Sunguard Custom Painting

there were issues with color provided but rectified by company and all was corrected. The Painters were very accurate to caulking and correcting all the repairs needed.

The team started sooner than expected worked for 2 1/2 days and had the job completed! Walter, his nephew and two other great guys did an outstanding job. I couldn't be happier. I will use them for the interior and the exterior block walls as soon as I decide on colors.

Walter Sr. came out quickly to give me an estimate to paint part of the front (wasn't planning to paint the never-before-painted block), both sides, and the back of my house. I had already met with 3 others for estimates of which 1 was more expensive and 2 were less expensive. I did feel like the more expensive company would do a very detailed and stellar job but I lost my job a month ago and needed to watch my expenses. Walter was quite kind and professional. I felt confident he and his team would do a very good job so we set a tentative time frame of end of May (as I needed the work completed before 6/4). I went about trying to pick my paint colors. (That was more difficult than I thought!) I also had the pleasure of speaking with his business partner, Walter (Jr.) who was also quite kind, professional, and helpful. I made my final color selection and was going to run it by some family members on the weekend but I received a surprise call on Friday 5/16 that they could start the job that day. Since I knew I could probably spend another month looking for the "perfect" colors out of the thouseands to chose from, I decided to "go for it." I am glad I did. Walter, Walter, and Juan guided me well on some decisions, AND gave me a great add-on price to paint the front house and fence block. They had the job done by EOD Saturday. And it was a job well done! I would like to add two things. Since they were starting the job in an hour's notice, I of course did not have patio items removed. I hurried to get the breakables inside. One of the crew was helping me take down the patio light strings and in doing so, he broke one of the (not-standard) bulbs. I know accidents happen. I was worried that they were in a hurry and would rush through the job. I did let Walter Sr. know Iof my concern and he assured me they would not rush, AND that he would try to get a replacement bulb (or a new string if need be). They really did try to make that right which I appreciated. The second thing though is at the end of the job, one of the crew mut've dropped and broke one of my ceramic decorations. Rather than tell me, he tried to fix it woth glue or caulking. When I went to move it, it fell apart and I could see the attempted repair. I would've rather he told me, apologized, and let me try to fix it correctly myself. Overall, I think Sungard did a VERY good job and did so professionally and courteously through the whole process. I would most certainly call them again for my future paiting needs and I would refer them without question.

I had a good experience overall with this company. They showed up on time which was a big deal to me to be here when you commit to & they also called to tell me they were running a bit late on final walk through. If I were to say something constructive they could have cleaned up a bit better (ie: tape, string, debris left laying around the yard). I was surprised that they did the power washing, prep work & the painting of the house all in 1 day, when other companies told me it would be a two day job. I did have to call them, as 5 days afterwards I hadn't heard anything from them to finish up (do the touch ups, ect) but then they came out that same day. I used the coupon they offered, and did pay a bit more on top of that. I would consider them again in the future.

This is a great little family-run business and they got the job done quicker than they said, which was great, asked for no money up front at all and only asked for the amount agreed on once the work was done and inspected by us. Very friendly, efficient and affordable. The only hang up was they don't easily take electronic payments, but that was a minor hiccup considering the great job they did so very quickly.

They were excellent, and very patient. We had to get approval from our HOA (even to repaint with the same colors). That process took about a month and a half, where it should have happened in less than a week. But Walter was very patient. Once we received approval, I called him on Friday, May 2. He said he'd be out in about a week to power wash the house. They came out on Thursday, May 8, and power washed the house, and began repairing cracks and covering all of the windows, and our stone front. They returned on Friday morning, May 9, and finished repairing and covering windows etc., and then began painting. They were completely done by about 4:30 p.m. That was exactly a week after I received approval from my HOA. I can't say enough about their quality and promptness. And the best part was the price. They were significantly less expensive than others. Walter gave me a good price because he wants to do business in my neighborhood. I'd gladly recommend him to our neighbors, or anyone. As a bonus, they also painted our BBQ island in the back yard, and the top of a decorative stone wall in the front yard, and also the stucco part of the chimney on the roof. They also discovered that the weather-stripping on our side entry garage door was dried out. I went to Home Depot and purchased new stripping, and they installed it for me. Great job-great price-great people! -

Quality work at a fair price. Work completed beautifully. These people went beyond the expected service. They helped move the furniture which is difficult for me in my seventies. They even arranged to change the agreed upon color in one room when my wife changed her mind for a reasonable price. Thank you for a job well done. P.S. Fabulous. We contacted Sunguard over a month ago to review prices and colors. The came out a few weeks later to paint different samples on our wall and were patient while we waited for HOA approval. When I was finally ready to move forward, they were out within a few days and painting. I couldn't believe they were able to get everything finished within 3 days. And they did a wonderful job.

They did my exterior painting and now I am looking for someone who will do my interior painting. I did not check you yet. It was a good price.

My wife and I loved the whole Sunguard experience. My wife is a school teacher and I am in local law enforcement and we want to strongly recommend Sunguard to everybody. The price was fantastic and the service was fantastic as well. We now have a house that looks brand new and the quality of the paint, that Sunguard used, is superior to the cheap paint that the builders used in the building of the house. Thank you, Sunguard!!

I decided to use Sunguard based primarily on their many good reviews on Angie's List. Since I live in another state I was careful to choose someone I could trust with the job. I spoke to Walter several times before I was ready to proceed and he was quick to respond and was patient with my schedule. They prepped everything, repaired, cleaned and then applied the higher quality paint I requested at the same price a lesser quality paint was quoted. I appreciated that. I had my maintenance man meet them when they were done and evaluate the job. Except for a couple of missed spots (which they corrected), the job was done very well. Everything was completed in a timely manner. I would recommend Walter and Sunguard to others needing a painter they can trust. I look forward to using them again in the future.

All in all I'm a happy camper.

Walter's son met with me twice to discuss work to be done and price. We also discussed upgrading paint. My home has 1500sq ft of livable space, not sure of the outside. I called when I was ready to set appointment, they got back with me in two weeks. The crew consisted of two men and they completed the work in 2 days. Repairs were completed as agreed upon. I had to work the 2nd day and did not return home until late so could not inspect the property. I looked it over on the following day and Walter came to pick up payment. I did point out a couple places at the base (platform?) of home where paint had bubbled, perhaps not prepped well. He and son took care of it, they took the time at that moment to touch up the places of concern. Also, some paint left over for me if necessary. I interviewed 2 other companies and pricing was similar give or take a couple hundred dollars. I interviewed Sunguard first and selected them. Overall, very happy with service.

Sunguard's prompt on time service is very much appreciated. The color recommendations turned out great and the job was well done. We had no problems and the service was excellent.

Was looking for a contractor to paint approximately 2700 sq. of the downstairs and upstairs of my home and based on the great reviews decided to go with Sunguard. From beginning to end the service was excellent! From coming over to provide a very reasonable quote, to helping me select the perfect color and accent color for my walls, to even scheduling me in a few days later, everything was handled perfectly. They arrived on time with a professional team of 4 people and it showed that they really knew what they were doing! Very fast prep time and the whole job of about 2700 sq. feet was done in one day and it looked awesome! At the end of the job I walked around with the crew and was very pleased with the quality. A few small little touch up areas were acknowledged and handled immediately. Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and service I received and I would absolutely use them again in the future.

We needed to have some small stucco repair done and to repaint the exterior of our 2 story home and we obtained several estimates from other companies. George and Hughie came out the same day I called and within 10 minutes of walking around the house they pointed out what needed to be done, how long it would take, how many would be on the job, how much it would cost, and that they could start immediately. The price was extremely fair and their professionalism swayed us immediately. So, that same morning George and Hughie raked all of the gravel from the base perimeter of the house and then pressure washed the entire exterior. We had to obtain HOA approval to change our paint scheme which involved a three color schematic. Obtaining HOA approval was the most lengthy part of the process but finally we got it. While we were at work George actually came out and painted some swatches of the colors we chose just to ensure that we liked how the colors actually looked on the exterior surface. Sunguard gracefully accommodated our challenging schedules and began the process on a Wednesday afternoon. They completed the job on early Friday afternoon. They were clean, friendly, and extremely efficient. Some moving of patio furniture and heavy potted plants was required - while I was inside the house making a phone call they moved everything to a safe location and nothing was broken. Of course, upon job completion, they moved everything back. Oh yes?.the paint looks extraordinary!! The neighbors must think I'm slightly nuts because I go outside intermittently and stand in the driveway to admire how beautiful the house looks. Our neighbors to the East are now awaiting HOA approval to have their home repainted. I'm happy to know that someone else is as smart and as lucky as us to have chosen Sunguard. Walter oversaw the project, very professional, punctual and responsive. Jim replaced all the installation/siding and fixed a gate latch that had not worked properly since my father-in-law installed.it. Walter, Jim, Walt's father and the paint crew were all very professional. I plan to use Sunguard for future work and highly recommend them to one and all. Great job.

George and Hughie, from Sunguard, came to my house on a Saturday afternoon, because they had been out of town during the week, while I was getting quotes for painting my home. They were both friendly and willing to answer any questions. I had done my homework and gotten quotes from other companies - it was an even split between Sunguard and the other company, as far as price and my comfort with their representatives. George marked his price down just enough to beat the other guy and offered to do it the next week. I hadn't told even told him the other company was a month out. They came Wednesday afternoon to power wash the house. Thursday morning his crew arrived around 7 and worked until it was finished at about 6. The crew was efficient and friendly! The home looks brand new! My husband and I walked around a few times while they were working and they always spoke to us and answered our questions. It looks so good, people are slowing down as they drive by to look and they have gained about 5 other houses in the neighborhood. I am sure there are many more to come! Our next door neighbor and one behind us just got their homes painted today - makes my whole view look better! Will be referring to my daughter and friend in Henderson!

Everything that Sunguard did for me was fantastic. I had the entire exterior of house redone. Inside, I had 2 bathrooms, study and an interior wall painted. Everyone I dealt with was extremely responsive, professional and amazing to work with. All work done was very detailed and fast (two days). Everything was cleaned beautifully when the work was done. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy and were very helpful in picking out the colors for the job. They really went beyond my expectations and should I need further work done, they would be the only ones I would call. I am super happy with everything and just wish I could give them an A+.

Very professional, efficient and easy to work with.

I needed to have kitchen and three bathrooms painted, so the deal of the week on Angie's list was 2 Interior Painters for a Day. When George came out to take a look, I also had him quote me on repairing stucco and painting the outside of the house. So instead of just two painters, I would need a full crew for an entire day. I wasn't sure about what colors to use, so he pulled out a color chart and guided me through the process. It's a two story 2,000 sq ft home. The crew showed up at 7am and by 7pm the job was complete. The house looks great, the kitchen and bathrooms are perfect. I will be calling on George, Huey and the crew when I need the bedrooms and dining room painted.

These folks were amazing. They showed up at 7:00 a.m. ready to work, and they worked through the afternoon until the job and all associated details were completed. Everything was done to perfection, even a ceiling repair over the front porch before the area was painted. Furthermore, the paint used was top of the line. This contractor is a family owned business and everyone takes pride in doing a great job: dad, uncle, nephew, etc. I have never had this experience with another contractor; not ever!! Everyone was friendly and paid close attention to all my specifications. They even re-potted a plant that had fallen over. The pot cracked and the guys used an empty pot I had in the backyard to repot it. All debris from the job was cleaned up and everything was put back in its place. There was nothing out of place to tip off my husband who was out of town when the painting was done. I did not tell him about the job so I could see how observant he was the following morning after his late arrival home the previous evening. After a few trips in and out, he noticed and was very pleasantly surprised and pleased. This is the real deal, not just an exaggeration from a happy homeowner!!!!

Would recommend in a heartbeat. They were detailed, fast, professional and did an outstanding job. They went above and beyond my expectations.
