This was my first major construction project, and I think it went great! Roger had great ideas from the start, such as how to add a heater/exhaust blower for the otherwise unheated space, and installing a bench in the shower. He redid the design a couple of times as my ideas changed, without complaint, and when the inspectors came back with unanticipated changes he really worked with me to keep the budget under control. He and his team were always polite, punctual, and left things as clean as possible (under the circumstances!) They even did things like going out of their way to put tarps on things that had gotten moved into the yard, and never once complained. When minor hiccups and miscommunications happened, Roger took it all in stride, realizing that these things were bound to happen with such an extensive project. More importantly, he always changed things to my request, even if it meant an inconvenience to him. The finished bathroom and bedroom are beautiful and such a pleasure to use.

My wife and I chose Mt Tam Construction to remodel our master bathroom and we are extremely satisfied. Roger and his employees (Tino and Oscar) went above and beyond making sure our bathroom exceeded our expectations in every way. From the initial set up to final paint stroke Mt Tam construction was professional/ helpful and truly experts in their field. The Final result is a Master bath we are truly proud to have. I recommend Mt Tam construction to anyone looking for great results and great people at a fair price.

Roger and his team did a wonderful job. The work was done with great quality and attention to detail - installation of new tile, vanity, backsplash, shower valve, shower enclosure, shower wall, shower door, and new doors throughout the house. Painting was done to match the existing paint throughout the home, looks beautiful. Roger met with me initially to discuss what I wanted and got back to me quickly with a quote that contained everything we discussed. The work was completed quickly and Roger texted me frequently so I knew how things were going while I was at work. The final price was consistent with what was initially quoted. I will definitely use Mt Tam Construction for my next home project.

Roger was professional, knowledgeable and responsive. His team (Tino and Oscar) performed great work, showed up on time, and cleaned up after work every day. I absolutely loved the end result and will likely use them for my master bathroom remodel.

Roger and his crew (Tino and Oscar) remodeled a master bathroom and installed some kitchen upgrades. The crew was always punctual and courteous. Roger was very personable and responsive so we felt comfortable working with him. All work was completed in a timely fashion and on schedule. This included fixing a few odds and ends such as repairing some stone trim around the pool. Everything was hauled away and left in order. Currently everything is working smoothly, the bathroom looks great, and we are finally enjoying a functional shower in the master bedroom! There have been a couple of simple, minor issues to follow up on and Roger has continued to be very responsive, and we appreciate that.

Roger is a delightful man and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He is very responsive and fair and I highly recommend him. I am thrilled with the results. He is still finishing up a few things here and there but I am certain everything will go as well as the rest of the project has so far.

It went fine. There were no additional charges. I haven't used them before. They got here on time and worked pretty quickly. They were done in two hours. We didn't have any issues since the work was done. It has been fine. They were quick and they seemed professional.

On time. Very courteous and friendly. They did a great job of cleaning and repairing the kitchen grout. They cleaned up afterwards. The countertop now looks much better.

I hired Mt. Tam Construction in January 2014 to update my upstairs bathroom which was very small and outdated. Roger came up with a good design that would expand the bathroom without altering the existing configuration of windows on the second floor. I signed the contract on January 24th and they began work on February 10th. They totally gutted the old bathroom and gave me a new, larger and much improved bathroom with amentities such as heating and ventilation which were missing in the old bathroom. The new bathroom was ready to use by mid March. My overall impression was that, while not inexpensive, their work is high quality, they use excellent materials and I always found Roger to be very responsive to my questions. His suggestions on choices for the vanity, toilet, paint color, etc. were very helpful as well. I give Mt. Tam Construction high marks on this project.

We did not choose them but they were seemingly good and cool. They are a little bit pricey but the gentleman who came to see us was very courteous. He is very professional. It was more than we were looking for but it was a pretty interaction. I didn't get the sense that he was trying to sell me on anything which is very nice.

Roger has since made what I believe to be a sincere apology and even offered to do some work for free for my troubles (which I have declined, but I appreciate the offer). I have upgraded my rating because my only complaint about Mt. Tam Construction was the lack of a courteous response to my work requests. I have received now received a courteous response and appreciate that.

Tino, with assistants Oscar and Omar started working on a Friday. They covered our carpets and about 20 carpeted stairs with protective plastic. They deconstructed the old materials, hauled it all away and prepared the floor for the radiant heating and thermostat. The tile, vanities, granite, new tiled shower and toilet were installed with care over the next week and a half. Although our 2 cats were not thrilled with this process, we didn't mind that four of us (including a house guest) has to share one bathroom. The remodel went smoothly and pleasantly. We are extremely happy with Mt. Tam Construction.

The project was done right before the holdays making our deadline especially firm. There was not one single delay and they completed each bathroom on the exact day they said they would. Not only was the quality of their finish work excellent, they helped us solve some challenging structural issues and figured out how to add square footage to our master shower. They transformed our circa 1961 bathrooms into five-star showplaces. We would highly recommend Mt. Tam Construction for any bathroom remodel.

My home was recently damaged by fire and I contacted Roger to arrange for an estimate. He understood my need to get the work done as soon as possible (I had been displaced from my home and would not be able to move back in until the work was done) and explained that he had contract work lined up for the next 5 months thus could not handle the job. I informed him that I was having difficulty finding a reputable contractor and asked that he consider me if anything arose. He agreed. When it looked as if a project was going to get delayed (due to a delay in escrow), he called me to let me know that something might possibly open up and reminded me that, to avoid delays, that I should act in my own best interest and continue to look for contractors. His schedule did not open up as I had hoped (escrow closed on time so he was going to start work as scheduled) but I greatly appreciated his professionalism, ease of availability (he almost always answered the phone or called back in a timely manner), and his interest in me doing what was right FOR ME. I am currently working with another contractor to get my home repaired but would consider Mt. Tam Construction for future projects. Thank you Roger!

We are going to use them. They have been really good. They have been going back and forth while we have been collecting the estimates. They are very thorough and I am very happy with them. They are absolutely fabulous. My husband is an engineer and project manager and he said that the proposal given by the company is fabulous. They have updated and come back with the changes we have made before we go into the work. We didn’t spend any money for the estimate. They were fast and did it immediately. They haven’t started the work yet. Every detail has been given out by them and there is nothing left to our surprise. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

We HIGHLY recommend Mt. Tam Construction! Roger and his team are professional, courteous, punctual, extremely neat and have a great sense of humor (much needed on occasion thanks to my changing of mind on a couple of occasions!)! Because Roger has done multiple remodels in his career he has terrific ideas - in fact we decided to work with JUST him, thereby eliminating an interior designer and their cost, which we put into our master bedroom instead! Roger has an extremely capable team and we were blown away by our shower travertine job - it is stunning and absolutely perfect. I can't speak highly enough of this company and we are going to use them again for sure!

The workers at Mt. Tam do a really good job. They are professional, punctual, and the quality of their work is great. I plan on continuing with them in the future.
