Description of Work: The provide was on time. However, I wasn't satisfied with the service. I was trying my best to inform him I paid Angie's list to have a plumber come out and check my slow pressure water coming from the kitchen sink and bathroom vanity. He didn't bother looking at the receipt from Angie's list and went directly into selling mode. Telling me I needed to purchase brand new piper, for the vanity, new faucets at $200.00 for the kitchen and new pipes under the kitchen etc.for a grand total of approximately $900.00 not including the price I paid to angie's list.When I decided to call his office to speak to the owner or manager in charge and request someone else to come out because apparently something is wrong with this guy. I believe he though because I'm a senior citizen he could com me into spending more money and he could profit. Well this lady didn't fall for his tricky and called the office and believe me he was finished within 30 minutes and all needed was to have the water bleed.

Description of Work: The problem was a shower which had a drop in cold water pressure when the toilet was flushed. He looked under the house and did not come up with a solution. So as to not waste a visit, I had him change a leaky hose bib on the outside wall of the house which cost $177 beyond my original $139.

Description of Work: They did a great job with replacing the in-wall shower/tub valves, and excellent workmanship patching the walls when they were done - can't tell the wall was ever opened. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: I used Albert Nahman Plumbing for an earthquake gas shutoff valve installation. Michael came out to give me a quote, was very professional and friendly, explained the process and my two options for installation, and provided a followup quote to alter one of the installation options. Work was done on time and within the quote provided, and we are very happy with the work they did. We will definitely be using them again.

Description of Work: I needed a shut off installed on an old (and leaking) hot water booster tank in the master bath and advice regarding whether to replace the existing tank, install a recirculating pump, or go tankless. The guys arrived on time, were friendly and helpful, and the shut off installation was fine except it was done in such a way that I couldn't then reinstall the cabinet door that enclosed the tank even though it could have easily been installed so that the door could close. Pricing on all of the replacement options and some other plumbing work that I needed doing was very high (even with the loyalty program) so I decided to ask around and get other quotes. I ended up going with another plumbing service whose prices were much more reasonable and who did a great job. Just as an example, Nahman Plumbing told me that it wasn't possible to fix the leak on my 10-year old Franke sink-side instantaneous water heater'filter but that they could replace the assembly for about $1000. The plumber I ended up using fixed the problem with some plumbing tape and didn't charge me anything and it's still leak free 8 months later!

Description of Work: Arrived at the house, friendly and on time. I wasn't entirely sure I had identified correctly, but he figured out what to do quickly. Didn't add a new valve exactly like the one I had, added a better one that was easier for me to open and close. I used the Angie's list coupon, so the approximate $224 charge was $139 (coupon) plus $24.

Description of Work: This is my 1st use of Angie's List. They identified a plumber (in part based on the deal offered: $139 for $200 on the bill), rating, and proximity. I agreed, gave her my credit card to use for the deal, and they contacted the plumber for me. The plumber called that night, scheduled an appt for the next day, showed up on time, and spent an hour assessing the problem and general condition of the toilet. Her recommendation for my problem (leaky toilet) plus her identification of another problem (leaky bowl based on water she showed me on the floor; she specifically offered that she had shut off the water during this phase of the test to keep from causing the problem herself). She recommended a new toilet. After she left I tried to confirm or duplicate the latter/new problem; not possible; the floor remained dry. There's also no evidence of water having occurred before then either, eg, discoloration. I don't believe there is a problem with the bowl or the gasket under the toilet, so I cancelled the order for a new toilet which was to be installed the next day. Additionally I admit I was relieved to avoid installing a new modern, white toilet when the rest of the bathroom is a 1960's blue. On 6/15, I emailed the owner about my experience and displeasure with his plumber's service (escalating a relatively minor problem and creating another highly questionable "problem") in order to promote the need for new toilet. He replied that he trusts that employee's work and that since no work was performed, my advance money would be returned. On 6/19 the owner emailed again saying my money would be returned by Angie's List since it was you who took the money.
