BOB'S HANDYMAN & REPAIR

They were prompt, pleasant, and clean. They performed very good work. I would recommend their services to anyone. I was very satisfied!

This is the second time we've asked Bob to make some home repairs for us, and, like the first time around (about a year ago), we were very happy with the quality, cost, materials, and cleanliness of the work Bob did. Every aspect of the repairs we asked Bob to make were done very professionally. Bob had to reschedule the initial appointment with us because he was sick, but was able to rescedule a few days later. He was able to complete all of the tasks in about a half day. As had been the case in our earlier experience with Bob, we were impressed with the thoroughness and care he took in preparing for each task, in carrying out the needed repairs, and in cleaning up afterwards. He does excellent, fast, careful work, and has the kind of experience it takes to successfully carry out a wide range of jobs around the house. As an aside, I thinks it's important to note that on this visit, Bob brought along a trainee he had recently hired. This young man is an immigrant, and is just beginning to build a life here, with plans to eventually bring his wife and children here. He is college-educated, and is a skilled electrician. Bob brought him along to help, and to "learn by doing" as he struggles to understand his new country, its' language, and its' ways. My wife and I both felt this was a great opportunity Bob was giving this young man, by working along side an excellent professional in the building trades.

He was late, but he called. It wasn’t a big job, but everyone else seemed like they wanted to charge an arm and a leg. It took him about half an hour to do the job, and he did a good job. He asked me if there was anything else he could do as he was charging me for an hour anyway. He was pretty good overall. His minimum charge was for an hour and a half.

It went very well. He did a very nice job, showed up on time, did what he said he would, his price was reasonable,

Bob was great, we had a lot of misc. items that needed repairs around our restaurant and Bob took care of them for us in a timely fashion. He made great recommendations on how best to handle some of the trickier items and tracked down all the materials he needed. Great to work with, very responsive with a terrific attitude.

Bob returned my first call of inquiry very quickly and continued to call when at first we had to leave a voice mail. In order to see what work was necessary and to provide an estimate Bob scheduled a face-to-face meeting at my home with a couple days of his original call. He arrived exactly on time for the meeting and was very professional from the moment I answered the door. He explained in detail who he was, his business and how he works. He took detailed notes on my to-do list as I showed him around and gave me an estimate of costs and materials he would need to purchase. All materials are reimbursed at Bob's cost with receipts provided. Being concerned that a leak in my kitchen needed to be taken care of asap he scheduled the work within 2 days. I felt very confident that he would do a thorough expert job. I was absolutely right! Today, he arrived exactly at the scheduled time and began working immediately. He worked quickly, efficiently and always with a smile. He was very careful to clean the work area immediately before moving on to the next. When an item for repair on my list required a specialized trade, such as electrician or plumber, he was very helpful in explaining what I should ask for and look for in terms of work. The time to complete and cost estimates were accurate and the work at even an higher quality then was expected. He will be coming back soon again for a couple other items. and has now been permanently added to the top of my phone list. Bob takes great pride in making his customers happy and wants them to become repeat customers. He is exceptional and has been permanently added to the top of my "who to call when..." phone list.

Bob had a hard time finding all the parts for the project. He spend about 2 hours driving around looking. He did not charge us for this time. When he arrived with all the supplies, he immediately got to work. He finished the critical gate first. Since locating parts took so long, he needed to return to finish up. We found a time that worked and he returned and finished up. The gate is a combination of wood and rod iron. He painted the wood to match the rod iron so it looks well. He provided a receipts that listed all the supplies. He charges a flat hourly rate on top of the supplies.

I called Bob as I needed a hole in my attic to be fixed. Due to the position of the hole, it could only be fixed from the outside of the house. Although he could not do it ( due to a fear of heights), Bob returned my call (at 9pm the same day I called) and explained the situation to me. Not only was he very apologetic, he was kind enough to give me a few recommendations to some other people who might be able to help me. Bob was extremely nice and professional. I was very impressed with his attitude and work ethic ( I mean how many people work until 9pm returning calls to someone whom he won't be doing a job for?) I totally understand why he gets such great reviews on Angie's List. Unfortunately he could not help me this time, but I will definitely be using his services in the future!

Bob arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional.. He had come previously to give me an estimate. He said the work would take about two hours, which it did. He worked quickly, but carefully. He was unable to do one of the jobs I needed done, that of replacing a shower mixit handle, and told me to call a plumber since there were so many different kinds of valves and handles. I think he did his job well and I would recommend him to others.

Bob arrived on time, pleasant and professional. He went straight to work, addressing each problem in turn. He provided explanations as necessary. Overall impression: confident, highly competent, hard worker who gets right to the issue at hand. I thought the charge was fair considering $48 was for materials needed for repair work.

I called several of the "A" rated handymen listed on Angie's list. Even though most of them responded, Bob was extremely prompt in returning my call. He even accommodated to MY schedule so we could set up a time for an estimate and start the project immediately. I was very relieved that he was able to squeeze me into his appointment schedule. I just moved, and everything was off the walls making the house look and feel cluttered. He was very kind, and quickly understood my "emergency mode". Showed up 5 minutes late, but even called to tell me about the "delay". He was EXTREMELY quick and efficient and got right to work. This man has a magic wand instead of tools!!! He even took care of fixing my fine antiques which had suffered some cracks after the move. I was very much impressed with him and the way he handles himself professionally. He is super neat, I could not even tell a handyman had come over after he left! Not a spec of dust anywhere!!! He even played "interior decorator" and helped me around the dreaded "my curtains are too long dilemma"!!! I was left with a very much needed sense of relief and "neatness" after he left. I would HIGHLY recommend Bob's Handyman service to anyone. I am VERY picky and particular with my home, and he took care of it like it was his own. He has become my official handyman!

Bob arrived on time and was very professional. I couldn't recommend him more.

Bob was very punctual, presented ways we could save some money on our projects, and was polite and considerate of our home and children.

I called Bob based on his excellent Angie's List ratings and that he was close to my area. He returned my call and clearly explained his pricing policy which is $65 per hour and a minimum of one and a half hours--that comes to a 97.50 minimum. I know Bob is a stickler for promptness and he arrived 5 minutes early. He was very friendly and professional. I took him through my house and showed him about 8 or 9 minor repairs. He got right to work and fixed everything that I wanted fixed in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. He was very helpful in explaining a part I needed to get replaced. Bob works very fast and efficiently.

We spent $400 on that service. He is a very poplar handyman, so scheduling him is a bit challenging, and we would probably need to plan 5 or 6 days ahead. That was a bit inconvenient because we had appliances sitting there waiting there, but it was still much more affordable than having another company do it. He is a really hard worker and he is really friendly. He has a very broad skill set like a handyman should. He is quite poplar in our neighborhood and we know that we are not the only ones in our block that use him. We would definitely recommend him to others.

It was fine and I wll definitley use him again.

On time, reasonable priced but did NOT believe us when we told him an electrical engineer had told us we needed new ballasts and only replaced bulbs. Well... now we have to replace the ballasts at another 1.5 hour minimum & costs. Broke two switch plates that were to be replaced. Told us to call electrician. Fair he could not do the work, but bad to break and leave open.

His quote seemed very reasonable. He was very punctual and very honest. He was very responsive and professional.

He was fabulous and he will hopefully be our regular handyman for the house. He probably works twice as fast as anyone else that I have seen.

Bob is very pleasant, puctual, and just totally different (that means better) than any previous handyman I have ever used. Give Bob an A+

Have a custom front door that I wanted cored and hung. Bob called back 2 days after I left initial message. Left a VERY long voicemail detailing everything about his business. We talked live the next week and arranged a date for him to come and inspect the door. When Bob saw the door, he decided not to do the work. He was afraid if he messed something up on it, he would have to pay to replace the door.

Bob always arrives on time. He is extremely professional, not your typical handyman. He always leaves an itemized receipt with the materials he bought as well as his labor charge. There is never a question as to cost, Bob outlines everything from start to finish. We have used him numerous times within the past couple of years and are always very pleased.

Bob was professional and did a great job. Someone else had tried to fix them (no luck) and he did it efficiently and thoroughly.

Bob showed up on time. He did his work, was very professional and left Wife is very happy with the shower. Awesome! ... enough said.

Bob was punctual, worked quickly and cleanly, patient with my requests, and best of all, was honest. I asked him for a quote on another project, and he said that was outside his scope of work, but could recommend someone else to do the job.
