Henry was very responsive to my Home Advisor inquiry calling me within minutes. We dialoged then agreed for him to come to the home to repair the wooden shutters and assess painting them. He fit us in his schedule the Sat that same week. He arrived on time and was professional in demeanor and dressed casually (it was hot) in a polo shirt/shorts boat shoes. He parked in our driveway which blocked us so we had to ask him to please move his car - this is not professional to me. He charged the agreed upon price of $250 to repair 2 shutters; one that was loose but together and a second in which the frame had separated and was on the floor. He worked solo so I helped him by holding the shutters while he unscrewed them from the frame attached to the wall. The bulk of his time was spent carefully putting each louver back into its place in the frame while keeping the frame tight so they wouldn't fall back out. Once back he used one or two long wood screws to re-attach the vertical frame to the lower frame. The whole process took 1 hour. The cost seems high to me - attorney rates at $250/hour. Also he estimated it would be too expensive to sand/paint them so recommended we try the magic eraser by Mr Clean... although I'm doubting this will "erase" 20 years of sun exposure. Overall he did good work (time will tell) but expensive and a few un-professional aspects.

I had barely entered my request for service when Henry called me. He was thoroughly professional and gave me good advice on what repairs would be needed and what he could provide. Chris, the technician who arrived on schedule and with an advance call, came thoroughly prepared and solved unanticipated problems as best could be done with the age and condition of the installation. I would recommend this provider for any needed shutter repairs.

Henry called back within minutes of the request. He showed up about an hour and half later and fixed the problem. Since the problem was so minor, he charged me half of his usual service fee. Will surely use him again!
