Was busy working all day on a kitchen remodel so had to go in to the Home Depot Soquel store around 6:00 pm. I knew exactly what I needed (a GE demand water softener and a whole house filtration cartridge). The Softener units are stored off the ground up high where you need an employee to get them down. I asked an employee for help. She said she would find someone to help me. Waited around for at least 15 minutes with no help. I asked another employee for help and he said he wasn't qualified to operate a fork lift. He told me to just wait over by the water softeners and someone will eventually come help. Waited another 15 minutes with no help so I asked a third employee for help, this time hearing him call over the loud speaker "plumbing, customer assistance isle 6 for water softeners". Waited 20 minutes longer and nobody came. The store was not busy. Few customers on the floor and no lines at the registers. I spent an hour in the store waiting only to walk away frustrated and with no purchase. Unbelievable. UPDATE: I went back the next day during the morning hours and had a completely different experience. All the employees in the morning were very helpful. It took me 15 minutes total to get my products & check out. I give the night crew an F and the day crew a B. The day crew would have got an A but when I checked out they asked me if I needed help loading the heavy water softener in to my truck. I said yes, but no one ever came out to help me.
Description of Work: This is a split review between going into this Home Depot store at night, and then again during the day. Had I not gone back the next day I would give them an F. That's how bad the service is there in the evening. No services were performed because I couldn't find someone in the store to help me select & purchase the products I needed.

The person we dealt with was Shawn Darling. He was a design consultant and he did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable and knew what we wanted. We gave him the dimensions and he inputted the same on the computer. He put it all on a, software in accordance to the description I gave him. He drew everything pictorially and gave it to the contractor. I liked his services and will use the same in future.
