4 dogs. MHB was aware of that from the beginning and how anxious we would be to get back into our home as soon as possible. We were told that work would happen 5 days a week and sometimes 6 to complete the job asap. That didn’t always happen, and we do feel there were unnecessary delays, but… even having said that, I will still give MHB a 5 star rating. Overall, we are very happy with our home, the quality of work and feel that we received quality work for a fair price. Having less than 10% in overages (some for items added on our part) is considered very good on a project of this size. I will not lie and say all was smooth sailing. There were definitely some rocky spots along the way. Even so, I am giving MHB a 5 star rating. Even when those rocky spots came up, Yaron did see things through. He did not back away or give up like some other contractors would probably do. We had an unusual situation with the ceiling and it took him several attempts until it was satisfactory. He stuck with it and saw it through. The MHB crew including George and Joe were great to work with. The other tradesmen, sub-contractors and workers overall did a very good job. The most frustrating part of the entire project was working closely with our assigned project manager, Sharon. Rather than go on about the bad experiences we had with the one person from MHB, I will just leave it at this… do yourself a favor and ask for any other project manager other than Sharon. Yaron has a great eye for design and he helped us in several areas. There were a couple of items I wish I would have received more design assistance with. There was some miscommunication about the design help overall. By February we enlisted the help of someone at the tile & granite shop because we did not hear from MHB other than to start looking at tile. By March we hired someone to come out to give us a 1-2 hour overall consultation on placement of tiles, paint colors and those type of things. A tip from me would be to put in your contract when someone will give you that help and take you shopping to help guide you along. I think this comes up for most anyone and that is not having enough one-on-one time with the person that you actually signed your contract with. It wouldn’t be reasonable that the contractor is on site each and every day. That was not our expectation. Put in your contract how often you will meet with the main contractor throughout the process. Yaron is a busy guy and it wasn’t easy to be able to meet with him for what were important matters to us. Had we known he was coming each week it would have helped us out a lot. There were ongoing issues with removing debris and keeping the site clean as reasonably possible. This may not bother most, but living in the backyard and seeing the site on a daily basis this was important to us. Especially with our dogs walking around it was important that nails and sharp items were picked up. If this is an issue for you, then note it in your contract. When it came time for paint we did have many issues that came up, even aside from the ceiling I mentioned above. To have the construction work done so well and have the construction on a level of 4-5 (on a scale of 1-5) to then realize the painting crew was not a painting contractor who would give us a nice custom paint job, we were let down there. No, the contract did not specify a painting contractor would perform the painting. It was an assumption and definitely a lesson learned. If I were to ever do a project like this again or any advice I would give is to detail the paint portion of your construction project. Detail down to the type of paint, how many coats, samples, who performs the work, etc. Jose the painter was a very nice guy and wanted to please in any way he could. Even so, in my opinion, his skills were not up to par with the type of paint job I feel this project deserved. His painting techniques left streaks, unnecessary paint lines and those sort of things. When I would point things out he would tell me “just tell me and I’ll take care of it.” Honestly… I don’t want to tell you, I expect you to know. I spent a lot of time overseeing the paint and still there are a few items here and there. I was told I was being picky. I believe I had a reasonable expectation to have perfect, or nearly perfect, paint job. My house is like new. I don’t want to look at even minor paint issues for the next 5+ years until the next paint job. We had to have our own wood floors installed. I would have preferred that this was part of MHB’s contract. Doing it that way there was some delays at a crucial period of the project. Take the time to go through things like this on your contract to truly understand what the items you are taking on and leaving out of contract will mean to you. I’ve mentioned a few areas that were not the best experience. I think it’s important to include those in the review. To expect that everything will go smoothly just isn’t realistic. Even so, overall we are very happy with our new home thanks to MHB, and especially Yaron. They are true professionals and good at what they do. Yaron will take care of you. I will recommend MHB to anyone looking for small or large projects, and that says a lot.

Being first time home owners, we were very anxious about renovating our bathrooms. We've and countless people we've asked have had some questionable and not-so-great experiences with "professional" contractors. So, we really did our research. We interviewed no less than 5 construction companies! 
We're so happy we chose My Home Builders. They delivered on schedule and did everything as promised. We lived in the house while the two bathrooms were remodeled and it was as convenient as it could have been. They never made a mess and contained the different areas so that dust clean up was minimal after they finished. 
Foreman Joe was always helpful and attentive to our project. Both Yaron and Sharon were very knowledgable and their project manager Jessie was always professional and organized. In fact, each one of their workers were polite, friendly and dedicated - these are some very hard working people! 
I would recommend My Home Builders in a heartbeat and I look forward to working with them again for my renovation needs. It's difficult to find a construction company that you can trust, but My Home really pulled through and made sure we were satisfied with the result. We love our new bathrooms and are thankful for a pleasant journey with My Home. 

After meeting with several contractors and discussing many possible plans, we ultimately decided to go with MyHomeBuilders Inc.  We were impressed by the attention to detail that Yaron, one of the owners, displayed when helping us design the layout, and his promise of never leaving a job site with a client dissatisfied was a crucial factor for us in making the decision.  After past experiences with other contractors, we wanted someone who would see the job through to the end.
Work began the week before Thanksgiving 2015 and continued through the end of January 2016.  Throughout the job, the MyHomeBuilders Inc. team conducted their work in a professional, courteous manner.
For cabinetry, we chose Kitchen Pros, who Yaron had worked with previously and had a good relationship. The cabinets we chose look fabulous, and the cabinet installers have been great to work with, adjusting plans to fit our needs and fixing any problems as they arose. The one piece we had to order outside of Kitchen Pros was a decorative range hood cover. To get the look we wanted, Yaron suggested we go custom.  This path was a little more expensive, but the result speaks for itself when you enter the kitchen, and we couldn?t be happier.
Like every project, ours was met with challenges. At one point, after the paint was on the walls, we had a moment of panic where we felt we?d made an error and things weren?t coming together the way we thought they would.  Roy and Yaron worked with us to stay on budget, and even offered to repaint the kitchen at-cost.  In the end, we decided to keep the color and are happy we did, seeing how it came together with the cabinets, tile and countertops. But it speaks volumes that MyHomeBuilders was willing to work with us and goes to show the dedication Yaron and his team possess in achieving their clients? satisfaction. Their professionalism and experience kept any hiccups that were encountered just that ? small, easily fixed, no drama issues.
Toward the end of the project, Jackie came in to supervise the final touches.  This is where MyHomeBuilders Inc. really shines.  Never did we feel rushed, or that our concerns weren?t being addressed.  Everything was handled professionally, courteously, and promptly.
Every remodel will have its trials, but with MyHomeBuilders Inc., you can breathe easy knowing that your vision of the remodel will be fulfilled in the smoothest way possible.  Thanks Yaron, Roy, Jackie, Humberto, and the MyHomeBuilders team for helping us settle into our new home!    

When I planned to do my house renovation projects, I contacted my next door neighbor who has just finished home addition for two beds and one bath. He gave me his contractor?s phone number. The contractor came and I told him my home projects. He made measurements but didn?t contact me after a few weeks. When I asked him when can he start, he said he does not really know. With  el nino is coming and my roof is desperately need a makeover, I decide to look for another contractor. Using the home construction booklet that comes with mail, I pick a few contractors and start doing my research. When reading the reviews on the others, I have noticed My Home Builders from Yelp.com. The reviews are positive so I give My Home Builders a call for the estimate.
Yaron came to my place the next day after. We talked and exchanged a few ideas. For the whole period of consultation, he asked very detail questions, something I haven?t thought about before. The first impression is good.
The first phase project includes front wall renovation, 5 windows replacement, new roof, electric panel upgrade and rewire, exterior and interior paint plus a few small jobs on the house. Since I have got most of the jobs estimated separately before, when Yaron gave me his, his number fits to my expectation. I agrees to proceed.
One thing I learned from working with My Home Builders is that they are really fast, extreme home makeover fast. I had hired other contractors before. The speed of My Home Builders is impressive. In less than 3 weeks, most of the works are completed. However, with the speed like that, any potential customers need make sure they can secure all the materials they want. I initially wanted fiberglass windows but have to settled for Vinyl later because of the schedule. I don't want delay.
Yaron is very passionate on what he does. To him, each project is not just a job but an artwork. He wants to create something that he is proud of. He won?t hesitate express his feelings if he does not agree. Working with him, we are more like collaborators than home owner/contractor. The finished jobs are impressive.
The whole house projects start something small and lead to something big. I?ve just settled an agreement with My Home Builders to do a whole house remodeling (kitchen and bath) and room addition (adding one more bedroom and bath, about 300 SQF total).
Any home owners who live in the premises through the phase of home remodeling would understand how stressful it is. Just judging by the speed of the process, I would highly recommend My Home Builders.
When making a decision of hiring someone, please know that there are different types of contractors out there. Some are the handyman style which take whatever the jobs come to their way. Most likely, the guy you contact with will be the guy do the projects, plus a few helps from the day labors. Price is usually in the lower end and work quality is uncertain. Fortunately, My Home Builder is not the handyman style. I am glad I choose My Home Builders. No only they deliver the quality I like with a reasonable price, but finish the projects fast.

We are starting the renovation in two weeks and we are very excited! We will post a follow-up review about how things turned out.

First off, a lot of builders were not as accommodating because we live in Burbank and they have all shied away from our project because getting permits would take forever. Several asked us to get back to them after we have pulled permits. Yuron was different from day one. Very patient and receptive of our needs. He works with you from the first day making sure you get exactly what your looking for regardless of whether you decide to work with him or not. He takes real interest in understand your style and needs. We've had atleast 7 to 8 rounds of design discussions before we even met his Architect and his expertise is invaluable. His architect Yuval was just as fabulous. His designs are one of a kind. I cannot wait to get started on our construction with them.

After YEARS of plumbing issues, Yaron and team came in quickly and replaced our entire main line under the house as well as the sewer line that ran next to our house.  The workers were great and the entire process was painless.  We were even able to use our water at night every day of the job.  After the workers completed the work, they did a great job of cleaning up the site and getting everything back to normal.
Yaron was a rockstar and handled all of the permits and inspections and made everything so easy.  We've worked with Yaron and his team before and we will definitely be working with them in the future!

I can't sing enough praises for My Home Builders!! They really take away the dread and headache that usually comes with home renovation projects. I had this perfect idea of what I wanted in my head, but in all the magazines I looked through, I just couldn't find the "it" I had imagined, then I met with Ran. He listened to what it was that I was looking for...like actually listened and not constantly trying to steer my vision like some others I'd received quotes from. It was so much less stress than the remodel of the master bedroom itself...finally an enjoyable home project! AND he stuck to his word: pricing was on point, the deadline was met (such a rarity with these things), there weren't layers of dust throughout the house when they left, AND I got my zen bathroom!!! Finally a tub deep enough to enjoy a nice bath and an open rain shower!! I could not be happier with how it all turned out! Thank you Ran and THANK YOU My Home Builders for bringing zen back to my home projects!!!

I hope this helps you out.  I wanted to tell you a little bit about my experience with my home builders. so this is how it all happened. my wife and I had bought this condo in Studio City and it needed quite a bit of work in order for it to look the way we wanted it to. so I went online and started research to try and find the right contractor for the job, which was not easy since I didn't know what I'm looking for As I am very new to this construction thing.  but we got lucky. my wife had me go on yelp and search for a company. I did just that. I came across my home builders, I read their reviews, and knew that this would be the right company for the job. So at this point they came out they gave us an estimate. we were comfortable with their knowledge of what had to be done and we decided to get started with the project right away. We had one bathroom that needed a total remodel, and kitchen cabinets that required a facelift, and repainted the entire condo. They did such a wonderful job, and they sure are a great bunch. Thank you Roy & Yaron. You guys delivered all that was promised and more. 

After going to several of the chain home improvement stores
to renovate our kitchen we came to the conclusion that we were just a number to
them.  We were far from satisfied in the lack of attention and level of care we were getting and began the search for a
contractor.  Once we found Yaron and My Home Builders we knew right away he and his company were right for our project.
 From start to finish not only was it obvious that Yaron genuinely cared that we were completely happy with every
aspect of the project but also that the final product was something that he
could be proud of.  
Unlike the chain stores Yaron handled everything.  From demolition to coordinating various
stages of construction to permitting and inspections, I did not have to worry
about a thing.  He kept the job running smoothly and got us back in our new kitchen faster than anticipated.          
As with many contractors they try to nickel and dime you
over the course of the project or look for change orders any chance they
get.  With My Home Builders this is not the case.  Several minor issues arose
during construction, which were taken care of as quickly as they came up,
keeping the project on budget and ahead of schedule?without additional cost,
impressive. 
As we get settled into our new kitchen we couldn?t be any
happier with the results.  I would recommend My Home Builders to anyone, and in fact, have already let my friends
and co-workers know about them.

We where very impressed with Yaron and the team of My Home Builders. Yaron is a creative artist in renovation and building design. His design ideas are outstanding and he is uniquely gifted with a very high end touch. He let us view the design in a 3 dimensional software, which gave us a much better picture of the actual outcome. His work process is very professional and diligent. He guided and showed us the right accessories for our bathroom remodeling, which helped a lot put his vision into action for us. His quality and support was beyond our expectation. Yaron and his Home Builders team are as good as it gets!
