 + -1 moreI'm very happy I took my vacuum there. The people there are very honest, kind, ethical and professional.
Description of Work: I took my Kirby G-6 vacuum into the shop because all of a sudden it made sparkles from the back and stopped working. I got an estimate of $140.00 to repair it, which I thought was great since I can't afford $400. to $500. to buy a new vacuum at this time ( Not to mention that it wouldn't be a Kirby). My vacuum was ready within a few days. The total cost for repair and labor was $86.00! I felt like I won the lottery and my vacuum is working like new again!

 + -1 moreI took my vacuum into the shop without an appointment. Explained the problem. The repair was made on the spot, took about 15 minutes, and there was no charge. Astonishiong in this day and age. The shop is a family business, and has been in business for 30 years in the same location. I can see why. I would go back for sure. Highly recommended - A++.

 + -1 moreI brought in my Hoover upright vacuum that had been sitting in a closet for about 6 months or more not working. It cost over $300 and it was a great vacuum when it did work. I decided to get it repaired. If the repair cost to much it would be thrown away. I called and spoke to John at Riverside Vacuum and he was very informative over the phone. He advised that he still need to see it to know whats wrong. I traveled about 25 miles to his store. Within 20 minutes he was able to let me know what the problem was, let me know the part was still under warranty, and order the replacement part. Within a week I recieved a call saying that my vacuum was repaired at no charge because it was still under warranty. He also gave me some basic knowledge on shopping for vacuums that I will use in the future. When this vacuum dies I will definetly drive the distance to do business with him.
Description of Work: The chip or the brain of the vacuum needed to be replaced.

Description of Work: On 9/7 my Simplicity Vacuum just stopped. I attempted to find the problem to no avail. Took it 22 miles to Riverside Vacuum & explained the distance we had come and the steps I had taken to find the problem. The technician agreed to look at our vacuum and requested 40 minutes. We returned at the agreed upon time to find our vacuum running smoothly. He was then kind enough to explain a few technical aspects that could save us some headaches in the future. All in all, we are very pleased with the service, professionalism and price. They were also courteous and fast.

 + -1 moreVery satisfied with the service and very happy with the repaired vacuum.
Description of Work: They repaired my fried vacuum cleaner. I couldn't believe that he had a spare motor on hand and that he was willing to have it ready in 30minutes. They offered excellent advise and when I got it home and used it it performed better than any of the other high end vacuum cleaners I own. I was able to observe how he dealt with other customers and from that experience I would bring other vacuum cleaners and be confident that he would be able to repair it but more importantly he would not hesitate to advise me to save my money and purchase a used or new vacuum if the one I had was not worth repairing. You can't ask for better service.
