They are the best place in the desert for all types of flooring. We just did a renovation on the house and we needed flooring in our entire 4500 sq/ft home which included carpet in the 4 bedrooms and hardwood in every other room. They gave me the best price out of all the places that I got quotes from and they were with me every step of the way! The salesperson I spoke to was so supportive and patient with me as we picked out our flooring. They initially said it would take 8 days to get everything installed, by they managed to get it done in 6 days! I have never had a better experience with a flooring company than at Carpet Empire Plus. They truly cared about us and delivered on all their promises!

I had quotes and services from Carpet Empire Plus back in April of last year. I spent about $6,000. They installed a faulty floor and then they tried to charge us even more to try and remove. It was a problem actually. We would never go there or recommend that anyone else do business with them. The salesman is slick and sold us a product that does not function properly in our application which we didn't find out until it was installed. Do not believe everything the salesman says and to get any agreements or statements in writing.

I decided to go Carpet Empire Plus, despite the one negative review, after talking to the owner, who really felt terrible about the bad
review and explained his side of the story. I received a good price and told the owner that I would be posting a review on Angie's list, so I expected his best performance. I was not disappointed. This is a second home, and they made a superb effort to fit my schedule for the installation. Installers were slightly late on one day, and did not finish the job when they said they would, but that was due to a unknown issue in one of the bathroom floors that had to be dealt with (there was no extra charge for this, despite the fact that it was a reasonably large project). Also, to there credit, they simply could have covered the problem and laid the tile and I would not have been any the wiser, but they pointed out the problem and told me how they were going to deal with it. The floors look great
and I am happy. Owner even agreed to take back two extra cartons of tile that were not used. The installers were polite, hard working, and cleaned up the mess this job incurred.

The tile I got is very difficult to clean and it should not have been sold to a residential customer. They also didn't seal the grout. When I called Daltile, the company that manufactures the tile, they said the problem occured because of residue left from when Carpet Empire originally installed the tile. They also said that the sanded grout should have been sealed. In response to their reply to my complaint I submit the following additional information. It is unfortunate although not at all unexpected that Carpet Empire Plus refuses to acknowledge its lack of professionalism regarding my tile installation. Just to set the record straight please note: (1) in response to their allegation that "the customer came to us requesting this specfic tile"- that is true but ONLY after I found it at their other location in Cathedral City. I was there with a friend who is an acquaintance of the owner, Steve Balian, during the Memorial Day weekend in 2011. It took me a year to fit the tile into my budget but when I could affod to buy it I went to their Indio store to purchase it. It is the EXACT tile that was on display at the Cathedral City store location. (2) In response to their allegation that the tile is "perfectly fine for residential installation" I have several written opinions from well respected companies who came to see my floors that these tiles were "approved" for residential installation but definitely inappropriate for said usuage. (3) No one from Carpet Empire Plus came to see us after the installation was installed and we called them to complain at their Indio location. We then contacted Dal Tile, the manufacturer of the tile and one of their reps came out and scrubbed two of the tiles. It did show that if someone agitated each tile for about 20 minutes with Nanoscrub that it would clean the tile of most , although not all, dirt. Obviously this was not realistic for us to do with over 1700 square feet of tile. Doing it every "3 to 6 months" is a ridiculous estimate of what is required to live in a home with clean floors. (4) I asked the manager at the Indio store and his installers several times whether the grout and the tile needed to be sealed. I was reassured over and over that it was not required. Since then i had a tile and grout sealer specialist called TileCare come out and seal the grout and the tile at an additional cost of $1695.00. That company did an excellent job. In conclusiion, I thank Angie's list for giving me the opportunity to voice my complaint and hope that any potential customers will not deal with Carpet Empire Plus to avoid that tremendous aggravation that my husband and I experienced.
