Oh why was Angies List not around in 2005? :( Mr P's salesman at the time was nice and knowledgeable. His suggestions were good. The install went in ok but very slow. The house was not used for about 2 years and when we finally started to use the house, we found the blinds to be defective. Called Mr P and they said they would send out someone to see what was the problem. It took multiple calls to get them to come out and when they finally did they sent someone who was an independent contractor that used to work directly for them to the house, He was clearly not there to help us, but to just do as little as possible. Called the company and they said that he was there best person. Long story short they finally came and picked up some of the blinds that were defective (the motors has some how burned out while not being used for 2+ years) (yea right!) and said they woudl call with an estimate. 4 weeks later they finally called after repeated attempts to contact them and get some answer. They said they would have to be replaced and it would be another 3 weeks to get them fixed and installed again. I don't fault the company for the poor product, that is as much my fault for not doing my homework, but what I do fault them for is poor service, poor workmanship, lack of customer respect and general laziness in returning calls and following up. I mean we spent a considerable amount of money with them and they treated us what i would term badly, I only can imagine how they might treat someone who spends far less with them. I would avoid them. I also had an issue with the blinds fraying on the ends. i talked to the gentleman that finally called after a month of having the blinds that needed fixing, and he readily told me that the fraying was covered during the first part of our conversation. However, as the conversation went on and he heard how many of them had frayed (about 50% of the) due I assume to them being improperly balanced, he then started to give them this song and dance about not being sure that it would be covered under warranty. Seriously, this is a guy that sells these blinds everyday and of course eh knows what the warranty policy is and then he pretened that he is not sure and has to call hunter douglas to "confirm" that it will be covered? Well guess what happened? Of course after he "called them" he said that they probably were not covered but would come out and see if they would be based upon the amount of damage. Yea right. I have yet to see him here at the house and am not holding my breath.
Description of Work: Mr P's installed Hunter Douglas Blinds on most of the windows facing the sun in our house.

I liked them a lot. They did a wonderful job. The repairman was Jim and he was just very competent. He fixed five of our blinds for us. Some of these blinds were enormous, and he had to take them down. He was very clean. He put the stuff on the floor so nothing got on the carpeting. It was a big job and he did five of them for us, so I am very pleased with him.
Description of Work: Mr. P’s came and fixed the shades that we have in the house now. Some of the cords and side were broken.
