After two burglaries, I consulted with Glenview Key and Lock re new locks for all (new) doors to my cottage. I was given a variety of lock choices with clear explanations of each, and with no pressure. After placing my order, the locks arrived within the estimated time frame. Replacing al doors and locks required logistical coordination between the carpenter, the locksmith and me. Glenview Key and Lock worked to establish a convenient time for all and the locksmith arrived punctually. The work was done as planned. When one glitch occurred with one lock, the response was fast and again punctual; I called to explain the problem, a time that was both very soon and convenient for me was scheduled, and the locksmith fixed it at no extra cost. More than a year later, when I experienced some difficulty with one lock due to my own ignorance about lubricating the locks that are exposed to weather, an appointment was again readily and conveniently scheduled and the locksmith again arrived punctually; again, he fixed it at no extra cost and lubricated all the locks whether they seemed to need it or not. In addition to selling me the locks and installing them, the personnel took every opportunity to teach me what might be useful to me, both in terms of security and of lock maintenance. The rep. at the store took considerable time assessing my situation when initially making recommendations and offered many additional suggestions regarding home security in addition to those concerning locks. The locksmith also was educational when lubricating the locks he had previously installed. Years before, I went to Glenview Key and Lock for help because I had locked an old wardrobe cabinet that didn't have a key. I expected to have to pay a locksmith to come out to the cottage, Instead, they asked about it and decided that a kind of skeleton key might work. They suggested I try that, sold me the key to try with the option to return if it didn't work. It did work.
