I purchased a Groupon for two one-hour housecleaning visits. I made an appointment for the first one, and received calls from the person scheduled to clean my house to re-schedule - car broken, car not back from shop and had to take someone to school. On arrival, there was just one person and the coupon said there would be two. The cleaner said she would stay longer to make up for it. I was asked what I wanted done. I wasn't prepared to answer because I saw a list on their web site saying what their standard services were. The cleaning was good but after reviewing the list, I felt like I needed to be more specific for the second cleaning.. The person asked me to inspect their work before they left. I noticed the master bath faucet didn't looked clean. The worker took a dirty looking wet cloth out of her backpack and did make it look clean. The work was done in about 1-1/2 hours and I didn't know if I could ask her to do more work to complete two hours so I didn't ask. The second appointment only had one re-schedule by the person scheduled to clean my house. She said the company had scheduled her for the 9am slot I booked online but she's not available that early so we made the appointment for an afternoon. There were 2 people this time. I asked for that because I wanted the work to be done in one hour. It was warm-to-hot outside and they came in looking sweaty and tired so I offered them something to drink. Then while they were drinking, I started giving a list of things from their company's web site that I wanted done, and they said they'd do as much as they could in their allotted time. While the young man was cleaning a floor outside of the second bedroom where I was working, I opened the door and saw him on his hands and knees with a wash cloth size towel. I asked if he was cleaning the whole floor by hand and he said no, just some wet spots. They stayed a total of one hour and ten minutes, but didn't have time to change sheets or make the master bedroom bed. After they left, I inspected the work, and it was fair-to-good. It didn't appear that the kitchen counter was wiped down for example.
