Description of Work: They came to re-install a toilet and ended sailing me a new sewage line. |telling me that there were roots in the line. They could not show me one piece of pipe that had roots inside it.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon for service for two tankless water heaters I have in my home. Overall the flushing went without incident and the service tech sent out was generally nice. While he was at the house he told me my water pressure regulator was broken, that my home had a pressure over 110 psi, which is not good as it should be below 80, he quoted me approximately a $1000 fee to replace - at which time I told him I would contact my home warranty company to have them come out as that will only cost me $60. I called my home warranty co. and they sent out a different plumber. He checked multiple locations around the hot water heaters and the max pressure he could find was 70 psi. He said there was no possibility that the other service tech could have received a pressure of 110 any where in the house and felt that the other tech from Ed Paster and Son - may have been looking to add on additional unnecessary services. I paid my $60 home warranty fee for him to come out and thanked him. I did call Ed Paster and Son and told them my concerns about the original quote as well as the additional $60 that cost me to find out there wasnt an actual problem, but they have not called me back.

Description of Work: I hired Paster plumbing to fix clogged storm drain issues in my backyard. When the technician arrived, I explained to him that another plumber had rootered the drains and was unsuccessful. I asked him if he would use a camera to look at the drains and if hydro jetting would be a potential solution. He said using a camera was useless and he had to use a snake because he didn't know the quality of the previous plumber. I let him proceed and he spent two hours and got no where. I was charged close to $500 and nothing was achieved. | |I called Paster back and was told if I used them for hydro jetting ($975 for the first two hours), they would credit me for the money I had already spent. I agreed and the original technician came out to supervise the hydrojetting crew. Before he proceeded, I asked him again if it would make sense to use the camera before proceeding. He said the camera would not show them anything and they would use it at the end if they were unsuccessful. After close to two hours of hydrojetting, they told me the lines needed to be replaced and they presented me with an estimate for 15k. | |Based on a referral, I had LA Hyrdo-jet come out for a second opinion. The first thing the plumber did for free was use his camera and locator to evaluate the situation. He was able to show me on his monitor where the lines were crushed. He gave me an estimate of just under 3k to run new lines and install a sump pump. The next week his crew came out and performed the job and my drains are now flowing again. | |I called Paster up and explained the situation to them and asked that they give me a partial credit. They agreed to only charge me $500 but instead ran my credit card for $975 which I disputed with the credit card cmopany.

Description of Work: They were prompt in response to my call. The "technician" arrived on time and was friendly and well mannered. He determined the water heater needed to be replaced and several upgrades were required for code. The price he quoted seemed excessive and I asked for the quote to be itemized but he could only tell me the added items and not the prices of the individual parts. I needed the water heater replaced and went ahead the job. He called and ordered the equipment and we waited a couple of hours for it to arrive. A different technician came with the stuff and did the installation. He worked hard and completed the job. It took all day including the wait time.

Description of Work: Paster and Sons cleaned my blocked kitchen drain quickly and efficiently. I'm extremely happy with their service and will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: A damaged valve in my facet system was punctured and needed repair.

Description of Work: About 7pm. water was running down side of the house (from the washing machine) and from the main drain cleanout in the front of the house. We called and a service person was out within 30 min. - assessed the problem and repaired it within another 30 min. The main drain was clogged and he cleared the drain and put a new cap on the washer's pipe at the side of the house (the old one had blown off - due to pressure - and if it had NOT - we would have had a house full of water.
