Estimate and turnaround were prompt (once I stopped using the Angie's List Quote feature - which did not pass along communication properly in either direction!). They were very accommodating to my schedule. However, perhaps since it was in haste, the doors arrived covered in sawdust and it wasn't all removed prior to installation so they had to come back. The doors themselves look pretty good, but had several small problems in installation and so a 2nd visit was required to get everything fixed up. One error was that the doors were not produced according to my request (windows in wrong location) - this wasn't feasible to fix so I was given an extension on the warranty instead. The doors look great and I'm glad I chose this model, although I'm curious to see how long the rubber gaskets last since they are already misshapen at the edges. Although the company was responsive to the reported problems and everyone was very nice, I don't consider the overall experience an "A" if I have to spend that much time working to get everything "right".

The install work was well done, and the sales staff were very helpful as well.

They showed up the day after they gave me an estimate and finished the job that day. I have had some trouble with the opener but they were very responsive and finally decided to perpalce the unit with a new one.

From initial call--recommended by our handyman friend--RW Garage Doors followed through, estimate to performance of work. Very punctual, in fact installers came ahead of scheduled time.

I had an outstanding experience with them. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Called for a garage door opener repair. Same day appointment arrived on time. It went down hill from there. Repair turned into a garage door and opener replacement. I was shown no brochures, no options just a flat rate. I was asked for my credit card before services were rendered and then was told they do not accept American Express, even though it says they accept AMEX on the Angie's list site. (This is the reason I selected this vendor. The owner did give me an additional opener for the inconvenience) Later an installer arrived with a door a completely different color and asking why I needed a new garage door. The installer was polite, professional and expeditious. Once the service was completed I received a receipt that was not itemized so I have no idea what materials were installed nor the price. When I asked about a copy of the warranty, I was told to call the company. The next week I receive a call saying my credit card was declined only to find out that the number that was taken before services were rendered was written incorrectly. I would suggest that women whose husband's are deployed should not use this vendor.

The technician was knowledgeable and focused. There was no effort to upsell, or any of the other "scam" techniques some websites have noted are present in the garage door service industry. He showed me all the steps he took, even told me what spring I would need when it breaks again. He was also very efficient -- I figure part of my cost was in having the job done quickly.

They were excellent and I was very pleased with the service. I had a subsequent problem and they fixed it right away. This was a year later and they were really wonderful. Even after all this time I remember how outstanding they were and they didn't even charge me for the repair. I got a great price for the quality of door that I got. It was a fully insulated door. I had shopped around. The original person that installed my door didn't do it exactly the way it should have been done and that is why I had the subsequent problem.

They showed up when they were supposed to and they fixed the problem. They showed up the day I called them.

I couldn't get my garage door to close or open. So I called and he told me to check to see if there was something blocking the laser beam at the bottom of the garage door! There was and I moved it. The door worked perfectly. He was so kind to listen to me and take the time to help me! It made my day!!!

Our double bay garage door mount on the right side FAILED last week, creating a dangerous situation from the high tension roller, and rendered 2/3rds of our garage unusable. The project manager for the original builder on this semi-custom home could not locate record of the original installer, so I was left to my own devices to find someone reputable in Garage door repair. Recent buzz on the reliability of Angie's website had me signing up and searching for a reputable install/repair company in our vicinity this morning, and based upon positive reviews of RW, I gave them a call. The service call was $129, with any additional work to include the SC, not in addition to. I liked that. They had a technician out in Benicia for the morning, so my service call was tacked on his day. "Ken" was on time, pleasant, and professional! Looking at the work, he said it was doable at no additional cost to the service charge. Based upon (expensive!) work I'd had done at a prior residence for a minor repair I was SO pleased at that, and felt it was VERY reasonable. He completed the repair, 'tuned' and serviced the door all within the service fee, and my big door works like the day it was new. This company gets two big thumbs up from me, with assurances that I will recommend them to friends in the future. Thanks, RW :)

RW Garage Doors were an excellent contractor. They came to our house right away. They temporarily fixed our old door so we could get it open, at no charge, and then brought the new door out at a mutually agreed upon time. The installation was great and we received more things, like remotes for our cars and one for outside, a thermometer and clock for the garage and etc., than we expected. Everyone was polite and a pleasure to deal with. Another thing I liked in these times was they made the door on their premises. So when we bought the door we were keeping local people employed from start to finish. We haven't had any trouble with the door and I don't anticipate we will but I'm sure if we do they will respond quickly to make it right. They're everything one is looking for in a local business.

I strongly recommend RW Garage Door! They did a great job. Came on time, did a neat job and cleaned up promptly(they didn't charge for removing my old door opener!!). The installer was very kind and did a great job explaining everything very clearly. The price I paid was very competitive as well!!

I found them in the Yellow Pages. They were pretty good. They weren't the cheapest, but they had good service. They were pretty fast. They gave me a bid and they let me know it probably wasn't going to be the cheapest but they were going to stand behind their product for five years and it was going to take two people to do it, and that's what happened. I did call other people. I even called the people who originally put the garage door in, and their price was way higher and I wasn't really impressed with their product since we bought this house brand new. To me, they used the cheapest material, and their price was just so high I couldn't believe it. This place just seemed like a better company. The price was really good. They told me that the replacement on replacing a garage door like that would have been over $900, because we were thinking about just repairing it at this point, but they gave me a discount of $700 so I told them to just go ahead and replace it. The only thing that didn't need to be replaced was the motor; they replaced everything else. I was pleased. We've had it for a couple of weeks and haven't had any problems with it. I gave them an A on punctuality and responsiveness because they came the next day within the time window. They were very professional. I would hire them again.

I received three estimates from three companies. They were all fairly close. Differences were probably due to slight differences in quality and warranty. The installation went perfectly with one small exception. The next day after reading the installation checklist that they gave me, I realized that they were supposed to caulk the trim. I'm sure they would have done it if I called them, but it was easier to do it myself.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY GAVE ME A FREE PRICE QUOTE. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND HAD THE GARAGE DOOR INSTALLED AND WORKING VERY QUICKLY. THEY WERE POLITE AND COURTEOUS. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I THINK THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY. THEY ARRIVED TO DO THE WORK ON TIME AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT. I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE PRICE WAS ABOUT AVERAGE. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
