Waldo Bowers was extremely helpful to us in working through the different options for flooring, and the pricing they provided was transparent.  The work was done mostly on schedule, but when they couldn't finish by the expected time they called us.  The quality of the finished work was flawless.

This is our second time using Waldo Bowers and we continue to be very happy customers.

Originally planning to go with a more traditional vinyl flooring option, my wife discovered a vinyl tile design with a border strip at their showroom that really grabbed our attention. The sales and installation staff are great, at every step they are willing to offer advice so that you make an informed decision without pressuring you to make what they believe is the right decision.

One of the challenges we faced with this project was the ordering of the vinyl tiles. They aren't a regularly ordered item and the border strips and transition squares took longer to arrive than originally planned. As a result, the initial installation date focused more on demolition than completing the entire project. Since this left us with subflooring in our bathroom for a week, the installers made sure to reset our toilet to minimize the impact. It may have been better to contact us to reschedule the appointment to a date when all the materials would have been present.

It was clear the quality materials used by Waldo Bowers when I compared the cheap builder underlayment to what was installed with this project. I was quite pleased.

Had dealt with the owner before so we expected no surprises. He was right on time to survey for the estimate. The material was in stock and the installation was straight forward. Repair of the sub floor was not unexpected and went off without any issues.
My high expectations were fulfilled by Gary and his excellent, very experienced crew.

The carpet is down.

Their price was reasonable and they did a beautiful job. After cleaning, it looked like a brand new carpet!

I had some repairs that I needed done to the carpet in a rental home of mine and they showed up on time to do the repairs. Did them quickly and left with out telling me how much the repairs were. I left the home for another apt. and when I came back two days later, I noticed that the carpet was loose around the edges of all the rooms they stretched and that they did not replace a missing cap and that they had left carpet scraps and bits everywhere. I called them back the next day to schedule to fix the problems and they said they would call me when they were ready to go out to the rental. I have still never heard back from them and I have never received any type of bill either.

They are very low pressure. They tell you the upside and downside of each product, so you can make up your mind. I was so happy with them that they are coming back to install laminate flooring. The price was average. They even came back to fix a problem with the flooring around our toilet with no questions asked. I would recommend them to others.

I told him I was under a time crunch since we had to move into the house on 11/17. He said the work should take about 8-10 days. No-one showed up until that Friday when they dropped off some materials and left. I got a call saying the worker had stepped on a nail and would be there later. The entire job ended up taking 2 full weeks, while our furniture sat outside on the back porch. No one returned my phone calls about progress and one day we waited for 6 hrs. for the worker to meet us at the house to pick out stain, with no calls. The work could have been done in 1/2 the time if the workers had put in full 8 hr. days. The final straw was not getting the bill for 3 weeks after the job was done. I kept calling and they kept saying it would be sent soon. I really needed it to figure out how much money to budget for bills and Christmas. Never got an apology for all the lateness, lack of response, etc.

We got three estimates. Gut feeling said to go with Waldo Bowers because of their experience... since 1925. Boy, did we make the right decision. Pure professionals! Scheduled in a timely manner. Arrived early with all the materials and equipment. A two day job, with two very expert, experienced and knowledgeable installers. Personable folks and absolute craftsmen. The job was finished early, it looks fantastic, and right on budget. Would call them again in a heartbeat!!!

Bowers carries the large size samples to take home. Bowers is an independent company, not a chain. Gary came to the house to measure the floors on Saturday after finishing his regular day. I asked that the vinyl flooring be coved. The covering was done as requested at no additional cost. Their plumber installed new toilets. The installer and plumber arrived as scheduled, and called to let me know when their work was done. The coving looks great! There were no hidden costs or extras. I highly recommend this company!

The salesperson helpfully provided information as I was choosing the carpeting. All employees seemed knowledgeable and helpful and answered my questions along the way. Modifications to the original contract were agreed upon with no problem. The work was well done and on schedule. The carpet looks great. It was a positive experience.

This company knows hardwood and their refinisher Jason is a meticulous craftsman. He did a beautiful job. Communication was good and he was punctual and followed through on my requests. Price was about in the middle of the various estimates I obtained, but everyone I spoke with who has an older house recommended Waldo Bowers.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID FOR ME. THEY CAME ON TIME AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM AT ALL. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID. I LOVE MY FLOORS.

THEY WERE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. THEY DO A HORRIBLE JOB. THE MEN WHO THEY SENT OUT WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT THE JOB THAT THEY WERE DOING. I HAD TO CALL SOMEONE ELSE TO COME OUT AND FIX THE JOB THAT THEY DID.

I WAS HAPPY WITH THE TOTAL OUTCOME OF THE WORK THAT WAS DONE ON OUR FLOORS. THEY CAME PREPARED TO WORK EVERY DAY AND GET THE JOB DONE ON TIME. I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
