They came when they said they would. They gave an estimate sooner than expected. They came in and installed and did an excellent job. The salesman gave a lot of information without being pushy. They did an excellent job.

Jerry was very nice and he was polite as well. He was very efficient and good to deal with. He gave a good quote and was very helpful.

I described how it went in services performed. I was amazed that Jerry did not charge us for this service, but I realized that it was a reflection who Jerry is as a business man. He was prompt, did exactly what he said he did and we ended up with our blinds working perfectly. What more could we ask for.

Both my husband and I work, so we ask contractors to come visit us in the evening or on weekends. This was not a problem for H & H Development. The owner, Jerry, visited us on an evening almost right away. When Jerry arrived he came with more Hunter Douglas sample books than a previous contractor, from whom we had just received a bid. While Jerry wasn't as expert as matching colors as the previous contractor, he had many more suggestions to help us in solving our problem: We have a teal carpet in our house that we like. Teal does not have a yellow tinge - i.e., it is not the least bit olive in color - and current house color-schemes favor green with a yellow cast, so there is a lot of merchandise that will not work in our house. Jerry left small samples with us, so we could check the color during the day, as the light changed. (The other contractor did not do or suggest this.) We were very glad - as we changed our selection in the bedroom where we were selecting a vertical blind. We also have teenagers who are not always patient with pull mechanisms - Jerry suggested a tab-solution that has no visible cords, which turned out to be perfect for our needs. (The other contractor did not mention this mechanism.) Within a day, Jerry returned a detailed quote to us, broken down by room and window dimensions, with pull mechanisms called out separately. This bid was lower, by a few hundred dollars, than from the other contractor. We did wind up with different items than we would have ordered from the other contractor. However our final choices some items that were more expensive and some that were less expensive than with the other contractor. The bottom line is that we wound up with selections we liked more and that cost us less. Jerry's installer, Mike, came on an evening about 2 weeks later. The only glitch in professionalism was that Mike left behind all of the old hardware and window coverings sitting in each room. But this was resolved almost immediately when we contacted Jerry. He had Mike return and take the old material away. As mentioned earlier, we also found a small tear in one of the creases of a blind. Jerry contacted Hunter Douglas right away, and this blind was replaced as soon as a new one could be created and delivered - which was yesterday. On the whole, we were very happy with our experience and we would call H & H Development for future work.

Jerry knows his merchandise perfectly. He lets you know about the choices without trying to sell you the most expensive fabric. He measures the areas with care and explains the pluses and minuses of the various types. Most of all, Jerry has a keen eye for color and fabric. We felt most confident with his recommendations. The shades were installed quickly and were spot on. Our general contractor came by the next day and didn't even notice that the shades were there. He even commented on how they exactly matched the paint colors on the trim. We are all thrilled with the way they look and do their job to provide privacy, shading and elegance when necessary but pretty much disappear when they're completely open. We would not hesitate to work with Jerry Hovik again and recommend his company to anyone who wants an expert to help with window coverings. He is simply the best.

His estimate was the lowest; everything was ready on time and installed promptly. I am very happy with the appearnce. Also, I had a problem with one of the pull cords a month later and the technician came over promptly to remedy the problem.

This is the second time we worked with Jerry (the owner of H&H development). The biggest advantage with him is that he comes to your house with all sorts of samples. That makes a huge difference in helping one decide which blinds to go with. E.g. We had decided to use wooden blinds and were going to use Lowe's to get that done. But when Jerry come in, he showed us how the wooden blinds would look like and that was not what we wanted. We eventually ended up with blinds which look so much better in our bedrooms. Jerry patiently answered all our questions and gave us excellent service. He kept us updated about our order with Hunter Douglas and the installation was quick and clean. If I ever need blinds again, I will look no further then H&H development

Jerry Hovik drove to my home, confirmed that the blind was, indeed, Hunter-Douglas, took it down, and offered to ship it to Hunter Douglas where they would re-string it for free, since he sends them so much business. Not only that, but they would ship it back directly to me in 3-4 days. And they did! Jerry's fee for all this: NOTHING. Just kind remarks that he was happy to help.

We spent $900 on that work. He was reasonably priced compared to the other company. He was helpful in determining what to put on the windows and was really prompt. The person that installed the blinds did a good job, so I thought he was very good. The blinds are good and I like them.

Came out and worked with us on what type of window treatments would work best for the different window types we were redoing. Had a good eye and was helpful in assisting us in what to choose from and which windows would be worth adding the extra features. Estimate he gave was about the same as another place, but he gave us much more assistance in figuring out what would work for us. Installation was done in about a week and went very smoothly I was very happy we chose H&H

It was a perfect experience. One of the blinds didn't look quite right, so Jerry arrived promptly after our phone call and agreed that it needed to be corrected. It turned out that the strings were not installed properly to line up with the rest of the window. A week later, our blind was replaced, installed and just right. We will not hesitate to contact H & H Development for our next project.

Jerry came to the house and brought samples of the products he carries. He and I discussed what I was trying to accomplish and the pros and cons of the various lines that he carries. The fact that he offers a lifetime warranty really sold me, along with his great customer service.

Jerry came to my home and brought samples he felt would work with my home--all high-quality name-brand products and he pointed out which ones he had in his own home. I didn't realize there were so many options when it came to window treatments, but Jerry made it a very easy, pain-free process. Jerry recommended the top-down/bottom-up option to me. I liked it, but was unsure so he offered to quote out the blinds with and without that particular option. I chose the types of window treatments I wanted for each window (honeycomb blinds for the front room and 2 bedrooms; honeycomb blackout blinds for the master bedroom; faux wood blinds for the kitchen and vertical blinds for the sliding glass door) and Jerry emailed me a quote the same day! He came back to get the final measurements on all the windows and I chose the colors for each of the window treatments I had picked out. I gave Jerry a check for 30% of the total balance and he told me he would place the order the next day. The next day I received an email from Jerry that he had placed the order and expected to have all the blinds within 10 working days. Like clockwork, I received an email from Jerry that my blinds had all arrived and he was ready to schedule the installation. The installer (Mike) arrived on time and went to work on hanging the blinds immediately. Very efficient and professional, Mike had all the window treatments up in a little over an hour. After ensuring that all the blinds in each window worked properly, he cleaned up and I gave him a check for the balance of my order. The blinds for each window are perfectly mounted and look great. I ended up going with Jerry's suggestion of the top-down/bottom-up option for certain windows and am so glad I did! I also love having blackout blinds in the master bedroom--I can sleep in on the weekends and it's perfectly dark in my bedroom until I feel like opening the blinds. I am very happy with all of the window treatments as well as the results of the installation.

He was on time, helpful, friendly, and conscious of budget angles. Quotes came quickly by email and Jerry was extremely responsive about follow-up questions. I would have loved to use Jerry, but unfortunately opted for another product as I simply liked the design/fabric better. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him for future windows and, based on my interaction, warmly recommend him to other Angie's List members.

Jerry returned my call quickly. He came to my house within a few days. I explained what I wanted. He showed me samples of Hunter-Douglas cell shades. I picked the color I wanted and finalized which sides I wanted the shades to pull up from. His estimate was better than one I had gotten from an on-line store. I placed my order immediately. As promised, his installer called when the shades arrived, which only took about a week. Unfortunately, his installer did not come with the time-frame he had given me and I had to leave. When the installer didn't call again or leave me a message within 24 hours, I let Jerry know. The next day the installer called and rescheduled the appointment. He then came the following day, during the hour time-frame he had given me and installed the shades. It is a bit difficult to rate, because Jerry himself was responsive, punctual and professional, but his installer didn't do an excellent job.

Great! They were so professional, nice, and fast...Very good with communication as well, and then quick to install once custom shutters had been built. Jerry Hovak was great to work with. They had lower prices than all the other estimates we got, and most definitely did such a wonderful job. Very pleased. Would definitely recommend.

Having to go to other stores and look at blinds was difficult. It was hard to tell what would look good in our home. We were very happy when H and H Development actually brought out samples to view in our house. This was convenient for us and that's important. With their experience, they gave us some very good suggestions.

I liked his professionalism and quality of work. I have priced Hunter Douglas shades and blinds with several companies including some from Angie's List. Nothing compared with the price I paid with Jerry. Excellent quality, great price and great service.
