Viking Garage Doors

The experience was okay. The fees were higher than what was originally quoted. So the coupon was just not clearly worded because when they arrived, they indicated that the $75 fee was just for the initial visit and it didn't include some aspects of the fix. So I thought that was a bit of a switch indeed. I wasn't too happy with that. But, the vendor was ultimately able to bring his price back down. So there was a little bit of a confusion about what the coupon included. I think he was able to do everything within $75 coupon.

Super prompt, super professional. Checked my other door as well and made sure everything was working fine. As I was filing this receipt away ... I found the receipt for the same repair for my other door. It was cheaper and was performed in 2012. Not sure if pricing overall has just gone up but I took off a star from pricing for that reason. Either way, I would work with this company again in the future. Thank you for your help.

Our garage has one double and two single doors. The double door had a sagging weather strip, the back single door had a chewed up weatherstrip and the front single door had a damaged panel and rollers from a vehicle. I purchased the $29 deal knowing it would cost more. On the first visit I showed him everything that needed repair. He told me the double door strip didn't need replacing and he could just reattach it to the door. He repaired that, lubricated the door and opener and gave me an estimate for the rest. He gave me 2 options for the damaged panel, replace the one panel or replace the whole door. Even he was surprised how pricy it was to just do one panel so I ended up replacing with a new door. Second visit he came out with another employee and they did the rest quickly and no issues.

I called Vigo, to request a service call. He came out that same day to assess the problem. It was discovered that my old garage door motor was no longer working, so he gave me an estimate for a new belt driven garage door opener. He did not charge me for a service call as there was nothing to do but to replace the garage door opener. He told me he would call to check his inventory, and would be back on Friday if he had one in stock, or at the latest, on Monday. He called on Friday to let me know that he would be there on Monday at 11;30. He was on time both days, and very personable. He replaced the garage door, and offered to link both of my cars to the opener. ( Linking my cars to a garage door opener is always such a hassle for me. I was thrilled when he did it in less than 10 minutes!) I was very happy with the service, and would definitely call him again.

I got a Big Deal for a garage door service call because my door was starting to stick. Vigo contacted me quickly and set up an appointment a few days later. He showed up exactly on time and did a through inspection of the door, and then explained to me in detail what he saw. He lubricated the track so it's rolling smoothly now. Friendly, professional and no up-sell. Vigo is exactly the reason I use Angie's List to find the best and I would highly recommend him for any garage door work you need done.

I called Viking and received a service call within two hours, which was important because I could not get my cars out of the garage. The gentleman from Viking showed up pretty close to the time he specified and reviewed the door situation and presented me with a bid for fixing the primary problem and then also adjusting the rest of the door system. I felt the bid was a little high, but I was in no position to complain. Viking fixed the door quickly and promptly. Then he greatly improved the track for the door, improving the travel path of the door. He adjusted the arm that connects the door to the opener and fine tuned the up and down positions of the door. The service call was less than an hour in total and in the end the price was reasonable.

Everything was fantastic. Called at 8:00am, Vigo said he would be there by 9:30am. He quoted $255 for the replacement, showed up on time and was done within the 30 minute time he quoted.

Arrived on time as promised and worked very quickly. Extremely professional and honest. Received three quotes prior to calling Vigo and I wish I just called him first. His pricing is very fair and we were impressed with the quality of his work. Took the extra time to make sure we understood how to use the new equipment and answered all of our questions. Very thorough and was nice enough to program one of our vehicles' garage door openers before he left.

I purchased the $29 service special from Angie's List. He showed up at the promised time. He pointed out that the opener is known for problems that I was having, but for the age of the opener it was not worth putting in any money into it. He made adjustments to the stops and sensors and lubed the squeaks in the door. The door has been working fine.

Installation went VERY smooth. Vigo knows his business is VERY HONEST and experienced. He explained how the opener works and made sure all worked perfectly. I can highly recommend him if you ever need garage door work.

Good service. I bought the $29 coupon and it covered the entire cost. All they had to do was put one wheel back on the track. I had a little trouble making contact with them. They did not respond to a couple of emails, so i called and left a message and they got right back to me.

Vigo was professional, called promptly and arrived right on time. He correctly diagnosed the problem & replaced the sensors in minutes and had the door functioning properly. After he left when I attempted to program a remote I accidentally disengaged the garage opener controls. Not wanting to mess with the door & controls I called Vigo the next day, a Friday, & he called back within a few hours & walked me thru the process to get it working smoothly again. I really appreciated this & his professionalism. I would highly recommend him as well as use him again when we need to.

Fantastic! Arrival was prompt, the tech was able to diagnose the issue with relative ease (it was a bad mother board). He was polite, personable and didn't make me feel like I was a child when he spoke to me about the problem. He also reset our door so it would have a softer close and thus would be easier on the machine overall. I would recommend him again and will use him when we redo our garage doors at our new house in a few months.

There price was much better than other estimates I got and everything was excellent. The salesman and the installers were all very good. After they installed the garage door they spent about 30 minutes going over information with me and did not seem to rush through this, told me to let them know if I had any questions. My experience was very good overall.

Viking garage door rep was helpful, and clear. He did not make any attempt to sell me any services I didn't need. He adjusted my garage door, which was very loud, under the cost of the coupon deal, and not a penny more. I have already recommended their services to my family and friends. Excellent experience.

It was a door spring that busted and was to small to begin with based on the weight of the door. So they ordered a new spring to support the wight of the all wood door and came out and installed the next day.
