Description of Work: Sent a message for a few different handyman projects, one in 2015, two in 2016 and one more in 2017. Never got a response via message system, phone call or any other way. Pretty bad customer service to have such high ratings.

Description of Work: Viktor replaced sheet rock in the garage, put in a door jamb and plugged holes in the garage. My wife was very impressed with his work and seems to be the kind of person you feel comfortable in your house.

 + 2 moreVictor walked in the house, asked where he could start, and did everything we asked of him. If a job seemed like it would take a long time, he would estimate the length and ask if we wanted him to do it. He needed a few supplies, so he went to ASH and got them. The only thing he couldn't do was some repair work to the chimney. He was professional, efficient, neat, and friendly.
Description of Work: Assemble & install chandelier, install bathroom faucet, repair bathtub faucet, repair leaky faucet, repair towel racks, remove partitions from closet, and remove satellite dish from the roof.

 + 3 moreVictor spent a lot of time attending to all the above issues, most of which were not planned for. He made a run to a hardware store for more caulk at one point.He finished sawing through a tree branch that I couldn't complete because the pruning saw had jammed in the branch.He also spent time at two areas for prospective wooden privacy gates and gave me general estimates for time and materials.He was generous with his time. My straightened siding appears pristine.There has been no leaking since he came out.I was extremely fortunate that he had the time to spend on all the siding issues that he didn't know about before coming out.
Description of Work: I was very happy with Victor's work when he came out to clear my gutters about a year ago, so I called him again for the same reason and because one gutter was coming apart from its roof attachment. I told Victor about getting leakage in rain from a window near the detaching gutter, and how I once had a "pond" in the kitchen after a very heavy and windy rainstorm last winter.Victor noticed that some of the composition siding was buckling in several areas.(One area, mostly out of the weather, had been permanently buckled for the last three years and I couldn't budge it.) He flattened all the areas and fastened them to studs and caulked them.

Victor, the handyman, was on time for the job, listened carefully to what I wanted and asked questions to ensure he understood the details of what I wanted done. He is thoughtful and creative, and really takes the time to do the job right. I was very pleased with the quality of Victor's work and I will be calling them again for misc. jobs in the future.

 + 0 moreVictor was very pleasant and professional. He told me my options of either refitting the door or having the shifting framework replaced. I decided to just have the door refitted for now since the frame job will be more involved and require better weather conditions. He took less than two hours to remove the door, resize it, place it back in the frame and adjust the latch so the door sealed around the frame properly when closed. Victor is going to get me an estimate for the framing job. I will definitely use Victor for the framing job since he was very proficient at fixing the door. I think his price was fair and reasonable and I am very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Victor refitted an exterior door that was hard to open and close.

He was on time and very courteous (didn't get annoyed with me when I went to the home improvement store for a missing part and came back with the wrong part). I would not only definitely utilize he company's services again-- and intend to do so, but have already recommended him to several friends.

 + 1 moreI received an email with hours of inquiring about work. Michael was precisely on time. He was professional and courteous. We tried for years to fix the gates and Michael was able to locate the problem and complete the job. We are very happy with the results and will use him again.
Description of Work: To wooden gates were sliding on the concrete when we open/closed. Michael balanced the gates so they opened appropriately. Inside door did not close properly. Michael aligned the latch so that we could close and lock the door.

 + 2 moreCalled several people for bids and Victors seeded the most reasonable for the work involved. Told them I needed the work done ASAP as the property is a rental and our tenants have two dogs. I also told them roughly the materials and design I wanted. This call was made on a Friday and the fence was in on Wednesday. When I drove to the home on Friday I found the fence was done better then I expected not only as I had asked but with a few extra touches. A++++
Description of Work: Victor took out our old fence and gate, hauled off same and replaced with new material.

I would definitely recommend Victor for work at others' homes and would use his services again myself for future jobs. P.S. Note the coupon on the company Web site for a discount on work that totals a certain amount. Good value, very nice promotion/offer!
Description of Work: Excellent work. Victor was punctual, thorough, very knowledgeable and very skilled, very pleasant and congenial to have on site. He explained things well, asked excellent questions, and gave excellent feedback on preferences and choices. (Note: Victor is bilingual. I believe that Russian is his first language; his English is excellent as well.) He did a beautiful job replacing some wallpaper in my bathroom that had been heavily scratched by my 2 cats when they were rambunctious kittens. He also did an excellent job securely hanging a heavy mirror; installing an exterior door sweep and weatherstripping; fixing a hinge in the kitchen; and providing input about the advisability, feasibility and parameters of more involved improvements that I might contract out for in the future.

 + -1 moreOn January 16th used their contact e-mail address to tell them the work that I need to have done and received a response on January 20th that stated that they would have someone available on February 2nd. I e-mailed back saying that that day would be fine and asked how when would I find out how much the job would cost. It is now the evening of January 22nd and I have yet to receive any response from them -- either to give me a time or to answer my questions. I just send an e-mail telling them not to bother anymore -- I refuse to deal with service companies that provide lousy service -- and this was just to get the appointment set-up.

 + 0 moreEverything was fine. He arrived on time, cleaned and flushed the gutters, seemed to be thorough and was pleasant. I moved into this house about 1 1/2 years ago and it seemed largely refurbished. I would have been suspicious but wouldn't really know if he told me I needed to replace my gutters.After all. I am hiring someone to go up on my roof because I don't want to, so an unethical worker might be tempted to lie in hopes of getting more work. He told me my gutters were in great shape after the clean-out. (He was honest and I was lucky.)
Description of Work: Victor cleaned and flushed the packed gutters on my small, one story house in Concord after someone else told me what the cost would be over the phone and I checked with a couple of other companies. (It could be the price should be an "A' rather than a "B" since the economy may have depressed prices, but his estimate was in line with two other places I called.)

He spent the time necessary to carefully inspect the projects and gave me a written estimate within 48 hours, as promised. The work began shortly after I approved his estimate. He was skilled, professional, courteous, focused, and kind to the dogs. He is competent to do most anything in the realm of construction and repair and possesses commendable time management skills. I have hired many handypeople over the last 30 years and Victor is heads and shoulders above them all.

 + -1 moreThe handyman examined both doors, told me what the problem was with each door, and then gave me an estimate of the cost and the time it would take to repair each one. He was polite and very thorough. He was also well equipped to handle the job (everything he needed was in his truck), and he laid down large blankets on the floor so that he wouldn't make a mess. I was very pleased with his work; both doors now open and close perfectly.
Description of Work: I had two doors in my house that were jamming due to shifting in the house's foundation. The handyman adjusted the door frame in one of the doors and adjusted the hinges and locking mechanism in the other door. Each door took over an hour to repair. The handyman brought his own touch up paint to fill in the places on the door frames that were worked on. Separately, he also took a look at my garbage disposal, which I'd been occasionally having trouble with. Since it was working when he arrived, we decided not to do anything with it that day.
