Inception Home Remodeling

I was very happy with the service. They were punctual, neat, and cleaned up well. They did a very particular and detailed job. Scheduling was excellent and they followed up with me.

Work was never done properly. I paid an extra $500 for extra tile and I had to call three times to get tile back. They redid tile work that didn't need to be done. I was told I would have an experienced person to lay tile, but it was laid unevenly. Asked for stove and dishwasher to be pulled out and re-tiled, but they did not do the bottom of the dshwasher. They did not put the appliances back properly. The work was not what I expected and as far as I'm concerned, the job is not complete. Ran out of grouting and had to wait two weeks. Work was not up to standards. It was not good work. Was a horrible and frustrating experience. I feel like I was ripped off.

Never followed up to schedule work even though I prepaid.

Eyal and Inception Home Remodeling replaced all the rotted eaves, facia boards and gutters around the front of my house. He was professional, arrived on time, was considerate in using materials I already had to save money, and never replaced anything that didn't need replacing. The crews he provided were the hardest working I have ever seen, and always cleaned up when they were done. Eyal himself was always available for questions I had, calling me back within minutes. I am planning to use his company again for the long list of remodeling projects I have for my house. Definitely an "A" rating.

After a little bouncing between between company staff, the owner contacted me and it went well. I received professional treatment and respect.( I was unhappy with the hourly charge after the deal was used; $75.00 per hour.) I also would suggest that the homeowner, who is supplying materials, be told more approximately what should be purchased. ( Taking time to go to hardware stores is counted against the hours). Fortunately, I know about this, and was able to have the materials on hand, except for one large board, critical to the project. I rummaged though my basement and found a board and we did not have to waste time on a trip to Home Depot. Also, I had to supply tools to the technician who surprisly did not carry a 'rip saw' on his truck. This was odd as this was a fascia job and it it known this tool is used. I sound like I'm griping,but these are suggestions for the next person. I liked these people and they worked very hard.

Remember, it always takes longer than you think it will. But in the end the work was done well, work site was left clean, and the builder was polite and brought all the necessary tools so didn’t have to leave and come back.

I finally called the Inception Remodeling - the owner told me the TV mount bracket is not included in the deal, and the phone got disconnected. I don't know whether he hung up on me because I was asking a few questions.

I got five hours of labor…. didn't want them to continue.

I've never had to manage a job when hiring a general contractor. This general contractor was only at site when he wanted to get paid, he never came in person when there was a problem. This was supposed to take no more than 2 weeks, has taken 6 weeks and we’re still having problems. There was a tile shower installed without doors. Before we even started using it the shower leaked, saturating one of our walls. I called him to let him know and he texted me that he would send somebody out to fix it . One week later it is leaking again and I have had to hire someone else to fix shoddy workmanship. His workers have come unprepared, lacking correct tools and supplies. This almost lead to flooding of our neighbor when a worker did not have a wrench to shut of a water valve. There have been multiple mistakes along the way that I had to point out, to get fixed. There has been no communication or planning, such as not knowing when water needed to be turned off or having grout for tiling. I paid almost $12,000 for a shower that is not functional. I don’t want him to come back out and fix the shower since it was already done incorrectly the first two times. It looks pretty, but when the wall was opened up it revealed duct tape holding the plumbing to the wall joints. The general contractor will not communicate with me by phone, he will only text and when we talk he is not willing to change his behavior or try to make the situation better. This job has been done very unprofessionally and I will need another contractor to fix all the mistakes he has made.

The deal was for a bathroom remodel that would cost $5K. There were exceptions listed in the offer so I anticipated having to spend more. (I figured about $8k) Once I got the estimate it was over $11k and there were still a number of items I would have to provide to finish the job. While Rani was very responsive, and professional, even offered me an additional discount to get the cost to the final estimate of $11k, the job was outside of my budget.

Ever since I purchased my home 17 years ago, I have wanted to install windows on either side of my fireplace to bring more light into my living room. The problem was that the wooden fire box was so oversized that there was no room for windows. When Inception Home Remodeling discovered termites in my chimney requiring demolition of the lower half, I was able to consider getting the windows I had always wanted. During the chimney demolition, Eyal of Home Inception Remodeling had ordered the windows. His co-worker, Ron dropped off the windows on Sunday. His workers, Pedro and Cesar arrived about 9:00am on Monday morning. I had already decided where the windows would go so the first order of business was to mark them out on the wall. After covering the furniture, they went to work cutting the windows. It took about a day and a half from start to finish. The windows look great and they match the exterior style of the other windows of the house. I am so pleased with the way they turned out. The next project will be a mantlepiece and built in bookshelves. I'll be calling Inception Home Remodeling when I am ready to start that project.

Rani is a very nice man to deal with. His crew arrived right on time. I was apprised of their arrival the night before. They are a hard-working crew. They worked non-stop and well together to tear-off, make repairs and properly shingle my house. For all of the work that it entailed, the price was a good value.

I initially got in touch with Inception Home Remodeling when I bought the $400 for $159 Big Deal, which I applied toward the cost of the project. Eyal came over at the appointed time to discuss what we needed and we agreed on the scope of the project. Two days later his crew arrived to begin the work. They spent two days tearing out the three gates and building three new ones. We had some concerns about the security and appearance of the gates and Eyal worked with us even after we had made final payment to ensure that we were happy with the result. The gates are gorgeous -- his crew did a top notch job from selecting materials to final painting. The only problem is that I now need to make the rest of the house look as nice as my garden gates. The only minor criticism I have would be on this initial communication about the job: when Eyal's crew arrived to do the job we had to explain it to them, and it seemed that they hadn't been given detailed instructions. It was clear, however, that Inception was juggling a lot of jobs due to their Angie's List Special. I have to especially commend Eyal and Inception for going out of the way to make sure my husband and I were happy with the job. We've had bad experiences with contractors and repairmen in the past, and it's made us a little jumpy. It's been great to work with a contractor who does the job right and goes the extra mile! We'll be doing quite a bit of home repair and remodeling in the next year or so, and while we'll be getting bids from several contractors they'll have to blow us away to beat out Inception.

Rani Hafner, owner of Home Inception, was remarkable. He took the time to sit with me prior to the renovation, kept in touch with me during the renovation and was a professional through and through. What I appreciated was the ability to make payments, as the project progressed. He did not expect the entire amount paid up front or at the end. Rani had a great crew, who did not leave a mess when they completed each of their tasks. He worked with me on the permits and on all the required paperwork needed for my condo association. If necessary, Rani would come out on a Sunday to see how things were gonig in the kitchen. My only complaint was about the granite product ... sections did not match with one another and one section had a big black streak; Mr. Hafner then replaced the granite to make it right. What I kept hearing throughout the renovation was, "I want you to like what we do and be happy with the finished product." I am certainly thrilled with finished product and will gladly refer Home Inception to others. Bathrooms next?!?!?

Eyal and his worker, Pedro arrived promptly at 9:00am on the scheduled day. First order of business was the demolition of the lower half of the old chimney. Once it was done, we decided that windows were definitely a possibility so I showed Eyal some magazine clippings I had saved of various fireplace treatments. The window installation would be handled as a separate job. Once the chimney surround was demolished, it became obvious that the gas line needed to be moved. Pedro was able to turn off the gas and move the gas line inside the wood surround. The new section matches the existing portion of the chimney and the smaller firebox is a major improvement. Pedro painted a few other damaged areas around the exterior house for no charge. Everything was quickly and professionally done. All the old wood and other debris was hauled away. I would definitely use Inception Home Remodeling again.

We had wanted our old cheap 1980's bathroom remodeled for a long time, their Angie's List Big Deal was a perfect fit for our small 5x8 bathroom. The owner, Rani, reviewed the deal parameters and cost, wrote up the work order, and asked us to purchase the materials before work would be scheduled. He advised on the shower tile we originally purchased which was too thin and also suggested we find larger tile so there would be less grout to clean. The first day of the job, the team was late from traffic from another job, and I had to call, but after that they were on time every day. Demolition was completed the first day, however they discovered mold behind the shower walls and were required to stop work for inspection and removal of mold before the remodel could resume. Rani offered a referral for a mold inspector and to do the remediation, however we decided to contact our insurance and HOA to be safe, and it was a good thing we did, they had to send their own people to evaluate the mold problem for the claim. After the mold problem was fixed (which took about a month due to insurance review), we were pleasantly surprised that Inception was able to get us back in the schedule within a week, and Rani also checked in with us regarding rescheduling which was reassuring. We contracted with Inception to also do the additional repairs to bathroom drywall, fixing the leaky shower valve and faucet diverter, and repairs to dining room drywall and painting which resulted from the mold repairs. They began with repairing drywall in the dining room so the remodel could be closed off. They repainted the dining room wall and replaced the molding good as new. Diego and Julio did a beautiful job tiling the shower and the floors and with the job overall. Julio provided pictures for ideas of how to layout the tiles. Our old bathroom walls and ceiling had lots of imperfections that they completely smoothed out, including crooked drywall behind the sink from crooked studs, and poor patch jobs from past repairs and light installations.They were both very helpful answering questions, and explaining the steps of the job as work progressed. Even with the additional work, they completed the job in a week and a half. They arrived on time every day and cleaned up after they left - not "toddler proof clean" but clean enough. There were a couple miscommunications which were quickly resolved - brought the wrong color tub initially, and once not advising of water shut off so we could give the neighbors a heads up. The tub was chipped during the remodel and patched. But they also advised when the materials we purchased weren't quite right, which they didn't have to do - a too short towel bar, and the thin tile we originally purchased. A week and a half after work was completed we noticed the grout cracking in the corner of the shower, Julio came to our house on a Sunday to repair it, using stronger grout, which was really great. All in all we were very impressed with the work, love waking up to our beautiful new bathroom, and would definitely use Inception again.

They are the best! On time every time, started the job and stayed on the job until it was finished. The job was finished before the deadline and it is so beautiful! I love this company! They were very professional and super sweet. They explained everything to me all along the way and went above and beyond for me. I am already doing another project with them. High quality work and high quality people, love, love, love!

Didn't care for the vendor. I thought he was sloppy and unprofessional so I did not use him. Date about is only inputed to satisfy your website request. Not an accurate date. Don't remember. Just want the refund. Thanks you.

We placed our order for wood rot/restoration deal on Angie's List with Inception Home Remodeling on October 2, 2013. We didn't hear from the service provider until Angie's List sent us a request asking if we had received a call from the service provider. Inception Home Remodeling then sent an Angie's List message on October 7th stating they would call. The service provider did not call as stated. When we didn't receive a telephone call we contacted the service provider and provided them with the scope of work and let them know we had already purchased the wood for the replacement and to schedule the work to be completed. Inception Home Remodeling stated they would only be at our home to provide an estimate on October 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. The consultant was courteous enough to call prior to the appointed time and state that he would be late prior to arriving 20 minutes late. Upon his arrival, the consultant reiterated that he would only be giving us an estimate. We showed him the approximate one foot area of home exterior wood fascia trim that needed to be replaced and showed him the required material we had purchased. The consultant immediately began stating that was not what they really do, they repair, and then stated they would need probably two guys and two days, $1,200-$1,700 and would have to take off our roof shingles, then remove the wood trim and do the necessary repair work. We are not professionals, however the estimate was outrageous from the very beginning. A bait and switch, and extremely excessive for the minimal amount of work to be performed. The consultant was poking and stabbing at additional areas of our trim to try and cause additional damage. We told him we would review his verbal estimate. The consultant then stated he could "repair" rotted wood on another area, our barbeque area cabinets that we were in the process of replacing (obviously beyond repair) for the $159.00 special by puttying and painting. This was obviously not acceptable to just putty and "repair", a job we would not call in a consultant to complete. We felt this was a total misrepresentation of an Angie's List deal for wood rot/restoration.

One man did all the work and finished in less time than expected.

ordered big deal, got email from vendor. no reply for another 5 days. initiated call to vendor, he said was too busy to call me but could set up an appointment at that time. wasn't apologetic,,, seemed arrogant and indifferent. fool me once, curse on you,,,, fool me twice, curse on me. I won't work with this guy.

The contractor was amazing, and I would love to have used him. The Big Deal was limited to an extremely small area so in order to complete the work that needed to be done I would have had to spend an extra $13 to $15K that I didn't feel comfortable committing to at this time. The photos of this contractor's work were spectacular and his personal character/integrity was very high. I know I would have been thrilled with the work he would have done, it was just too expensive for me at this time.

It went ok. I just felt the estimate was high and certainly well beyond my means. I really didn't like how pushy he was to get started when I clearly wasn't interested. I also didn't like being suggested financing and using credit cards to make it happen. I'm sure they do good work. I just don't like being pressured that way.

The service provider came to my home to inspect the building and to give an estimate, but upon inspection, discovered that the building was not to code electrically and refused to work on that part of the structure.

I called inception to get a quote for having new kitchen counter tops installed. They did an excellent job and showed up on time. I was very impressed with their friendliness and patience. They took the time to talk to me and my wife about options for our kitchen I kitchen is not a standard shape and has a few areas with two level countertops. I cannot say if their price is reasonable because I they were the first company to visit my home. I did feel very comfortable that the work they would perform would be done well. I will say they they are professional and have followed up with me to see if there was anything else I needed. Overall, I enjoyed my experience with Inception and I would recommend contacting them for your kitchen needs.
