 + -1 moreHe was excellent. I?d recommend him highly to anybody. He was very honest and quick. He gave me a $40 refund for the work that he didn?t do. He itemized everything and gave me a refund; it was amazing. I had received 7 bids and his was the cheapest bid. He was also quick at giving me the bid. He gave me the bid the very next day. He did great work. I have no complaints about him. I?d definitely use him again. I will not use anyone else.
Description of Work: I used Scott Hawes Construction. He converted a living space into a bedroom, three months ago.

 + 0 moreIt went well. Fixing some of their mistakes was annoying but they were willing to come back and do it right.
Description of Work: Remodeled master bath and master closet. They took over the work from another contractor, who abandoned the job after the 1st day of demo and left the house in a mess. Hawes not only took over the job immediately (w/in 2 days), but they also stuck to their original quote for the job and did not take advantage of the situation. Their price was much more reasonable that other contractors who bid the same work. They pretty much stuck to original schedule - they slipped 1 week on a 4 or 5 week quoted time to completion. The quality of the work done was good. Although they did make some mistakes on some of the details they came back and corrected them.

 + 0 moreJob was scheduled and performed accordingly. People on site were punctual, careful and professional the entire time. We had 3 estimates and they were the least expensive. I was very pleased and surprised with the results. I highly recommend this company and I will have them again for my next home project. Company maintained a good communication with client from start to finish and I liked that too.
Description of Work: It was a messy job done by an unprofessional so called contractor hired based on reference. The wall at the dining room was built with a bulge in the center of the drywall and the texture wasn't great either. Hawes Builders professionals had to take the entire drywall away and address the problem: they placed the level to determine where the wall should go, shaved and relocated the wall where it belonged. Then they textured the wall, and painted it. It was more than 8 hours per day of intensive work during 3 days. Sorry if I can't explain with all the technical details but it seemed much easier to look at than to get it done.

 + 3 moreIt was very positive. Scott Hawes was very responsive to all comments, and he checked on the progress of the work daily. His employees were polite, efficient and timely. Any questions or comments I presented were immediately addressed. I am delighted with my new laundry room!!
Description of Work: They remodeled laundry space, 76 x 65. They knocked down the outer walls and also re-framed and replaced siding. They re-laid concrete flooring and dry walled and painted inside and out. They installed cabinets and reinstalled the washer and dryer.
