Scott's Garage Door Services

His name is Scott Fujimoto. He was terrific. Not only did he do what we asked him to do but he was creative and did better than we asked without additional cost. He was prompt and he had very good personal skills. I wish everybody would be like him. He was a terrific provider. We received more than we asked for. He went the extra mile. I don't remember how much we spent, but it wasn't a terrific amount. The garage door is a local brand. When it was built locally, the rubber gaskets around the edge that made contact with the sides of the door and with the floor couldn't be replaced. When in time they became torn, there was no way to fix them. There were no channels. We went online trying to figure out how to fix it. There were a lot of garage doors with channels that were sort of industry models for those gaskets, but this door didn't match any of those. There was no way to slide the gaskets out and replace them with new ones. He found solutions for it so that we could make it weatherproof. In the driving rains that we get in December and January, we were getting water in the garage and he made that stop so we were delighted. He was just a pro at what he did. His price was very fair.

The man came promptly, explained the problem clearly, and gave me some choices on how to fix it. We chose the more expensive option and haven't had a problem.

Huh. When I called Scott in May of 2010 about problems with our door, he told me he was moving out of Los Angeles and couldn't help us. He gave us the number of another company. Interesting that he did a job in October of that year.

He was very good. He said my hinges were nit heavy duty enough for the weight of my door. He did a great job. He was prompt, courteous and efficient. I would recommend them highly. He is very good at explaining what needed to be done and why and going ahead and getting the job done.

I had an old (1930's) garage door that desperately needed to be replaced. I called Scott on a recommendation from a friend. He came right out. He looked at the situation then talked me through a series of options. Once we decided on a plan, he quickly installed a new door and opener. The only issue I might have was that Scott was not helpful in an electrical matter pertaining to getting power to the opener. Other than that, he was quick, efficient and pleasant.

They were very good. I spent about $1700 on that work. They were prompt and did a good job.

The initial job of repairing our existing door went very well. Scott did a great job of reinforcing the door so that it was usable. He fell short on the 2nd part of the job as we never received an estimate to replace the door.

Scott's refused to go to the property and provide an estimate unless I committed in advance to hiring them to do the work. Very unprofessional. I went with Pacific Garage Doors.

The whole job went very smoothly. Scott offered several alternatives none of which included a new door. He said the old one would be fine but would need a water sealer and paint job when the rainy season is over. Changing the very old springs helped a lot but the motor was still struggling and making terrible noises. Scott came back the next day (ahead of schedule) with a helper. It took them about 1 1/2 hours to remove the old motor and install the new one. We were very pleased with the work and now have a very quiet motor that does what we tell it to do. Scott is great to work with. Explains everything. I think the price was quite fair. We would certainly use him again and recommend him highly.

He was terrific. He had to replace a lot of parts but I knew that's going in, things that had gotten off during construction. He came out, gave me an estimate and gave me a time frame. Then, he scheduled the time with me and did the work. He was very neat, very clean and very respectful. He was also on time, right on target with his money and he was just a great guy.

He performed the services promised. He did not try and talk me into replacing unnecessary parts. I am very satisifed with his service and knowledge he provided. He went the extra mile!

Scott was right on time and got right to work. He answered my questions and volunteered further information that was helpful to me. He repaired our garage door opener, which required some delicate adjustments to it. Scott was personable, knowledgeable and diligent. I will call him the next time I need this service or related services and products, and recommend him highly to anyone who needs it.

It was quick, easy with no hassles. Scott showed up on time and did a highly professional job. He ironed out a few quirks in the physical layout of our garage. The new unit works perfectly. The job came in at the estimated cost. Scott is also a very personable guy.

Showed up when he promised, installed door professionally and quickly. Explained operation and helped program remotes and Home-link units in cars. Cleaned up better than when he arrived.

Scott was able to come out the day after I called. He was wonderful and charged a decent price. I can't say enough good things about him and his company!

A garage door spring broke last week (one of a pair of springs on a 2-car garage door that slides into the ceiling area of the garage). The door mechanism then made an awful racket every time it was raised or lowered. Called Scott and after some back and forth questions to get a better understanding of the problem, he provided an estimate over the phone and arranged an appointment to replace both springs the very next day. "Dave", one of his employees, arrived on time and ready to work. He was pleasant to talk to, professional and focused on getting the repairs done correctly. He tested multiple parts of the garage door mechanism and concluded that only the springs needed to be replaced. He made the repairs, lubed all the moving parts and left the work area as clean (or cleaner) than when he started. Elapsed time was about an hour. The door now works smoothly and almost silently. The company also provided a 3 year warranty on the springs and 90 days on any adjustments that might be needed after the fact. Also got discount for citing Angie's List for the referrral.

I scheduled an estimate for installation and Scott arrived on schedule. We walked through the removal/installation process. He told me that there was some shelving in the way of the installation, which would have to be removed; he gave me the option of removing it myself or having his installers remove it - but it would cost more. I opted for removing it myself and it went very well. I also saved a little $$ by removing my existing garage door opener. He wrote up the estimate after we talked; I agreed with the price and we booked a date and time for the installers to show up. On install day (5/14/09), the first installer showed up exactly on time and started work on taking out my existing garage door. Scott then arrived to help with the installation, which surprised me because I thought he'd be off doing his management stuff, but he actually came out and did the work himself, with the other installer. This impressed me because it showed that he cared about how the work was done. The installation took about the expected amount of time - maybe a little less - and was very well done. They spent a lot of time adjusting the roller tracks and making sure that everything ran very smoothly. We had a discussion about installing the keyless entry pad, which I didn't really need, and decided not to put it in. They also put in a little open/close button on the inside near the door so I can close the door as I walk out. This was very nice. And they hooked up my wiring to go inside my house (there was an existing button in the house that opened/closed the garage door; I liked having that feature, so they included it in their installation). After the installation was done, they helped me set up my in-car opener so I wouldn't need a separate opener in my car. And then, they hauled away all the shelving that I had removed, the old garage door opener, and all the little trash that they had from their work. And they swept up the sawdust from their little bit of work that they had to do. All in all, this was a very professional installation.

My garage door would not closed. I call Scott and he walked me through two things to do before it was decided that he should come out. He showed up early which was a good thing. I had something going on and he went right to work and diagnosed the problem and got my garage door to close.

Scott was prompt and he gave me good advice about the door. When I decided I wanted him to do the work he got the door in fairly quickly(about a week and a half). It's an excellent installation, smooth working and well sealed His price was lower than the other estimate I got, although only by a little.
