Description of Work: Had "window treatments" ordered and in stalled thru Costco. The subcontractor was Three Blind Mice who also installed the blinds. Costco and Three Blind Mice both were excellent. Good communications, prompt delivery and very competent installation.

I am very satisfied with their service. The service depends on the different categories of customer service, you got cashiers, trying to find somebody if you have questions or something on the floor and all variety of people and it boils down on how busy they are.
Description of Work: We bought jewelry from Costco.

They carry a good brand of hearing aids. They are very good and helpful. Consumer reports say that is the place to go. They are less expensive.

Pros: The hearing aid specialist was knowledgeable, patient and cooperative. He took time to thoroughly explain the pluses and minuses of hearing aids. At my request, he also demonstrated a hearing aid different from the one he was recommending. Following the demonstration of the competing one, I decided to buy the one (and more expensive) that he initially recommended. Cons: He recommended a specific hearing aid before our first appointment and before seeing test results of my hearing; the hearing test had been conducted by my HMO. However, his initial recommendation was superior to the less expensive one and despite its higher cost, I chose the one he recommended. Cons: I wish the audiologist had disclosed beforehand the cost of upgrades, e.g. upgrading the remote to a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone, added cost for Bluetooth capability on the upgraded remote to connect to TV, added cost for a vacuum to clean the hearing aid.
Description of Work: I needed to get hearing aids.

They are very helpful and the manager of the department is very helpful and very nice and so is her assistant. You can go back any time for assistance and I can also get my shopping done there. It very handy. I can make an appointment if I think I have something I need checking, so it all works quite good. Its easy shopping and they are very good in assisting you. Their warranties are very good, for instance if you buy a television set the warranty from the manufacturer is one year and Costco give another year if you buy it there, so you have a two year warranty on it. I now have gone to their optometry and their eyeglass ware.
Description of Work: I get my hearing aids from Costco as well as do my shopping there.

Very well, The woman who waited on me initially was most helpful and knowledgeable in helping me select a frame that I liked. She then fitted them to my eyes. She said it would take about 8 days and it did to get them back. I was called by Costco the glasses were ready for pick up. I only waited about 5 minutes to have someone wait on me and adjust the glasses to me. Very satisfied with the experience.
Description of Work: I had Costco fill a eye glasses prescription I recently got from an optometrist with glasses I bought from them.

Husband has been losing his hearing in his left ear for some time. The chemo therapy he was undergoing for lung cancer seemed to advance the hearing loss rapidly. We went to an audiology center on the advice of our insurance company. Our insurance company would give us a $400 deduction at the audiology center and they would further give us a reduction in price. We also went to a hearing aid center, and although they were wonderful; explained the workings of the hearing aid, neither they nor the audiology center had a "sample" to try on. The center pointed out to us that Costco's Jeff was a "dispenser" not an audiologist, but it did not matter because we came in with the RX from our doctor and another audiologist. The center did not perform any hearing tests. So, in spite of Jeff not being an audiologist, she would have to do the same thing as he would - namely, send the RX out to be set up to fit my husband's hearing loss. In the case of the other audiologist, there was some question re: the $400 payment to them. They were under the impression that they could get that allotment transferred to them, and in fact, the secretary came in while we were talking to her and told her there would be no problem. When I got home I checked with insurance company and they said they NEVER have given the money to any company other than the specific audiologist; that they had a contract with them. I called back and repeated what I had been told, but in a call-back, I was told that the price we were quoted, minus the $400 they thought they could recover from the insurance company, was the price they would honor. They said if the insurance would not transfer it to them, they would honor the lower price. My husband and I debated the two companies for several days. We eliminated the audiology center almost immediately because we felt that they did not fit our needs. The final decision to go with Costco was because of the sample hearing aid my husband tried on. It should be noted that that aid was $1400 - basically the same as the audiologist. However, after talking to Jeff the second time, he convinced my husband to try the less expensive aid and so he did not purchase the mock-up of the one he tried on, but a different one. However, his RX was programmed into the "dummy" - and he had a good idea of what the final product would be like. Neither of the other companies made this offer, and had several excuses as to why they couldn't do it. Costco gave him about 8 months supply of batteries. However, a year supply at Costco costs about $10 so it was not even a major consideration. (One more note: I called Costco, Morena Ave. to make an appointment. They never called me back. That is why we went to the Costco in Mission Valley.) He has had the aid for 2 weeks and is very satisfied with it. (California has a built-in law that allows a person to return an aid within 30 days of receiving it.)
Description of Work: After checking out two other companies, we decided to purchase the hearing aid at Costco for several reasons: They are all over the US; Jeff prepared a "dummy" aid for my husband so he could see how it worked; we walked all over the store wearing the aid; it was comparable in price to the other companies.
