I heard Price Builders advertised on KPBS radio and after reading the one review on Angie's list I decided to give them a call for an estimate. The person I talked with on the phone was nice and she scheduled the President/CEO of the company to come out and give the estimate of the remodel. The President/CEO of Price Builders Inc. (you can go to their web site for a picture and name) seemed friendly when he introduced himself, however, once he entered the the house he became the rudest, most non-professional, condescending, disrespectful person that I have ever met in my life. He acted like he was doing me a favor, stopping by to look at my house on his way back to his office. The short time he was here, he complained about this not up to code, that not up to code, this is what I am going to do, I can't do anything without the plans of the house, etc., the rudeness just didn't stop. We knew when we bought the house that some things were not up to code, that's why the remodel. He didn't want to hear any of my ideas or thoughts about remodeling the house. Fifty-seven years on this Earth and I have NEVER kicked anyone out of my house, until today. Apparently, the company doesn't need the business. If this is the way he treats his clientele, I truly feel sorry for the people that work for this man

Owner Leo Finkelstein and crew were great to work with. I used them for an extensive condo kitchen remodel (which included moving the sink) and guest bath remodel (which included moving the toilet). These folks are extremely experienced and professional and gujided me expertly through every step of the projects. I picked out the materials and worked with Leo's cabinet finisher for a custom look that I am very pleased with. The kitchen project took a little longer than I anticipated but I think this was because of all the custom work that was involved. I also used Price Builders to install new interior doors and new louvred closet doors. All done expertly and I appreciated their expertise in this project.

. His price was okay. I got a better quote from someone else. He kept in touch very well and he explained himself very well. He is very professional. He knows the construction stuff inside out. If I had not chosen the company with whom I have gone with I would have chosen him. I would consider him in the future.

They job went very smoothly. They gave me ideas that I wouldn't have had, which ended up turning out great. They were very timely and actually finished earlier than they anticipated. It took about 4 months total. They were competent and trustworthy. My three children were young at the time, so the workers were diligent in cleaning up after themselves and keeping the work areas safe. They delivered what they said they would. They were flexible when any changes needed to be made. The job turned out beautifully!

I love my new deck. The roof is supported at each end of course, but in between is a span of over 40 feet with no posts to interfere with the view. I was thrilled with the quality of the work. The workers were skilled, friendly, and courteous. Leo, the owner, stopped by every day to check the work. And they finished on schedule and on budget!

Work was performed on timely manner and within scheduled time frame as was projected; workers were very respectful and cleaned after themselves every day. The team was highly professional within the trade and required skills. Leo personally was on job site, checking for quality of the job, keeping and reporting on progress. All permits were obtained on time and we had no issues with that. During this major renovation – we were able to live in the house with kids. Regarding pricing - my husband and I checked and interviewed several companies for pricing; this company gave better pricing without compromising the quality. On mathematical scale pricing windows, flooring, tiles, plumbing - 20% below competitors. Outstanding qualities of Leo: exceptional work ethics, truthfulness regarding pricing, result of the work, timely delivery, pleasant personality...Highly skilled and knowledgeble professional - with more than 25 years in business, and education In Engineering and Construction.
