The Traveling Mop

The manager of the house cleaners cut my time short because she said she had another client to work for that afternoon. She didn't charge me, but I wish she would have told me ahead of time.

It was okay. There were a few things they did not do. It was supposed to be a "heavy cleaning." They did okay. They missed the baseboards and they didn't get some of the cobwebs, and stuff like that. They did clean the refrigerator and they did clean the oven. There were no extra charges. I gave them a C for price because there were a few things they didn't do, that were left out. Their price is good -- as long as they do everything. The quality was good. What they cleaned was clean, the oven and all. I was surprised because the person that actually ran the place, the manager, she had called and made the appointment, then said she wasn't going to be there. I kind of thought she'd follow up, say, "How was everything?" and I'd just say, "Well, they forgot a few things." But, she never called or even followed up. I'm in sales so I always follow up. So I think of those thing. Other than that, everything was fine. It was the first time I ever had anything like that done, so it's not like I have anything to compare it with. They were about an hour late. I probably wouldn't use them again. I am picky, so I have to think of things like that. I had some surgery done so I couldn't clean. I had to have somebody come in. So, probably no, I probably would not use them again. Then again, I ever needed somebody, if I had surgery again and needed someone to clean my house, and I saw them listed, I'd probably say, "Oh, I had them before," and I'd probably call them. Yes, I would. But then I'd probably walk through and say, "Oh, you forgot this. Oh, you forgot that." I wasn't capable at that time to do that.

They were fair. Part of the deal was that they were supposed to do a deep clean and also the refrigerator and oven. And they did not do the refrigerator and oven and the baseboards in the bathroom were dirty but otherwise, they did a good job. They were quick and efficient, but it wasn't as advertised. For what they did clean, they did a good job. They didn't just do as advertised. It was a pretty good value. What they did was probably A work, what they didn't do is F. They did more than they didn't so I'm gonna average enough to give B as in "boy" again. They did delay a couple of times. They came and did their work. They didn't speak English so it's difficult to interact with them. They didn't do anything unprofessional.

I wasn't present for the cleaning, but they did a fantastic job. Everything was cleaned, and I don't think the place looked as good when I moved *in*. Diane went out of her way to collect and return keys while I was at work.

Called me back right away to schedule time. Arrived on time and ready to go. Ladies worked quickly and thoroughly. Diane is a pleasure to work with!

We purchased a home that was in need of a deep cleaning before we could move in. The Traveling Mop was hired to do the job. The deal they offered on Angie's List was a great way to go. It made the entire process easy and streamlined the scheduling. Diane and her crew arrived on time and the work was completed in a very efficient, thorough and professional way. All floor areas were clean, all surfaces shining, all fixtures sparkling, all bathrooms spotless and all drawers and cabinets were immaculate. We were extremely pleased with the result. The Traveling Mop really came through for us. Now we can move in!

The company was good with working with me on finding a common time that worked out.. The crew was friendly and timely. They did a good job cleaning the house. No issues to report.

I contacted Diane on Wednesday, she responded right away and we scheduled for the next day. She originally gave me a small window when she thought she'd arrive, and on the day of the cleaning, she texted me early to update her arrival and she was there exactly when she said. She arrived with two other women, they came prepared and were professional. She charged the agreed upon rate and their work was great, including kitchen appliances. I highly recommend and would definitely use again.

they did okay - nothing great, nothing horrible a few spots were missed but overall it was okay

Supervisor arrived with 2 housecleaners and all cleaning supplies and equipment. They were timely and efficient, and did the job as well as any other professional housecleaning service I've used in the past. They quoted me for regular bi-weekly subsequent cleaning ($90 for 1780 sq ft home) which is pretty much the going rate for my area.

I did not use this service because they were booked the week I needed them.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for 3 hours of housecleaning. I contacted the provider and requested the cleaning with an additional 1 hour of cleaning requested service on 2 date options the following week. I send a detailed message to them with my request. Their entire response consisted of this sentence : "I'll see what I have". The next day, I send them another message asking to schedule a cleaning, and received no response. Then I called their office twice during business hours and got voicemail and I left a message. Then I called the emergency number on their voicemail and got voicemail there too. I called that number again and finally somebody picked up. When I inquired about scheduling a cleaning the woman said she had nothing for the dates I desired. The fact that they never bothered to respond to my messages on Angie's list showed how unprofessional this company is. I am looking for a cleaning service to use on bi-weekly basis and this definitely is not the company for me!

i'm new to angie's list. i am paying for angie's list to help filter out the best services in my area. that being said, i would rate their first cleaning job with us as pretty good. we're looking for awesome, however after speaking with diane, we agreed that since housecleaning expectations do vary from person to person, we will try them, again. "awesomeness" about the service: -super responsive to my last minute request -prompt arrival -all 3 women were very nice -diane is a very good communicator and reasonable to work with -other kitchen details that i didn't ask to tend to were taken care of and hadn't been by previous cleaners -dusted and vacuumed -bathrooms were clean room for improvement: -i figured the floors would be super disinfected by their traveling mop :) but our kitchen floors were not given much attention, which was a bummer -although she said she wiped them down, kitchen countertops were not disinfected, and strangely, they were still dirty with crumbs and sticky food

They did a great job. Only drawback was I overestimated how long it would take and had bought the deal for 9hours of cleaning when I only took them (3 people) 2 hours total.

The owner, Diane, and 2 other gals helped me tremendously, working on specific tasks in the kitchen and family room after having major house remodeling. They even restored our cherry wood front door that was full of white ceiling dust in all the crevices. They cleaned our house plants and made the wood furniture look better than it was! Diane also gave me helpful tips to get other items cleaned. I appreciated their detail work on the kitchen as well. We would definitely hire them again!

Punctual, professional and pleasant. I purchased a cleaning package to see what type of work they did (and to get my home back into shape). I was very impressed! They spent a lot of time deep cleaning my home and I could tell that they worked very hard to get as much done as possible within the allotted time (per the package that I purchased). And... they didn't cut corners. The owner, Diane, is also very easy to work with. I would recommend them without a doubt.

After Reading the response, there is no doubt in my mind the owner of this company is a liar! It was 5:00 on a Friday and the cleaners simply said they were done cleaning. The house was not properly cleaned! They actively tried to get out of the remainder of the work. The owner would not stand behind the deal I purchased. My wife had left the house to see clients and I was at home with my children for most of the time they were in the house. The bottom line is you have a company who lies to customers and does not like it when they are held accountable. I did not want them in my home ever again based on the crummy job they did cleaning! That is why I requested a prorated refund. This supplier has integrity issues. Avoid them! I would not recommend them or ever use them again. The cleaners did a mediocre job and left early, not completing the terms of the deal purchased. They arrived slightly after 3:00 PM on Friday the 13th. At 4:50 PM they said they were done. They worked less than 4 hours total for a deal where 6 hours of cleaning was purchased. I told the provider when they were at my house they has not completed the total hours purchased. The cleaner said she would call the boss. She walked outside and told me she had spoken to Diane and I would be refunded the $50 for the remaining 1/3 of the time left. I spoke to Diane as well later in the day. She was rude and defensive. She offered to have the cleaning crew come back for two more hours. Based on the quality of the job they performed I told her I did not want them back and wanted my money refunded. She refused claiming Angie's List already took their cut and she would under no circumstance refund my money. Shame on Traveling Mop for bad business practices and trying to under serve clients who have bought deals for service. Several areas of the house remained dirty and could have been cleaned when they claimed they were done. I guess the desire of the cleaners to go home on a Friday afternoon was greater than the desire to do an honest cleaning job. From dealing with Diane, I can see where the culture of this company comes from.

Diane was punctual, fast-working and efficient. There was a crew of three ladies who worked for one hour. They completed all the basic cleaning of the house (dusting, mopping, wiping window sills, vacuuming, etc.) I was glad to have their service and tipped them nicely. I would recommend them to a friend.

Three women from the Traveling Mop arrived. Only 2 stayed the entire time, while the third left to do some errands or something and was also on the phone a lot. I believe she was actually the supervisor or lead person as she was a native English speaker. However, the two who stayed were fantastic! They were very thorough and detailed; very hard workers. I was very pleased with the work that they did and the price of the service. It's taken me a long time to write the review but I've been meaning to for a while. They deserve positive ratings for the work that those two ladies did. I would definitely use them again.
