J&M Keystone are known for their mold remediation services. I located their information on the web; not Angie's List. The estimate that was provided to clean 28 sq ft of affected wall space seemed reasonable. I checked some references and in all it appeared like a good deal. The first day the workers arrived 45 minutes late, worked for 2 hours and left. The next day the workers arrived 30 minutes late, worked 3 hours and left. When the workers left the second day they put a Hepa filter in the containment area with no sort of heater or dehumidifier. I got home from work and checked the progress in the containment area. The containment area felt like Florida in the middle of summer, hot and humid. It occurred to me that the humid air in an area that was already affected by mold was not good. The next morning spoke with the workers about the air and if they had found a reason for the mold. Was told that the reason was a cracked drain pipe and that for the air I need to speak with the supervisor. Who was never on site. The next contacted the supervisor about the air conditions in the containment area. I was instructed to talk to the sales person who was in charge of the account. Met the sales person at the house. The sales person told me that the humidity was normal and the musty smell was the plastic from the containment. The sales person than went on to tell me that the supervisor who was never on site wanted us to replace a section of exterior wall stucco the length of the wall and foot high because the water was coming from the outside. However, the employee who was doing the work identified the problem as a cracked drain. At that point I let J&M Keystone go from the project and called in a replacement to complete the work. In all I was charged for 32 hours of mold remediation work, even though the employees were only on site for about 6 hours.
