+ 0 moreVery professional. Understands different materials. The previous plumber put in Galvanized pipes/connectors above my brand new hot water tank. 1 year later they were rusted and leaking. Paster & Son replaced the bad pipes/connectors with brass and cooper. They were very responsive to my emergency call on a Saturday.

+ 0 moreMy water heater suddenly started leaking seriously. Fortunately, it is in the garage. Unfortunately, it was a very old unit. Ed Paster came out within an hour, diagnosed the problem as requiring replacement of the unit, quoted me a price, and was back to install the new unit by early afternoon. Initially, after the new unit was in, it took a long time for hot water to get to my shower at the back of the house. Within a week, however, that situation had resolved itself and the water heater has worked perfectly and continues to do so.
Description of Work: Provided and installed new water heater. Removed and hauled away old one.

He checked all of my plumbing but was unable to find a leak so it seems the issue is coming from the roof or my neighbors plumbing. Jay gave me a lot of tips on what I should do next.

Description of Work: replaced a broken control box on our water heater, which was still covered by the warranty, so we just paid for labor of $168 minus $20 (Angie's list coupon). He arrived promptly, assessed the problem and was done with the installation in less than 30 minutes.

+ 0 moreThis was a difficult job. The drain had been blocked for a long time. It took almost two hours to clear it with the snack. At first the snake went through, but the drain didn't clear. We could see that roots had grown into the drainage pipe. The snake pulled out big clumps of roots. The drainage pipe was approached from the street and from the drain in the side yard. The snake was repeatedly run through. I was very relieved when the pipe cleared. The service was very professional and it was obvious a high level of expertise was needed in this case

+ -1 moreThey put a camera down the drain after clearing it and told me I had extensive roots and needed to replace my sewer pipe from my house drain to the street for $3850. I told them I would check with my regular plumber and let them know. I called my regular plumber and he came out and also put his camera down. He told me that he would replace the connection between the house and sewer line but that I did not need to replace the pipe. He charged me $800 so I saved $3,000.
Description of Work: My regular plumber was out of town for Labor Day weekend. My drains backed up from my washing machine. I called them and they came out that day. I told them what the problem was and that I had gotten them from Angie's list and what my regular plumber charged me.

I thought it was coming from the area from where my timer is for my sprinkler system but somebody from Angie’s List came and informed me that I needed a plumber. Angie’s List recommended them to me because they supposedly knew about mobile homes. The owner was not too well and I had the flu too. They fixed everything. I spent a lot on buying a new pipe. They were great. There was a guy who knows everything about mobile home and he looked at what Ed Paster had done and said it was fine. They checked all the pipes that were on the street as well and said everything was fine. Their price was pretty normal for the work that they did and they did a lot of work.
Description of Work: I used Ed Paster And Son Plumbing & Rooter for plumbing and checked the main lines as well.

+ -1 moreIt actually went beyond our expectations. The job was done right without any problems. Matthew took care of all the permits and made sure that all paperwork was in order and completed.. They had to dig a huge hole in my front yard which was put back exactly as it was before.
Description of Work: We had issues with water damage which resulted in replacing new exterior sewer line. Matthew is an asset to this company. He is personable, professional and did an excellent job. This gentleman carries the phrase "above and beyond" to a different level. Chris, who is in the office, is about as professional as they come. It's been a long time since I have heard someone so well mannered and respectful. Willing to do whatever it takes to make a customer satisfied. These two make this company. We did have one encounter with Joe. No personality and doubt that he has the knowledge to accurately inform a customer. We would most definitely do business with Matthew and Chris again. I can honestly say you can trust them!

+ -1 more|I am on a raised foundation with available cleanouts under the house but they refused to go under the house. I called Ed Paster and they agreed to come out that day. |They arrived at promised time and were able to clear the stoppages by snaking thru the front shower drain. my reason for giving them a b rating was because the snake left a lot of filth in my shower. I have a hand held shower fixture and a 15 second spray on the walls would have been appreciated. By the time I discovered the mess it had dried and i had to scrub with clorox and a scrub brush. Other then that issue, they were fine.
Description of Work: I had stoppages in my sewer system which my home warranty company refused to try to clear unless i had an above ground cleanout installed for 750.00.

+ 0 moreWe continue to use Paster Plumbing because they do a good job, are timely and courteous.We have used them for a master water value replacement, kitchen sink drainage issues, water heater safety release installation, emergency shower repair and yesterday's service repair to the temperature regulator/cartridge in our shower.
Description of Work: He evaluated our tiolets for a system-wide backup and snaked two of the tiolets; recommended installing a higher grade tiolet as those installed in the home were very low quality and contributing to backups. He repaired the shower cartridge which controls the water temperature. Worked great after repair.

+ -1 moreThis was an exceptional experience and exactly what we hoped for based on all the great reviews we had read on Angie's List. Jay was very professional, very knowledgeable and very friendly. He answered every question I had and seemed happy to do it. He also explained everything he was doing and why as well as showing me what the problems were. We purchased a foreclosed home about a year ago and everything about it has been great--except for the plumbing. We have much more work to be done in the future and will definitely be calling Ed Paster & Sons to do the work!!!
Description of Work: Replaced old galvanized pipe 90 degree angle under kitchen sink that had rusted through. Small hole in pipe was shooting water inside the wall. Had to open up 4' of stucco on the outside of wall to get to the problem, but problem fixed beautifully. Also replaced very poorly done pipe work previously done under the kitchen sink that had been leaking.
