+ -1 moreBecause this L.A. summer was unbearably hot, I went several months without cleaning my house. As I'm a bachelor, you can imagine how bad it got. The cleaner from KisClean showed up, I apologized for the mess, and went off to class. When I returned, it was as if she had waved a magic wand and turned back time to when I had first bought the house. Phenomenal work!

Description of Work: I called ordered the service and they declined the work because it was too far from their jurisdiction. I suggest Angie's List have someone focus on getting services from the San Fernando Valley on their list. I don't remember the exact date I ordered, but I was given a full refund from Angie's List & the company never provided any services.

+ -1 moreI had some problems getting ahold of the company, and then the owner forgot to call me back. He seemed apologetic when I called him and we made an appt. Then the person didn't show up, I guess there was some miscommunication. So I made another appt and a nice woman finally showed up. She didn't speak much English but was sweet. I wasn't super impressed with the work she did, but it was good enough. The stairs didn't get vacuumed, but it was definitely cleaner than before. With all the other options out there though, I would probably try a different company in the future.
Description of Work: House cleaning including cleaning countertops, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms ect. Basic cleaning not deep cleaning.

+ -1 moreCleaner arrived 30 minutes late but did stay the extra 30 minutes on the back-end - a little disrupting to my schedule but that's not the major issue. The kitchen was barely touched. While she scrubbed the stove top, the counters weren't even wiped down! Not to mention the floors. One would assume they would mop/sweep the kitchen floor, but no. The floors were left dirty. The entry way table wasn't wiped down. The office desks weren't wiped down. When I went to the master bedroom, I noticed that she vacuumed around my husband's shoes. Now, I'm sorry his shoes were on the floor and I would have been happy to pick them up had I been told, but to simply not vacuum that side of the bed because shoes were there seems a little ridiculous. But the WORST that happened was the damage. There is a huge scratch in my hardwood floors where the cleaner had moved a chair to clean beneath it. And of course, there is no supervisor to make sure the place is done to your satisfaction. I most definitely will NOT use this service again.

Description of Work: The housecleaner spent 4 hours cleaning and did a very good job. She was on time and brought her won cleaning supplies. She probably could have used a partner but did the whole house by herself. A lot of work.

Description of Work: i bought a package from angie's list but when i called to schedule an appointment, he told me he didn't work in my neighborhood, he was actually working in my neighborhood at that time, but only for big jobs, not for the package i bought, so i called angie's list and was refunded.

+ -1 moreOne (1) house cleaner provided 4 hours of vacuuming, mopping tile & wood floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen. They were very professional, did a great job as no dust, dirt, etc. were left untouched. They showed up on time, were courteous, and the results were great! This was the first time I'd use them because of a purchase of an Angie's List deal. I would definitely use them again in the future. They're reasonable, professional and have did an unbelievable job.
Description of Work: Did deep housecleaning for 4 hours for approx. 1200 sq. ft. home.

She got everything done in the 4 hour period (including giving the floors a good scrub) and I don't remember the last time my house was this clean.

+ -1 moreDo be specific with your priority list. Do make sure that the person doing the cleaning understands the priority list. Do make sure that everyone is clear regarding the fee for additional hours and whether additional time is an option.
Description of Work: If it's possible for a business to be "too good" I would say that was the case with KisClean. I was contracted for 4 hours of house cleaning; and discussed my priority list with the owner and the very capable person who came to work. This lovely woman went "above and beyond" my list at the back of the house. I was surprised and pleased. As she got closer to the front she was really rushing. My hardwood floors in the living room and dining room didn't get the same attention as the back of the house. I was slightly disappointed; but did not have additional funds for more time. I believe the intentions here were only good, and I would use this company again in the future. My priority list: 1. thorough bathroom (2) cleaning 2. thorough kitchen cleaning 3. Hardwood Floors needed as much attention as possible. 4. IF there was extra time, dusting. Results 1. Bathrooms were immaculate 2. Kitchen was beautiful 3. Hardwood floors in the master bedroom and hallway vacuumed and cleaned 4. Master Bedroom surfaces were beautifully dusted 5. Hardwood floors in the living and dining room were vacuumed and not cleaned, as we ran out of time. My Only Complaint I asked the house cleaner to please request that her boss purchase another vacuum cleaner, as the one she used had such a loud and high-pitched sound that it would most definitely damage this woman's ears. I had the luxury of going outside; as it was too awful of a noise for me to tolerate. I was concerned for the woman who had to be right next to this piece of equipment every day!

+ -1 moreThe cleaning lady arrived on time to a house in full disarray, with moving people and boxes and chaos everywhere. She was very methodical in her choices of where & how to clean first, given all of the people floating around. All I can say is, she was a true champ! One of the moving company guys was rude to her and told her to get out of his way, but she kept her cool and didn't let it bug her. She just kept finding new ways and places to do her work. I told her not to worry about cleaning everything perfectly, but she was tireless and gave everything her all. She did a more thorough cleaning job than anybody I've ever seen before. I only wish I could take her and Kis Clean to San Diego, because that's where we moved and it's sooooo hard to find a good cleaning person/company.
Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List deal for housecleaning and used it for a move-out cleaning. Move-outs are very dusty, dirty & complicated, but the lady who came wasn't daunted by any of it & she did an amazingly thorough job for a fantastic price. We've used MANY cleaning companies in the LA area and this company gave us the best experience we've ever had. They came, they worked hard and they had a great attitude to boot. Bravo!!

+ -1 moreOn the day of the cleaning, the cleaner had not showed up within 20 minutes of our scheduled time, so I called Phillip. He seem to confuse me with someone else and told me I was not on the books for a cleaning, which was a bit frustrating since I had arranged to be at home instead of work to let someone in. After a few minutes, we got this cleared up, and the cleaner was just running late. I was a bit disappointed that it was only one cleaner to cover the house in four hours. I knew that the deal stipulated overtime charges for more than 4, and with the size of my house it was pretty much guaranteed. Regardless, the cleaner did a nice job and it was nice to know the products were all environmentally friendly. There was one casualty of something that broke but in the cleaner's defense it was on an unsteady surface. It wasn't the most satisfying experience but at the end of the day that happens a lot with housecleaners and at least in this case the cleaning was well done and the price was right.

+ -1 moreOne very nice girl showed up in the morning to clean (I thought they were sending multiple people). She worked really hard and was here for about four hours. We lost our housekeeper just over a month ago (she just disappeared) and we have four dogs and two cats, so this girl had a lot to deal with. She did a great job. My only issue was that we called and asked for an appointment. The man who answered was driving and said he'd call back to confirm. He never called back, so we weren't exactly expecting her to show up when she did but we were thrilled with her work.
Description of Work: She cleaned the whole house and made it look as though we don't have as many shedding animals as we do.

+ -1 moreThere was some initial confusion about where the house was because on Angieslist our other home in a different area of the city was what came up for them and was out of their area. They were very communicative via email to make sure that they could service us and offered a refund right away if they could not. Their checking with me saved both of us trouble since the new home was in their service area so we could proceed. There was also an issue of schedule as we were not living in the property yet so being there at the time they were available to come was difficult. Again, again to accommodate us they worked out a solution that would allow them to come at a time more convenient to us by having 2 people clean for 2 hours rather than 1 person for 4 hours. In general they did a very good job although there were a considerable amount of cobwebs across the ceiling that I had to point out for them to sweep out. They also moved a lot of things in our kitchen cabinets to different shelves without moving them back. Same for a little furniture in one of the rooms. This "finding things moved around" is something we've experienced with other house cleaners so is not surprising but a little frustrating. Otherwise we were very pleased with the cleaning. We will consider them in the future if we decided to set up a reoccurring maid service.
Description of Work: They did a deep cleaning of a house we just purchased. We asked them to focus on the kitchen and the two bathrooms over the rest of the house but to do as much of the rest that they could in the time.

They were supposed to be there for 4 hours and they were only there for about half the time. They didn’t even offer a walk through to my wife who was home.

The girls are pretty typical; they are what you can expect these days...I'm revising this last statement to:: The girls I had yesterday and today should be the models for great house cleaning!!!! + -1 moreThey arrived on time at 9:15. The women worked very hard. They did a very thorough job. However, I was supposed to get a mold treatment in the bathroom. This was one of the most important things I wanted done. This was supposed to be included. They may have forgotten about the mold treatment which is understandable. However, I called them on 6/15 to let them know and come by to fix this. The person who answered said they are very busy and they will get back to me. I haven't heard back yet, and I would like the mold fixed.
Description of Work: Two women came to clean. I have cathedral ceilings with cabinets. They dusted on top of the cabinets. They cleaned behind the refrigerator. They moved the sofa to pick up the dog hair underneath the sofa. They cleaned the grout. They cleaned the inside of the windows. They also vacuumed. They cleaned the bathroom as well.
