It started out well enough. Josh showed up on time and provided a very competitive bid for our project that consisted of a kitchen backsplash, three full bathrooms, and a laundry room. He also requested to meet with our designers to help understand their vision and to ensure we were all on the same page. I thought this was a very good idea even though I had to pay my designers to meet with him. So the meeting ended with some action items. Josh was responsible for working with a 3rd party run a test to see if the glazed porcelain tile we chose could be mitered. The challenge is that the tile we chose did not have any finishing pieces available. We waited for over two months for him get back to us with an answer. Nothing. During this period he did nothing but complain about how he bidded too low. And when I asked about the status of mitering the master bath tile, he would make excuses. During month three he asked to take another walk through of jobsite and we obliged. Despite nothing changing, Josh hit us with our first set of change orders. Yes, we have not started yet he found numerous issues with his original bid (which he already sent to us in writing) and attempted to squeeze another $1500 from us from "change orders". It was also during this meeting when we caved and decided to switch from the porcelain tile that was impossible to miter to marble. We were anxious to get started with this project so we decided to spend 3x more on materials to make the installation go easier. Of course Josh attempted to increase the cost of the job with another change order for installation of the marble. This made no sense. We eliminated the need to send our tile to a 3rd party to be mitered by laser and you want to charge us more? W**?! It was at this point that I severed my relationship with SG Tile and went with someone who not only complete the job but also follow through with their bid. These guys were my second choice and when I told them we were going to use marble instead of mitering the porcelain, they decreased the cost of the job! There are too many good tilesetters and far more honest companies to deal with.
Description of Work: they didn't do anything other than delay my project by three months and cause agony and frustration
