Sunguard Custom Painting

As soon as I purchased the Big Deal for exterior painting, Walter's response was immediate! As I had an out-of-town guest for several weeks, Walter was more than willing to work with me on scheduling. Prior to the date we selected for painting, he came out with paint samples of the three color combinations I was considering... which I really appreciated. Carlos and his helpers arrived right on schedule... they immediately went to work with the power washing, prepping and repairing any cracks in the stucco. They were very polite, did the job efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. I am extremely pleased with their workmanship... the house looks wonderful! Walter himself is a very honest, conscientious person... I would not hesitate to use Sunguard again, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a business you can trust!!

Our experience was great. We had our entire interior of our home plus the garage. We had a two tone paint job with multiple accent colors. Workers showed up on time each day, cleaned up upon completion of job. Once the job was done, we did a complete walk through and any flaws were fixed and repainted. We were very happy with the final product.

The estimate was provided and they were able to start the next day which surprised me as I figured there we be at least a two week wait. The two crew members started early at 7 am and had everything done and cleaned up by 3 pm. I was amazed at how quickly it was done. I looked at the finished work with an eagle eye and did not find anything that required touch-up. Their thorough and professional job looks so good the neighbors came out to check it out! Prompt service, good price for quality paint (Dunn & Edwards) and an attention to the details puts them high on my recommendation list. Thanks for a job well done!

Everything we requested was done in a timely manner. The preparation and application of the painting process was excellent. Each crew member was competent, courteous, and conscientious. We would use this team again and we will recommend them to others.

I live in Vegas so called their local #, as I had two houses to paint. One is a rental, 1750 sq ft, larger than the max offered in their coupon, and I wondered how much more it would be to paint than their coupon price. I figured I would contract for that one first, see how it went, then if all went well would hire them for my primary home, a larger house. "George" answered and was polite, told me they were the best painters in the Valley, and would make me a good deal. He asked me to text my specific address along with a meeting time for Monday, which I did, and he texted back and said he would be there. So I'm there at the specified time, and no one shows. The guard at the front gate tells me a painter came and went about 10 minutes before our meeting time, so I called George and left 2 voice mails, and also texted him twice within half an hour, trying to determine if he was coming (or coming back?), all with no response. After half an hour, I text him: "Have called you twice and texted you twice. I find your lack of response bewildering!" Then as I'm heading home, I finally receive a text: "I'm so sorry I don't know if my father had got a chance to talk to you, we had a unexpected event in the family". OK, so I feel bad that something apparently tragic had happened, and texted him back, asking if we could reschedule. When I didn't hear back within a half hour, I texted him back and said "Never mind, going to use someone else". His reply: "Very sorry we are at the hospital now and I am very upset, sorry again." I texted him back, wished him well and told him that I hope it all worked out OK. I chalked it up to bad timing and was not going to mention anything here on this forum about the experience. BUT... today, two days later, the father calls me from AZ inquiring about "that painting job". I said, "What painting job, who is this?" He identified himself as the father/owner of SunGuard, and I told him that I had already contracted with another company, that I was stood up on Monday by them, and didn't have need for them any longer. He says, "Oh, Monday? Oh yeah they were getting married that day, I think they were looking for a chapel!" When I said that explanation didn't jibe with the one I was given, involving "family events and hospitals", he said "Yeah, I think they just didn't want to tell anybody." As further BS was emitting from him, I hung up the phone. So I guess I had the bad timing to try and get a quote on the day there was a family wedding sort of half planned, some chapel hunting taking place, along with some kind of family event at a hospital. Not really sure, and don't really care, but since this forum is dependent on reviews, I thought I would pass mine along. I would be careful when dealing with them at this time of apparent family upheaval.

Came on time. Did the job as paid for. Cleaned up his mess. Came back and touched-up 2 spots. No complaint. See above.

George and Hewey came to see what we needed done. We had wanted to paint the wall in the stairs and the hallway on the second floor. We also had a wall in the kitchen that needed paint and some touch ups. They gave us an offer to do all the work we wanted plus the outside of the house which needed stucco repair and painting. The day of the appointment they called to see if they could come earlier and George came with his crew (great workers, very professional crew) to show them all the work needed. They took time to make sure the colors were exactly what was required (we cannot have different colors due to association rules) and what we needed and chose for the inside. They covered all the areas that were going to be worked on with plastic and did a terrific job. When one of the colors did not quite match, they worked on blending and mixing to make sure it did. Terrific job! The work was done in reasonable time, very professional and we are quite happy with the end result. Thank you, George and crew for a very well done job.

I purchased a big deal with Sunguard Custom Painting, but due to the service I wanted to have done, and what the service provider estimated I decided to end this deal. He was very professional, and friendly service provider , but unfortunately we could not come to an agreement on the work that needed to be done.

The crew was early and got everything done in one day from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Initially we removed all the window solar screens so the trim on the windows could be painted with one screen too difficult to remove--the crew removed the "sticky" solar screen without even being asked. At the end of the job they put the solar screens back in place without being asked.

I cannot say enough about these guys and how amazing they were! I got a call from them almost within an hour of buying their coupon. Our house is twice the size stated in the coupon, so we knew it would be more expensive, but they are so reasonable with their prices that we said yes in a heartbeat. They came out right away to do the power washing and the next week to do the repair and painting. I honestly cannot tell you how amazing our house looks! If you saw it before and saw it now, you would think it was a totally different house. They were extremely careful with the new solar screens we had put in last year and removed the old rotting "shutters" for us as well. They were great in helping to pick out the colors for the house and it looks spectacular. He has a really great eye for color! Amazing, amazing, amazing. What more can I say - we would hire them again in a hot second!

They did a great job. The coupon they offer only applies to smaller houses. My house was 2800 sq ft so the coupon didn't apply.

Painted the eterior of home. Repaired cracks, replaced garage door moldings, painted block wall, footings. Used good quality paints. Eggshell finish. They were professional , did everything they said they would do and more . Were on time and cleaned up.

The painters were punctual, careful, and professional. The job was completed quickly because they were such hard workers. They even went the extra mile and reattached a second story solar screen that I couldn't reach--and they did that without me even having to ask. My house is nearly 30 years old, and I bet it looks better today than it did when it was new!

Walter met with me and helped me select my color scheme. We then scheduled a date for work to begin. The crew arrived at the agreed upon time and I am very pleased with the job they did as well as am amazed at how quickly and efficiently they did the work. In fact, I am so pleased with their work that I have hired Walter to do another project for me. I would definitely recommend Sunguard Custom Painting to neighbors and friends.

When I initially contacted him, he called me back and we were able to schedule the work for two weeks out. The deal only covered one color and we spent about an additional $600 to complete some repairs have the trim painted in a second color. The price was great and I thought it was a good deal. In spots where he painted the door, there were areas where the paint peeled. They did leave the paint behind so that we were able to complete some touch-up work. They projected that the job would take a couple of days, but they were able to finish in less than a day and a half. There were about four crew members on the job and they cleaned up well when complete. Overall, they did a great job! I am going to have the interior painted and these are the guys who I will call for the work.

Crew was prompt and professional and did a terrific job prepping the house and completing the paint job including the stucco fencing.

Great experience with Walter and Sunguard. Very polite, professional and more importantly a great quality paint job. We did a 2 tone paint on our house necessitating a little longer, but the project was complete start to finish in 3 days. Very happy with the results. The Sunguard workers kept everything very clean and completely picked up after they were done. There was one or two times when they didn't get here when they origninally stated they would, but they would always call and let us know. Overall they did a great job. In fact, my very particular neighbor came over to observe their work and hired them on to paint his house this weekend!

Excellent. The crew manager, Carlos, was beyond superb. They came on time work through the day were very meticulous finished up the job on time and cleaned up well after themselves.

It went well So I hired them to do the inside of The house.

I had a big deal for $199 for 8 hours painting. I had 2 bathrooms painted and they did a nice job. Two minor things bothered me: 1) the painters stood on the bathroom vanity to paint instead of using a ladder, and 2) the painters rested a paint can on a wall-hung bathroom cabinet, leaving a ring of pink paint on the white surface. It doesn't show now that the cabinet is hung back on the wall, but... Overall, I was pleased with their work and hired them to repair stucco and paint the exterior of the 2 story house. They patched stucco, and repainted everything, including doors, trim and metal rail for under $3000. Did a nice job. I was not home when they did it, but I am pleased with the result, including the clean-up afterward.

Sunguard did an excellent job. Walter showed up promptly for each appointment. I was quoted an extremely reasonable and competitive price. He used good quality paint. Based on the upfront quotes, I went with Sunguard. They did not disappoint. When Walter and his crew arrived they too were punctual and complete professionals. They performed the work in the summer and without air conditioning in order to maintain the work performed. The paint job was pristine. Any mess created was cleaned up and no sloppy lines. I was so pleased with the work that I will be having them paint the exterior of my home. I highly recommend Sunguard for any painting needs.

It wen't great. The contractor worked with me to come up with a very nice paint scheme. The job had several complexities. The contractor gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work performed. The crew was polite and professional. The work was completed in a timely fashion even with some adjustments and a rain day. I am very pleased and look forward to having additional work done for me by this company.

They did a very good job. The entire house and retaining walls were painted. There were a few places where patches in the retaining walls were missed but overall the job was done well. I would use this provider again.
