PRO-TECH TV

We were charged $109 when we were originally told it would only be $49 for the service call not including parts. He came out, set up the tv and told us we needed to call Dish and have the remote programmed. I feel that he knew the remote was broken, but did not tell us because he wanted to take our tv. He took our tv and wanted to keep it. He charged us another $49 service call to bring back the tv. The address listed in the phone book on Riviera Drive is a vacant building. I do not feel he is trust worthy, so I wanted to submit a review to keep anyone else from going through what we experienced.

Television picture was shrinking. "San" arrived on time, and explained all my options (fix vs. purchase). He let me observe, and explained each step. He finished the repair and tested for all functions. He finished the job and left the site as clean as it was when he arrived.

Had contacted this company after seeing the info online from Angie's list. After reading a number of reviews on Angie's list for this company, I decided to call them for an estimate. We talked about the job, the costs and the timeframe it would take to complete the job. There was no assurance that I would get the tv fixed and that they would have the parts to fix I was not going to pay a fee just for diagnostics and end up not getting the tv fixed. Especially if I know the problem and was able to tell them this ahead of time to check and see if they can find the part and fix it. Unfortunately, I did not go with this vendor and ended up using another vendor on Angie's list instead.

I really the young Pro-Tech TV guy. I was pretty impressed. I think the price was fair. He came to the home and he was very pleasant. He sat and worked on my computer for quite awhile, about 2 hours. He seemed to know what he was doing. I will call him again.

The $100 diagnostic fee was in addition to the estimated repair and I though it was too expensive. The technician was not very friendly and even mentioned that my tv was obsolete, which comment I thought was really unnecessary and uncalled for. Usually when I purchase a service thru you, the company calls me within a couple of days to schedule. However, after about a week and no response from this vendor. I had to call them...

Called on a Saturday. I was given a late afternoon appointment as the provider had a Memoril Day appointment. He called at noon and asked to come earlier. Arrived about 1:00 PM. Removed old lamp and replaced with new one. Process took about 30 minutes..

On November 8, 2012 I called for service for my TV set. He came over - looked at it - wrote down information - charged me $49 and left me a receipt and said he would contact Samsung regarding parts. He called a day or two later and said he was still waiting to hear from Samsung. I called him about 4-5 days after that and he said he was still waiting to hear. He called me back and said repair would be about $400. I said okay. I have not heard or seen him since. Gee, what a wonderful way to make a quick $49. I will be contacting my credit card company and Angie's List (where I originally got his name) re this transaction! Later I saw a very negative and similar review on this same business on Yelp! I want to alert Angie's List and Yelp! of my experience.

Wonderful. He came out and tried to fix the TV and did not work, came back out several times to fix the problem and he did it. He is very thorough. It turned out to be a fautly party and did not charge me, and recommended me getting a new TV. He called about everything.
