Merry Maids of Rancho Cucamonga

I used Merry Maids for a total of 10 weeks coming every other week. Their first deep cleaning they did a very good job and charged me $360.00. On their second visit they were due to come at 2:30pm and never showed up until 5:40pm. No one called to let me know that they were running late. Finally, at around 4:00pm I called Shelley Gruber at Merry Maids and she told me that they were running behind but would be here shortly. I told her that this wasn't going to work for me for my house is very dim lighted as it is and now it was almost dark and I don't know how they are going to see to clean. She assured me that they would get my house clean and promised from now on they would be here in the mornings.  I should terminated then them.  

After they left that night I noticed dirt behind my utility main trash can, they never moved it to clean behind it. The edges  and corners of my floors were left dirty. My house is mostly tile and they were suppose to vacuum my floors but instead dust mopped it so needless to say once things settled the dirt was back. Also, it's hard to clean a floor properly when you don't use any water. They like using a spray bottle and mopping  it up. I took a wet paper towel and wiped my floor and it turned black. They did do the glass on my bathrooms shower doors but didn't clean the inside of either shower my master shower had mold starting on the edges. The toilets weren't cleaned good. Also, they tried to leave and without cleaning my office.

I ended up recleaning my whole house. I took pictures of my dirty bucket of water and dirty spots.

The next visit wasn't any better it was Wed, December 23rd. They were supposed to be here in the morning and showed up at 3:30pm and didn't leave until around 6:00pm this threw my whole cooking for Christmas Eve off. To the point I ended up baking my cakes while they were in the other end of the house and being  up until 4:00am to finish things for my family was coming. I was exhausted on Christmas Eve and didn't even enjoy my family.

I called Shelley at Merry Maids and explained my problems she told me not to be so picky well when I pay someone $195.00 to clean my home I expect it to be cleaned and them to be on time. My time is valuable too. If the promise mornings they need to be here sometime in the morning not evening.

January 3rd and 9th wasn't any better  when Shelley sent out a new crew but they were on time. This crew also didn't like to vacuum my tile, and did mop with water but went 50 miles an hour and skipped all kinds of spots and then also walked over the wet floors so you can see footprints everywhere. In the utility bathroom I noticed the lady mopped and then put my carpets back on my wet floor that explains  why when I went to move them the stuck to my floor. On their last cleaning  when they were on the other side of the house my husband decided to take a shower and went into our bedroom and noticed it wasn't cleaned. When I asked them about it they told me that my bedroom door had been closed so they assumed that I didn't want it cleaned. Well, they were the ones that closed it not me. Also when I checked my main bathroom it was dirty the edges of the floors had dirty on them especially by where the bathroom door opens, behind my toilet and under my sink counter.   I told the one lady that I wanted it all redone. She ignored me and folded my carpet part way back and started using a rag to clean I told her "no" that I wanted it all redone. She looked at me spoke in Spanish to the other lady laughed and did as she wanted and never re-cleaned my bathroom.

The one lady had a really bad attitude and if she doesn't want to do her job right should be fired.  Also, when they cleaned my utility room bathroom they left white cleaner all around my faucet and on my alkaline machine, and damaged my cabinet near the bottom I don't know what kind of cleaner they used on it but it ruined my wood. Then in my kitchen they left my counter tops dirty and didn't move anything to clean behind it, they  didn't even clean my kitchen mats, or stove,

 I have a French Double Door 30.5cu ft Stainless Steel Sub Zero Refrigerator with a Double Ice Maker that's about 3 months old (it's expensive) and they must of hit it with a mop or broom handle for now it has a dent in the front. I'm so angry and Shelley never offered any resolution when I addressed this in writing to her. Having them clean my house  more stressful than it's worth.  This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with.

When Shelley at Merry Maids answered me in an email she said that she was sorry for they tried very  hard and as it was they gave me 3 extra hours. Which is bull my time to clean my 3140 sq foot home was 3 hours and they usually left before that time was up. I should charge them for the hours I waited when they showed up 3 hours and 10 minutes late and 3 hours the next time with no courtesy call to explain that they would be late. Then Shelley put if it doesn't work out with my new cleaning people call her and we can work something out. Shelley never came by once to see the poor job they had done. When you have an incompetent boss I guess that's what you get.

We found them through the internet. I used them for about 9 weeks. They broke a few things, and they broke a curtain rod. They tried to hide it from me, and they didn't say anything when they left. I used them a few times after that. Also they got toilet cleaner on the shower glass too. When I confronted them about the curtain, they apologized, but I decided not to stay with them because my house isn't that big, so I can clean it myself. I appreciated their work, but my husband wasn't happy. They always came when they said they would. Sometimes they didn't speak English, so it was hard to communicate with them.

THEIR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM WAS VERY GOOD AND FOLLOWED THROUGH. IT DIDN'T TRICKLE DOWN TO THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CLEANED. THE CLEANING TEAMS DIDN'T ACTUALLY DO WHAT WAS ASKED BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW. I WOULD HAVE TO FOLLOW THE CLEANING TEAM AROUND TO TELL THEM WHAT I WANTED THEM TO DO. AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH THERE IS WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER MAJOR BREAKAGE. THEY BROKE THREE MODEL PIECES THAT WERE IN CASES. WE WOULD FIND THINGS BROKEN, AND NOBODY WOULD LEAVE A REPORT THAT SOMETHING WAS BROKEN. THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH

THEY WORK VERY HARD, AND THE HOUSE USUALLY STAYS CLEAN FOR A COUPLE WEEKS AFTER THEY CLEAN IT. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY CHEERFUL, AND THEY WORK HARD.
