This "review" from [Member Name Removed] is a cut and paste from a review at Yelp, written a few weeks ago. She has added in a few more statements as well. She has also cut and pasted this to another review site. We would love to work this out with [Member Name Removed], unfortunately her stance on this has been and continues to be combative and threatening and we have not yet been successful at getting her into a friendly "let's work together to make this right" type of attitude. Here is the response we posted at Yelp: [Member Name Removed] has a high quality gate at her property, that was built to the highest standards, and has done much to increase her security. We've been out and inspected that lock several times and it has always worked. Although there is nothing wrong with her lock, we have offered to upgrade to a more expensive lock, and she refused. When we fabricated and installed [Member Name Removed]'s gate and she was thrilled. She gave us a video testimonial. After the gate was installed, she hired us again to install security cameras, as she believed her neighbors were spying on her, that she was being pranked, and that her property had been tagged by gang members. We began work very shortly. After beginning work, having installed a beam for the security cameras, she told us that she no longer wanted this done. Our company had already invested a fair amount of money in this, so we tried to use communication to keep the job, but we never felt we understood why she changed her mind. We feel we were considerate in all our communication, and never tried to use any means to "heavy hand" her to keep to the contract; but she was adamant about not continuing. Very shortly we removed our beam and returned her deposit in full. The security camera incident was a down-turning point for us. Before that, she was friendly and she was full of praise. Since that incident, it seems we can not do anything right in [Member Name Removed]'s eyes. Since then, we have been back to the property to work on her gate several times. The company has sent our very best people to her house, our best project manager; our top technicians - all of the people who are responsible for the sparkling reviews you see elsewhere here on Yelp. Most everyone in the company has attempted to work with [Member Name Removed] at one time or another. She has never once been satisfied. We can not reach [Member Name Removed] other than by email-- she tells us that her cell phone does not work in her home and that she has to be outside to use it, and we don't know why she does not have a regular phone. And all her emails to us have a demanding tone and will typically contain threats that she will go to the contractors' board if we don't do such and such a thing by such a date. Points in [Member Name Removed]'s review: [Member Name Removed]'s Liftmaster gate openers are amongst the most highly regarded in the industry. Yes, you can buy remotes for them, for less than $10 on Amazon, but they are not going to open [Member Name Removed]'s gates. Her gates are programmed to open and close for her remotes, and no one else's. We have not spammed [Member Name Removed]. She seems to have given the company permission to email her in that it is the only means we have to reach her. A fraction of our budget is spent on advertising and marketing. A significant proportion of our business is based on word of mouth. Our personnel are constantly being trained on the "latest of the latest" and the majority of our money is spent on our products and our services and making the company even better. We are, indeed, experts at building quality custom gates, as is evidenced by the other reviews here at Yelp and at [Hyperlink Removed] We have never offered a discount for a review on Yelp. [Member Name Removed]'s gate, whether she realizes it or not, is a piece of craftsmanship and beauty. It is, at this moment, increasing her safety and enhancing the beauty of her property. Hello [Member Name Removed], (I also wrote this same in an email to you that I am sending today.) I have read your review in Angieslist today and talked with the owner of the company, Avi Ben David. I can see that you are not satisfied with your service from Mulholland Security. Beyond apologizing, I don't think that there is much we can do about things in the past - this is in regards to punctuality, as an example. But I noticed as well that we only got a "C" grade on the quality of work as well. That's something we can fix. For me, ideally you would give me a chance to talk this all over with you. I'd like to find any and all actions or attitudes that have culminated in this upset. I promise to not defend or make excuses. I promise to listen fully. I would take notes during the entire call. Either then, or at a date very soon after, I'd like to discuss what we should do on our end to make things right with you. Of course, that would include resolving the quality issue with our work so that you'd want to revise our "Quality of work" grade to an "A". That's the only one of these things you have mentioned that I am certain we can change. Actually, giving this some more thought, I can also promise that the price for doing this should be absolutely nothing, that we'd also be punctual and professional and very responsive.
