Sales staff at the floor store was very knowledgeable, responsive, and provided helpful information. The floor store got estimates turned around same day, while other providers seemed to take weeks. Installers were punctual, polite, and the work was solid.

In the end everything turned out. I liked that they were able to do everything-the carpet, floor and stone installation. The price was right, but we had to have them come back several times. I might use them in the future, but it would depend on the project.

I used them for some floor work in my house. They did good work. They did the floors in my kitchen, family room and master bedroom. I have had floors done before by other people in other areas and these people were faster, quicker, more accurate and overall less expensive. I got the Floor Store because a friend of mine had some work done and I went looking, and then I went to three or four different people. They had the product I needed and the product was on sale, so that helped. They had a good crew and they did the floors. That was in April of last year. I would give them an 'A'. The job cost about five to five and a half per square foot. That includes base board, floor padding, removing the old stuff and making sure it was level and balanced. The installed price was approximately five fifty per square foot. I had Empire come in and tell me what they could do. What they were trying to sell me wasn't worth ninety cents a square foot. However we went with Floor Store because we wanted to deal with people using legal employees. I got up, had my cup of coffee and they were there. They said they would be there at seven thirty and they were there at seven twenty nine. They were very capable and competent. They explained what they were doing, why they were doing it and how. I had no problem with them. I worked in the trades and I was looking at them from a professional angle as to whether I would have them work for me on a project and yes, I would.

They were very prompt. My husband is a carpenter and he had to be satisfied and he was very satisfied. I would use them again if I have the money.

They were okay. They were not so outstanding. They delivered and the installation was fine. I do not have any complaints. It's just that dealing with sales men that I did not like. They were not worst than anybody else. The sales men made an error and he made good on it. I really liked the guy who came in and did the installation. He was the contractor. The Floor Stores does not employ installers they say. The people they sent around, I thought were really good. I was happy with Terry Cronquist who came in. What I liked about him was that he was deliberate and careful. A lot of times when people come in they were in 100 miles an hour and that just does not give me confidence. Terry made sure it was done right.

They are doing a great job. My husband is a retired carpenter, so he is somewhat picky. The floors were first put down in our family room. The gentleman did such a great job, that he asked them to come back to install more wood flooring.

I was doing a complete remodel of my home, down to studs and subfloor. Needed to find new carpet for my upstairs and laminate flooring for one room downstairs. Store had a special sale and went to check it out. Sales people where great. I do not remember her name but she explained all the differences between different carpets and laminate flooring. I made my decisions and we arrange for installation. On the initial purchase order it clearly stated that laminate was to be completed first and that carpet installation would follow about 7-10 days later. I was contacted by installation dept. manager and we confirmed order with laminate to be installed first in the downstairs room and then carpet to follow when I am ready in approx 7-10 days. I make arrangements for installation crew to enter while I am at work. I receive very disturbing phone call from installation manager around 3pm on installation day informing me that my carpet is almost finished. I ask him to repeat what he just said because it sounded like he said carpet was done. He confirms that his crew is wrapping up carpet installation. I ask him why they are doing carpet now it was not to be done for at least a week. His answer is "that is what I told him to do." I am extremely upset and at work so I told him I will come by the store when I get off work to work this out. When I get to store of course he is not there even though he said he would be there till closing. I speak to my sales person and she produces original invoice that states in bold writting "CARPET FIRST, THEN LAMINATE." She is very apologetic and doesnt know why they would do that. I explain to her that this is a giant problem because the upstairs was not ready for carpet to be installed. For one none of the doors had been hung, none of the baseboard was installed and the tile man was still working in both bathrooms and one hall way. None of this seem to stop the installation crew. It was obvious that the upstairs was not ready for carpet. However the downstairs had been completely swept and the room that I thought would have had laminate installed in it was complete empty. I went around and around with the installaton manager and he would not own his mistake. His mistake caused my entire remodel to grind to a halt. My contractor could not properly install doors with carpet already in. The tile contractor had to move his saw to my backyard which meant for each cut he had to go downstairs and outside. This was going to add days to job and mean I was going to have to pay more. It take almost 2 weeks to get them back out to remove carpet. I informed them that they where going to be responsible for all my additional construction cost since they made mistake. Store manager made decision to remove carpet and to reinstall when upstairs was ready. Now comes the good part. Laminate floor crew comes out and installs flooring. I return home the following day to check their work and I notice one of my doors open. As I look around my home I notice all my tools are missing. Every power tool, tool belt, hand tools, everything. Total dollar value of stolen tools $3000-4000. I contact Floor store and want the name of each person that was in my home so I can provide to police. Floor store reassures me that it could not have been one of their people they are all long time employees and very trustworthly. Manager tells me it was probably one of my other contractors. I inform manager that contractor is my brother inlaw and that every individual that has worked in my home other than his crew was a friend. Now I notice that newly installed laminate flooring has a definate slope in one area. I was told by Floor store that area would be leveled prior to flooring installation. Well it was not and now when I call they deny that they ever said that. I make arrangements for them to send out a crew to remove area that has problem so I can fix and they can reinstall. Appointment is set for 1pm and I have my people standing by to repair once they remove floor. They don't show up and I am told when I call store that they are on their way. At 3:30pm they arrive and cannot remove area that has problem without removing the entire floor. I make decision to leave it so my crew can finish working in that room. My job is finally done and I start vacuuming all the carpets. I notice something strange that each time I run the vacuum over the carpet I get individual threads of carpet that stick up about 1/2 and inch above the rest of the carpet. I contact store with great delay finally get the installation manager out some 5 weeks after my initial phone call about problem. Mind you my home is less than 1 mile from store. He states never seen such a thing and will contact manufacturer. Now 2 months have gone by and I finally get installation manager's answer, "I will come out with some swissors and cut each piece off". I decided to refuse his offer and take care of it myself. All in all a horrible experience. Their pricing was good but their poor performance in the installation dept. caused to many headaches and stress and far outweighed any fiscal savings.

I was satisfied with their work. The price they quoted was for both floors. That was the best estimate that I got. It was less than half of my highest estimate. They were very straightforward. The two guys that they sent out to do the work were very competent. They worked diligently and they actually worked until 8.30 at night to get the job done. I was happy with the price and the actual work. In addition to putting in the floor, they put in new wooden baseboards. They are fine but they are not fine carpentry work.

THE STAFF IN THE STORE WAS HELPFUL, AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. SINCE WE HADN'T EVER PURCHASED CARPET OR FLOORING OF ANY TYPE BEFORE, THEY WERE QUITE HELPFUL IN ASSISTING US FIND WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. THEY MADE SUGGESTIONS THAT, ALTHOUGH WE DIDN'T TAKE, HELPED US TO MAKE SOME DECISIONS. THE INSTALLERS THAT CAME TO THE HOUSE TO PERFORM THE WORK WERE PROFESSIONAL, WORKED QUICKLY, AND DID A CLEAN JOB.

I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT THE COMPANY IS LOCAL. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN USED TO GOING TO BIG COMPANIES FOR MY MATERIALS WHEN DOING A JOB. I NEVER GO TO SMALL BUSINESSES. I GO TO HOME DEPOT OR LOWE'S. WHAT I LIKE MOST WAS THE HANDS-ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS IN and OUT WITH NO PROBLEMS.
