Poor service, couldn't find people to install the dishwasher

We got our appliances all from Lowe's.  They did a good job with everything.  We actually have to return one item because it has a defect.  We haven't done it yet.  It's the dishwasher. We can make it work.  It's a Bosch dishwasher and it's a nice one.  It's the sealant when you close the dishwasher tight, it's not sealed tight.  The dishwasher turns itself off, which is a good thing because otherwise water would get out.  There's something wrong with the sealant on this one side and so I have to prop something against it to make it stay shut.  It's just an inconvenience right now; it doesn't make it unusable. 

It was easy enough to purchase the oven, though we did all of the research ourselves and didn't receive much guidance. The third party that Lowes contracted with to deliver and install the new oven and take away the old one showed up on the scheduled date, but they just put the oven in our garage and left. We had to call Lowes to schedule a separate date for them to come back and finish the job, and then we discovered that the new oven wouldn't even fit in our kitchen. A week later, we're still going back and forth with Lowes and their contractor to send the oven back and get our refund. 
Overall, it's pretty much what you'd expect working with a big box store for a purchase like this. In the future, we'll go with a smaller place that specializes in kitchen appliances.

They did a fine job. It was painless for me. I turned my second bedroom into a makeshift kitchen. It went pretty quick. They had the old cabinets out in one day. The new ones took about a day and half to install. There was a break in the time. Lowe's contracted out some of the work and I had to set most of the appointments.

Their subcontractor (San Diego Granite) made measurements and was shown sample swatch.  They returned ~2 weeks later to do install . . . .they came with the wrong material.  It has been over 1 month now and no resolution.  Apparently, Lowe's and San Diego Granite are fighting over who's responsible for the mistake.  Both refuse to move until they settle their differences.  I have made over 20 phone calls and have nothing to show for it except BS and a big runaround.  Every time I call it's the same story:  "we're working on it sir.  It has been given to a supervising manager . . . blah blah  I plan to get new bids this weekend because it's unclear if Lowe's will ever honor their contract.  .......UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Our 1st contact on this project with Lowes was on 2/14/2014. A few days later Todd, Lowes bathroom designer, carefully walked us through the store, catalogs, and samples, showing us possible selections of materials and products, giving us advice as to quality and price, and answering our questions. After reviewing our selections with Todd and Ashley, who would be our contact during construction, we received an estimate of the cost, which turned out to be lower than we had expected.

On 04/9/2014 the materials and products were delivered to us, and were stored in our garage during the construction period. Less than a week later the contractor arrived and started work. They carefully covered the hall and bedroom floor with tarps and nearby furniture with plastic each day before they started work in order to avoid dust and damage. The workmen were obviously experienced, skillful, and efficient, and cheerfully let us watch and ask questions whenever we wanted to. Each day after they were done they cleaned up everything, once even sweeping up some leaves on the driveway! The work was essentially complete on 05/28/2014 except for a couple of callbacks to make some minor adjustments.

A few relatively minor glitches occurred involving product availability and selection but were all resolved by Lowes quickly and in our favor, and to our satisfaction. Some small and unforeseen items of work were simply furnished by Lowes without additional charge. The workmanship was of the highest quality throughout. Todd and Ashley at Lowes, and their Contractor Jim, were always available by phone, and stressed that we were to mention any concerns about the work, and it would be made right. We found little to be concerned about, and were always kept informed so that we could plan our lives around the work.

We were very pleased with the outcome of the entire remodel and found it to be a relatively pleasant experience. They worked hard to make it so.

How could you go wrong with a deal like that! So thank you very much Angie's List. The card arrived very quickly and worked just fine when we used it in the store.

The fellow who sold me the stuff worked hard to help make sure that I could afford the flooring and that it would work well.

It came out beautifully. There was a little problem with moisture, but they were able to find a work around it to save money and make sure it worked. They were fairly quick and when they came, they worked diligently.

They also put up molding around the bottom that I had painted.
