Sunguard Custom Painting

Description of Work: Walter Johnston (Jr. & Sr.) showed up to provide an estimate and start of work as promised. Their crew painted the entire exterior of our house including the inside of our fence. They also touched up several places inside the house. Price was very fair and work was excellent. They did a great job preparing the house for painting, patched all cracks, replaced molding around garages, covered all windows and doors, and provided quality Dunn Edwards paint. From start to finish, they completed our 3100 sq. foot house in just 2 days. I would like to nominate them for Angie's Super Service Award. I was very pleased with all aspects of their work.

Description of Work: They painted our stucco house. The only reason for the B under professionalism is that they left spatters of paint on the front and back patio tile and tiny drops of paint on the front wooden varnished door. |When cleaning the tile at my request, Walt noticed paint on my garage floor and stated he thought the paint on the patio was the same, implying that I had made the drops on the patio. I had recently painted the garage ceiling and was well aware of the drops of paint in the garage. I had not painted on the porches or patio, so know the drops weren't from any painting I had done.

Description of Work: I hired Sunguard to paint my 6,900 sf two-story home located in DC Ranch in north Scottsdale. I got a quote from Sunguard along with 3 other firms and they were the lowest. At their request I met with Walt Johnson Sr. and his son Walter and we walked the house together on one Saturday morning and made sure we all understood the scope of work. I signed their proposal and we ultimately scheduled a start date. They showed up exactly on the day we agreed and their guys started work. Their guys were very friendly and courteous and worked very hard. They did a good job of prepping and patching and caulking my house prior to painting. In the end the final product looked great. They had a few final punch list items and Walt Sr. personally made sure they were all corrected. I would definitely use them again. Note - one word of caution, make sure you take the time to cover up any patio furniture or any other items you want to protect from paint overspray. I covered my items and they still managed to get some minor overspray on them, as well as some paint drops on my Saltillo tile. However, overall I thought they were a great company. I recommend you definitely get a bid from them and seriously consider them.

I was very impressed with the care they took to protect my decks, plants, etc., and there isn't a single thing I would want them to do differently. If there were six stars, that's what I would give this company.

Description of Work: We were extremely happy with the exterior stucco repair and custom painting provided by SunGuard. Everyone was very professional, friendly and efficient. The work was completed in 2 days time and the workers made sure everything was cleaned up when they were done. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors on how nice the house looks.

Description of Work: Very professional. Pressure washed house first day, then came back and taped windows, etc. Had entire house primed and first coat done. Finished base coat and trim third day. Total time about 23 hours to paint 2700 square foot two story.

Description of Work: I keep getting requests from you to rate a painter I hired and subsequently cancelled (just changed my mind...he was very nice) This was over a yr ago and I checked that I did not use him and still get requests to rate him.

Description of Work: I initially purchased $299 for stucco repair but when they came out to view the project, it was apparent that the house and walls needed paint as well. So we agreed on a price and the work began that day. The caulking and stucco repair took about two days, then the painting started and was completed within the week. They were very responsive to return for touch ups, as well as waiting to complete a change in fence and gate cors for the HOA to approve. George was a delight to work with. The only regret I have is that the cost of the job was $3300.00 while a recent Angie's promotion was only $1500.

Description of Work: Sunguard painted my two story home, grill, front door and railings. They did the base color as well as a trim color. Walter who managed the project had an outstanding team working for him. They were on time, listened carefully to what we wanted done, did a great job in protecting property from paint not going where we wanted it, and cleaned up after themselves. My house was a big job and the price was excellent. Each person on the team was a hard worker and treated our home like it was their own. I want to use them for the interior next time.

Description of Work: Sunguard painted the entire 3,300 sq. ft. house and one block wall in the back yard. This is a custom house with alot of wood poles and a wooden patio/ deck on the 2nd level in the front. They did an exceptional job of repairing anything that had erroded or rotted from time/ weather. They also made a special trip to Dunn Edwards prior to the work being done to ensure I had a color sample of the wood trim to get approved through my HOA. They moved all the furniture and were very neat and cleaned up daily. Definetly did an exceptional job on my house.

Description of Work: They power washed the house. They cut foilage from around the house. They fixed the stucco, they painted the house and cuppala and fixed and painted the gates. They fixed shingles and sealed the entire roof.They did a great job and I am so happy that the house is painted and the roof is protected!!!
