I reviewed this job about two weeks ago. I wanted to come back and provide a fair overview of this provider. I was completely satisfied with the job done but I was disgruntled RE: price. However, after I had a chance to cool my jets, I realized that even though there were offers for better pricing, they weren't as comprehensive, etc as what Sunguard did. On top of that the price was agreed upon contracting and before proceedng to actual work.

Sunguard came to the residence, provided an estimate and were willing to adjust their price based on data from another estimate. The one hiccup was scheduling the start date. There was a misunderstanding between myself and Sunguard about the start date but they responded promptly and completed the work as promised. They painted the house, after repairing the stucco and painted the block fence to match the house.

They painted my house. Everything they did was accurate and professional. They performed all services to my satisfaction.

The quality of the work was excellent! The paint crew was onetime everyday and did a phenomenal job on scraping the wood fascia and patio addition. The paint crew continuously asked us questions on what we wanted painted the primary and secondary color. The paint crew was at the house for over 3 days getting it ready to paint. They even contacted my neighbors and told them to move their vehicles because of possible paint over spray.

Best house painter we've used and first we've used on this house. And this house is more complicated because it has 2 colors. We are extremely satisfied from first contact through completion of the work!! They helped us make our color choices including painting samples for final selection. Every person we dealt with was professional and courteous, and they arrived when they said they would, finished on schedule. They clearly know what they are doing and we quickly realized we could trust them without monitoring progress. They were very efficient, very thorough and careful - took special care not to damage our foundation plants. And they cleaned up after themselves. The house looks great

They were great. Their price was very reasonable. I purchases the "Big Deal" that they offered for my exterior of the house, and then had them additionally quote the painting of my stucco fence, staining my doors, clearcoating my railings, and painting one interior ceiling. They were polite, punctual, efficient, and did an excellent job. I definitely got my money's worth. They cleaned up everything when they left, and I would not hesitate to call them in the future for painting work. I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs a painter.

Overall our experience was good with Sunguard. They were flexible with our start date which we changed to have the HOA approve our color choices. They changed their start date to Friday from Thursday, after we had arranged a day off on Thursday and that was frustrating And there were some communication challenges with the Father and Son team. There were 2 other workers painting the home and they were very pleasant to work with. We changed our mind on a section of pop out we wanted completed and they were able to be flexible at the last minute. The last day we went over the spots we were not happy with and they fixed the work with no problem or additional cost. Our wood was deteriorating in some places and they did a great job caulking and painting it to look excellent. They sanded and refinished our front wood door and it looks much better than it did. The RV gage and the golf fence worked out well too. The price was $200 cheaper than the competitors we also priced.

Walter was prompt and ready to paint within a reasonable timeframe after he quoted the work. The paint team was very fast and Juan, the lead painter, was great. He answered my questions on the work with thorough explanations. We did a walk through after the work was done and they promptly fixed any issues right away (not many, very minor stuff!). The house looks great and we've gotten lots of compliments from the neighbors.

These gentlemen were an absolutely fantastic father and son team!!! They kept in contact with me once I had purchased the Deal from Angie's List and made certain that I had all the pieces in place - HOA restricted paint schemes can be complicated, to say the least. They informed me that they would do the prep work on Monday, begin the paining on Tuesday and finish up on Wednesday. Like clockwork, that is precisely what these guys did. Right on time, on cost and very good workmanship. I even added an extra job for them after they completed my house. I had them paint my block wall. We agreed on the price to do this work. My assumption was that they would fit me into their schedule when possible - I arrived home on Thursday and the work was DONE!!! Courteous, kind, respectful and very appreciative. Walter even went so far as to take care of a package that had arrived via FedEx while I was away. Instead of leaving the package by the front door in plain sight, he made sure the package was delivered by handing it to me when I met him at my house. Talk about taking care of their customer!!! Definitely above and beyond the scope. If you're looking for a painter - I would suggest you look no further than SUNGUARD CUSTOM PAINTING. You can't go wrong with these guys.

Walter is an extremely nice person and my wife and I were so happy to do business with him and his dad. They were very friendly, courteous and honest. They always arrived a few minutes before the arranged times and provided service in an efficient manner. The work they do is amazing and our house now looks fantastic. We are very pleased with the work and the price. I highly recommend using them for your painting needs.

Excellent job. Sunguard provided an estimate and work order which they completed exactly as promised. They actually hand painted an area that was too difficult to spray or roll due to the weather (it was a little windy that day). We would definitely recommend them to people we know and also have then do any work on our home in the future.

I enjoyed having them do the work and meeting such nice people. They were courteous well informed and hard working. The owner Wes on the job every day and made sure that all of our wishes were understood and fixed just as we ask them to do. We did a walk thru at the end of the work period and everything was just as they had promised. I can say that working with this contractor was a very pleasant experience and a happy occasion. I would recommend this contractor to anyone and have no worries about the job they would do. Best of all they were more than competitive and better quality than others that have done work for us in the past.

They have repainted the exterior of our home (3950 sq. ft.) and coated our flat roof twice. I enjoy working with the Johnstons (owner family) and their work crew/supervision. Their recommendations and suggestions are pertinent and add value to their work.

Work started when promised and finished on time. No issues came up during the performance of the job which were not immediately addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. All painters assigned to the job were very professional. As previously stated, on final inspection of the work the Sunguard owner spoted items to be corrected which I had missed. As an example, he was not satisfied with the coverage on the garage doors and had this work redone.

THIS COMPANY WAS THE MOST COMPETITIVE BID AND AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE THE JOB IN SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE PAINTERS WERE PROMPT AND NEAT IN COMPLETION OF THE TASK. THEY READILY AGREED TO APPLICATION OF SECOND COAT OF PAINT FOR THE WOODEN GATE IN FRONT OF HOUSE WHEN ONE COAT DID NOT COVER WOODGRAIN.
