Description of Work: The deal was $159 for four hours of wood rot restoration/repair or exterior carpentry. They were expensive but they were pretty attentive. They also did some mold removal and had to redo the bathroom.

Description of Work: CONTRACTOR CAME OUT ON DEC. 16TH TO GIVE ESTIMATE OF JOB. WANTED TO DO MORE THAN WHAT WAS ASKED OF HIM AT A COST OF 1200.00. WE DENIED HAVING THAT WORK DONE. THE COST OF ACTUAL JOB WAS 449.00, WHICH WAS ALSO MORE THAN EXPECTED. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL ON JAN 2ND TO CONFIRM A DAY AND TIME FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE. DURING SAID TIME, A FRIEND SAID HE WOULD DO THE WORK FOR US, WE ONLY NEEDED TO PURCHASE MATERIALS. ON FRIDAY, JAN 2ND, I CALLED TO HAVE DEAL CANCELED, AND ASKED WHETHER I SHOULD CALL CONTRACTOR. I WAS TOLD THAT YOU WOULD CONTACT SERVICE PROVIDER. ON MONDAY, JAN 5TH, A WORKER CAME TO DO WORK, AND WE TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS CANCELED. THE SERVICE PROVIDER CALLED MOMENTS LATER AND GAVE US AN EARFUL! JUST BEFORE HANGING UP, HE CALLED MY HUSBAND A "F------ B----! AND HUNG UP THE PHONE! THIS IS SO TRUE AND WE ARE STILL DUMBFOUNDED AT HIS REACTION.

Description of Work: Rani, Inception representative did not keep the scheduled appointment and failed to re-schedule in a timely manner. My experience with Inception was horrible and would not recommend anyone to use them.

Description of Work: We got immediate response from Rani and he came to give us an estimate in a very timely fashion. Our kitchen is approximately 4 times the size of the Big Deal estimates. We were not prepared for that big a discrepancy as our cost was also going to be about 4 times the price of the Big Deal. We were pleased with Rani's ideas and his prompt response, but the sticker shock was more than we could budget for at this time.

Description of Work: Felt like a bate & switch. Provider estimated the actual cost would be (at least) $3k. Not interested! I will install new linoleum flooring from Home Depot for $280.

Description of Work: Rani is the owner of Inception and he will be the contractor on your job. I was impressed with Rani at our first meeting, and it was a relatively easy decision to work with him. He's professional, amiable, and as a contractor he truly seems to have your best interests in mind as the homeowner---he understands that good business is about fostering and maintaining good relationships. For example, when I first met with him, I described our roofing needs and what I thought would be the best solution; Rani took that into consideration, and gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote for the work required...and then he proceeded to offer an alternative solution that was actually better than what I had originally wanted, and---drumroll please---it was also a less expensive solution! He could have easily just gone with what I was asking for and bagged himself a tidy fee in the process; but instead, he took the time to present and explain a different way of getting the same result that would save us a couple of thousand dollars. Seriously! We've had several instances just like that---where Rani respectfully offers an invariably better solution---and they are always with our interests in mind. And then he and his crew deliver excellent craftsmanship on top of the excellent customer service. All of his crew were polite and friendly. They did great work. And they work on schedule...actually they finished ahead of schedule! I've had nothing but a positive experience with Rani; and I came into this process skeptical and leery as this was our first home and first major job. Rani will really work with you, as he did with us, because he understands that your happiness is his future business. That's why we secured Rani for even more work with our house (which I will be writing about and posting photos of soon). I give Inception a strong endorsement, and even though they don't have hundreds of reviews (yet!), you can rest assured you are getting premium work at a fair (and even exceptional) price.
