We have them on a regular basis. Some of the workers are very good and some could do better. If they could be more precise on their time it would be nice.

We used Merry Maids for two years. Oh did I say Merry MAIDS? They should be called MERRY THIEVES! On their last visit, they took all my good jewelry!!! Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry! To make matters worse, I was home recovering from major surgery, so not only did they help themselves to my jewelry, they did it right in front of me! They did not have a key to my house- we were always home when they came to clean. We were home and I KNOW they did it!
Of course they will not admit to it and consequently would not bring it back. Can you imagine the NERVE? We were duped into trusting them.
They came to our house once a month and did a nice job at first, progressively getting more sloppy and missing areas that should have been cleaned as time went by. It seemed they were more ruled by the clock and getting out of our house in two hours than doing the job. Well as it turns out, their REAL job was finding my jewelry and stealing it! I guess that's the best way to get rid of a client- steal their jewelry!
So it doesn't really matter if they did a good job or not. WE TRUSTED THEM! One should not have to follow a cleaning person and stand next to the cleaning team when they come over to clean and scrutinize their every move. I hire them to do a job of CLEANING my house, NOT CLEANING ME OUT!

"In our system, Member goes by another last name. We did service this couple for two years, with the same team captain, as per her request, every time without incident. Both of the employees in question have been with us for over 10 years. Maria Eichwald, Franchise Owner, did talk to the husband over the phone, on 10/27/12, seventeen days after the date of the cleaning. Mrs. Eichwald also followed up with Member on 11/1/12 to replace a charger for an iphone that we had damaged. Member had requested that we replace the charger cord with a more expensive unit. She was told that we would only replace what we damaged. At that time, Mrs. Eichwald stated that if anything was missing, the customer must file a police report, which they said they would do. Apparently they failed to file a report. In cases like this, if they had filed a police report, we would have talked to the police and our employees would have been questioned. When asked if they had any pictures of the jewelry, they responded that they did not have any pictures. Most women have wedding pictures with their wedding ring. Member was very uncooperative for us to investigate and has now waited three months to make this accusation without any proof that any of the jewelry ever existed. In the past, customers have misplaced items or we have moved items within the in the course of cleaning. After investigating with our customer and our employees we have found the items in question. We were not given the chance to investigate. We are surprised that it has come to this, however, we did try to rectify the situation with Member to no avail. In the future, Angie's List may want to investigate accusations before their customers are allowed to post these types of statements."

Merry Maids did a great job. The ladies were sweet but their price was very high for one hour. I think it's with the company and not the ladies who came out to do the cleaning. They were nice but I was not satisfied with their work.

"We are very confused by the F rating. In her statement, Member said we "did a great job" in the last paragraph we did a poor job. In addition, Member paid $225 not $90. Member's home is in the Santa Monica Territory. We primarily service the San Fernando Valley and North of Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. We normally would not have serviced her home, however Member practically begged us to service her address because of her dissatisfaction with the Santa Monica Office (they service her area). We had our quality supervisor check the work and Member was very satisfied with their job and even called the office the repeat her satisfaction to our staff. Since, according to Member at the time of service, she was extemely happy with our work, we will assume that the job was done to her satisfaction at a reasonable price."

The experience was good. I thought there might be problems when they showed up without a vacuum. They explained that theirs was broken, but that was the only hitch. They worked solidly for several hours and cleaned the place well. They asked if I wanted them to do anything further before they left. Very pleasant women.

Having been sick for a week, and still recuperating, I needed someone to do the heavy cleaning for me. Ana and Fabian were quick, efficient and thorough, even though they had to work around my knickknacks, and disorganization. It's too pricey for me to make it a regular thing, but I will probably use them occasionally.

I have been using Merry Maids house cleaning service for the past several years. I am never disappointed with how they clean my home. They always do a terrific job, my house is clean and smells wonderful. I am on a bi-weekly schedule, but they are very flexible if I need to change my cleaning day. The employees are always pleasant and professional. I like that they are insured/bonded. A few years ago they broke an item and promptly replaced it. They brought the problem to my attention, I didn't have to find it myself. I am very happy with Merry Maids.

We were very pleased with our experience with Merry Maids. We had just purchased a new home and the previous owners left the place very dirty. Three house cleaners arrived on time and got right to work. When they left, the house felt like new. They were even able to get rid of some difficult rust stains in the shower. We found the price to be very reasonable for the services rendered. We will use them again.

The crew that came out was very good but I didn?t like their franchisee. The more you use Merry Maids, the cheaper it gets. If you use them every week, then it?s cheaper than every two weeks or every other week. We had to go away and so we weren?t here for one week. So we had to postpone it and the owner charged us as if it was a first time call which is more expensive than the others. He said that we canceled and we kept telling him that we didn?t cancel it. We couldn?t use the services since we were away and we didn?t like what he was saying. The girls that cleaned did a good job but we wouldn?t use their services in the future.

They were on time. I was able to select a maximum time to complete the job so as to control the cost. My only complaint was a missed soap dish in one bathroom. Also, one maid took a cell phone call for about ten minutes. I reminded them of the remaining time with thirty minutes left, and they completed the job.

Very pleasant 2-person crew, asking up-front upon starting job what, in particular, I might wish to be sure they accomplished. With particular short notice (I had asked on Friday morning for cleaning on the next day, Saturday), everything worked out very well. I am being rather picky giving a "B" on quality only because there was one small thing I had mentioned to them that was overlooked but, frankly, they did so much in the two hours allotted that I think they are better than just "good".

They have been terrific. They give us great service. They are very punctual ant they are accommodating when we need to made a change in the schedule. They always call the day before to assure that we or a representative will be here to admit them. They typically send two or three people, and they are always people who have been here before and with whom we are comfortable. We have been very happy and will certainly continue to use them.

I liked them very much and I thought they did a good job but I also thought they were a little over priced. I thought they were very professional, did a good job in the time they had allotted. I don't think I would use them in future only because of the price.

Merry Maids was professional and prompt. I called on Tuesday and got an appointment for that Friday. They cleaned a three bedroom, two bath house in three hours (two person team). The women were polite and asked me to explain exactly what I wanted done and they did exactly that. For example, my major concern was my bedroom and adjoining bath, as well as dusting the entire house. They did a thorough and excellent job with that. I told them my daughter's room was of lessor concern, but I did want it vacuumed and they did exactly that. I also told them I had to leave my house by 5:00 p.m., and they finished up exactly at 4:55. They did a better than expected job on the kitchen. I will add that my house was reasonably clean to start with, excepting my bath tub; no extreme deep cleaning was required.

For years, I have used cleaning services because I can't ever seem to find one reliable individual. My other service wasn't available once I moved to the Valley, and I have been looking for a good service. In order to get this company to give you an estimate, they need to do a thorough cleaning first. I agreed and paid the $85/an hour fee - assuming I could then go to a fixed bi-weekly schedule. I feel this was a bait and switch. I got the cleaning, enjoyed the crew, and wanted to schedule service. The hurdle was that I had to get an official 'estimate' from their estimator. This person must have the busiest schedule on earth, because he could never make it. Even when I left work early to meet him, he didn't show, claiming I had scheduled for the middle of the afternoon -- which I wouldn't because I work. So of course all I have was one really expensive cleaning and no regular people -- but without this estimator, I can't use this service.

They did a decent job, but not for $380.00! For the 4 hours, they spent cleaning. I also had to point out things to them, that they missed. It's the first and last time, I would use Merry Maids...

THIS COMPANY WAS VERY GOOD. THEY SENT OUT TWO MEMBERS OF THEIR STAFF WHO WERE PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THEY DID AN ABSOLUTELY THOROUGH JOB. THEY WERE WILLING TO DO ADDITIONAL CLEANING AS REQUESTED AND DID NOT CHARGE ANY ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR THEIR WORK.

WE HAVE BEEN QUITE SATISFIED. ORIGINALLY ONE PERSON CAME TO LOOK AT OUR HOUSE, AND TO EVALUATE HOW OFTEN WE WOULD NEED CLEANING (ONLY 2 OF US). WE HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS.

I'M VERY SATISFIED. THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB. IF THEY BREAK SOMETHING, THEY ARE JOHNNY ON THE SPOT TO SAY THAT THEY WILL FIX IT AT THEIR COST. IF THEIR MAID SET OFF OUR ALARM BY MISTAKE, THEY WILL PAY IF WE HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE THE POLICE CAME OVER TOO MANY TIMES. THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

THEY WERE GOOD, BUT THEY WERE SLOW. EVERYTHING WAS REALLY CLEAN. THEY CLEANED DOUBLE WINDOW PANES, THEY CLEANED INSIDE AND OUT. THEY DID A LOT OF WORK AND I WOULD HAVE CHARGED A LOT MORE.

MERRY MAID OFFERS GREAT WINDOW CLEANING DEALS. I SAW A COUPON IN MY SUNDAY NEWSPAPER AND CALLED. THEY WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS AND DID A GREAT JOB TOO. I'LL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN.
