He was really great, listen to all my concerns, worked with me in picking out the trim and worked the color until I was satisfied. The were extremely helpful team that moved my outside item, and put them back as good as new. The were efficient and on time and exact price. I am going to hire them again to work my interior.

I can't say enough good things about Jay's Painting Service! Jay was extremely easy to work with. My home unfortunately needed quite a few boards replaced as they were rotted. I was very impressed with Jay's attention to detail and quality of work. He removed all the external light fixtures as well as any hanging decorative items I had rather than trying to paint around them which I greatly appreciated. I also have a beautiful Japanese maple tree that sits close to the house which I was concerned about but I shouldn't have worried! Jay and his team did a fabulous job being careful around my tree and making sure paint didn't get anywhere it wasn't supposed to. Jay clearly takes pride in his work and wants the home owner to be happy with the outcome. He even adjusted some of the gutter drain pipes that weren't attached to the house anymore as well as painted my security door which now looks like new. Everything looks clean and sharp. The whole process was very easy and now my home looks wonderful!

John and his team were awesome. They showed up on time, were professional, polite, patient with questions and hard working. To start with, John was extremely patient with the time it took me from the first bid (on February 3, 2014) to actually scheduling the work (which was completed April 12-13, 2014). I had to wait due to some work conflicts on my end, and rain that delayed the job further. But John was super nice about it and very understanding. He also scheduled the job on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) so I could be home when the work was being performed. Additionally, I had picked out four potential color combinations and he put up "test patches" of all of them the day he pressure washed the surface, so that I would be happy with the color I ultimately chose, telling me that the chip isn't the same as seeing the color on a larger part of the house. He was right: the color that would have been my first choice looking at the chips was the one I liked least when I saw it on the house. The crew was so patient with my questions about the process and John did everything he could to make sure I was happy, at one point even changing the color of one small area of trim from the accent color to the neutral. He really strives to make sure the customer is happy and it shows from the bid straight through to performance of the job. He noticed my weather stripping was bad and would be problematic for the paint job, so he went to Home Depot for the parts on a moment's notice, replaced it and only charged me the cost of the materials. He also was very attentive to the details, making sure that any areas that needed another coat of paint or touch-ups were taken care of before the job ended. He did a walk-through with me at the end, too. I was so impressed with Jay and his crew. They were a pleasure to work with. The house looks fantastic; you can tell they take pride in their work and are skilled at what they do. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them for future painting jobs.

Jay and his crew were outstanding from the estimate to the job being completed. They were on time, professional and very knowledgable in their field. They were very hard working and detailed in what they did. House looks amazing.

Jay and his team arrived on time each day at approx. 8.00 a.m. The team worked well together, were easy to have around and they communicated amongst themselves at a reasonable volume. This was important because my husband works from home. They were professional, continuously checking in with us on their progress and seeing if we had any questions. We foster rescue dogs and we appreciated how considerate they were of all our pets, both ours and our fosters. They were extremely consciences, always keeping gates closed behind them so our fosters would not run out of the yard. We added a lattice storage wall to the job and it was both an easy and reasonably priced change order. Because of predicted rain, they were prepared to finish the job on the weekend if the rain caused a delay so we could get our home listed ASAP. It did not rain and even with their meticulous attention to detail, they were able to complete the job within the time originally scheduled. We would hire Jay's Painting again and highly recommend him.

The owner, John (who goes by Jay), came out and provided us a competitive quote that was similar to the three other bids we received for this job. However, John mentioned that he was a small business, and that he and two other gentlemen were the painters. Other companies sent over a sales person; I prefer to talk to the individuals doing the actual work. This meant that the actual painters knew exactly what we wanted, and there was little chance for mistakes. Jay and his crew were on-time, courteous and professional during the job. They took their time (three days) and ensured the job was to our satisfaction. We were able to meet in the mornings to go over our expectations and to answer any questions they had. When completed, we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the job and their attention to detail. Jay was willing to go the extra mile to ensure the quality of his work was to our standards. They had painted the front door of our house, but the paint had not fully dried by the time the door was closed, causing a little line at the door jamb which was only noticed when the door was opened. We called Jay to see what could be done, and he came out on his own time and took care of it. He blended this little blemish in so it was completely unnoticeable. We would definitely recommend Jays Painting Service to anyone who inquired. Their timeliness and quality of work is top-notch. You won't be disappointed.

Jay and his coworkers prepped and painted the exterior of a detached garage. They were always on time, were great about explaining what needed to be done and how they were going to do it, and did an excellent painting job.

Jay and his workers did an excellent job on our home. It looks wonderful and the front door that was so weathered we did not expect much to be done with it but Jay worked h****** it and it came out beautiful. They were always on time and very professional plus easy to talk to and work with. . They began and finished the job on the time schedule they gave us. We would definitely recommend him to anyone and will use him again for any painting needs we might have in the future. Jay also made very useful suggestions which helped us in our choices.

Jay showed up on a weekend to make a bid, showed up on the days agreed, and had the entire job satisfactorily completed within about 48 hours of starting and consistently with our neighborhood association's guidelines for contractors. Several neighbors have paid us compliments on his work. We will use Jay again for future paint jobs.

When I called Jay?s Painting Service for an estimate on a late Friday afternoon, he responded within 30 minutes. As we walked around my home, John thoroughly impressed me with the description of the work he could to do, including power washing the eves and trim, caulking, and even minor repairs on the eves as well as the type of cleanup he would perform ? I signed up for his work after our walk around that day. The following Friday, John and his son Hank arrived on time at 8:00 AM. They spent the next three to four hours spreading plastic to catch the debris, and power washing the house trim and eves of the first and second story. Although he had informed me about any streaking (during the previous walk around) that might occur on the rest of the siding, he decided to wash down the rest of the vinyl siding too, so as to remove the dark streaking that had occurred. The following Wednesday at 8:00 AM, John and his crew (Josh and Antwon) were spot on time again - he was even able to show for work one day ahead of schedule. John had matched the house trim color to the gutter color. From that time on, I felt like John and his crew were working on their personal homes, doing the best job possible. John provided direction as he needed and all three performed the intensive work of taping, additional scraping, and prepping for priming, spraying and hand painting and back rolling the eves as well as finishing the trim by hand. Cleanup included sweeping and vacuuming the loose debris around the house. All three men worked well together and enjoyed their work. None of them ever hesitated to periodically ask me how I felt about the work or if there was anything they could do to improve the job. They even asked if my wife was happy with their work! It took two and half days of constant effort by John and his crew. I don?t believe I could have found a better contractor to accomplish the laborious work I needed to have done. At the end of the final day, John repeated what he said during the day of the estimate, that is, if I saw anything wrong with their work, to call and he would be back to honor his work. I sincerely appreciated their pride and desire to do a quality painting job for my myself and my home. The result was a significant improvement in the exterior maintenance and especially the new appearance of my home. Consequently, if I could give John and his crew 10 out of 10 stars for his work, I would do so without hesitation. I highly recommend John and Jay?s Painting Service for their professional work.

I called Jay to paint a condo that I'm converting into a rental. He came the next day to give an estimate and was able to do the job over the weekend. He and his 2 journeymen did a great job. I thought he was efficient, honest and the job was priced right. Will recommend him to friends and family and definitely recommend him here too.

Jay did a great job with our house. He was very responsive to our questions and led us through all the major things he did. He offered many helpful suggestions and saved us from making a couple of mistakes. He also did a great job replacing some rotten siding. His staff were polite and helpful, too. His estimate was considerably lower than another A rated service we had come out, and he stuck to it.

Overall everything was great. They were friendly, courteous, pleasant crew to have around. It was like an old friend coming to see me and paint my house. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs their house painted.

Excellent job! Jay painted all exterior parts of our home even an area so tight between our backyard shed and home (they were able to paint it!), our large patio and all exterior pipes. Jay and crew removed all cables/wires that we have near the roof line and painted underneath them and then re-positioned all cables to look very clean/organized. The paint color that we wanted was on another home and Jay found the right Kelly Moore color match!!! I am SO very Happy with the quality of their work...well worth the price for all that they did! Fantastic...and I highly recommend them!

Unlike some contractors, Jay will not nickel and dime you for minor requests. For example, Jay offered to install new exterior lights on my house if I decided I wanted to purchase and install new lights after the paint job was completed. He returned after completing the paint job to install the lights for me. The installation was not part of the contract's original scope of work; however, he said he would be painting another house in the nearby area and could return to install the lights without charge. He said he wanted to make sure my house looked nice and the way I wanted following the completed paint job. I would highly recommend Jay's Painting Service for anyone looking for a house painter and I will likely use his services again to paint the interior of my home in the near future.

Jay was right on time for our estimate appointment. Asked questions and explained how he was going to do the job, what grade paint he was going to use. and wanted to make sure we knew we were in good hands. He started and finished the job on time. He takes a lot of pride in his work and it showed on the walls, ceilings and cabinets. He made sure that we were fully satisfied with his work and explained to us what paint finish he used where and how to do touch ups down the road if we needed to. We WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM again!!!! Very easy too work with and was confident that he and his journeyman, Josh, would be attentive to the job a hand. His bid was very reasonable and in our budget thank goodness. Thank you Jay and Josh for everything.

Jay , showed up on time and worked hard throughout the day. The rooms were prepared by covering all exposed areas and removing the old molding. He primed the molding painted and installed with perfect joints, and painted the walls. Jay's painting quality and attention to detail was excellent. Jay works fast, is very friendly and will respond to any questions and give knowledgeable answers. My neighbor was impressed with his work and had her house interior walls, doors, and exterior fascia boards painted. There is no reason not to recommend Jay to do a fair and excellent job.
