EMPIRE/METRO GARAGE

Garage door went out on Christmas Eve, they came out on the 26th of Dec. and they were there with in 2 hours. If we would have had our previous invoices we would not have had to pay for the springs.

In Oct of 2006 the door began experiencing problems opening & I called the co. to find out if it would be covered by warranty. They couldn't be sure, an appt was made for the next day (Sat) btwn 9-noon & they would call first. No call & no one arrived. I called the following Monday & was not provided a reason why no one showed up but was told by the woman who answered the phone that someone would be at the house that afternoon around 3pm & that they would only call if that time changed greatly. No one showed up & no one called. Called the next day to ask about the warranty & to tell them I was unsatisfied with their service. He proceeded to yell his response "No, it's not covered under warranty & why are you calling us if you're not happy!" & he hung up. Don't know why but I made several attempts to call him back to have a civil conversation all ending in the most unprofessional behavior I have ever experienced. Hang ups, screamed threats to call the police. He would not give his name.

Empire's price was very competitive for what I feel is a superior product (Dalton Foamcore doors and Chamberlin opener). They came quickly, fixed a slight manufacturer's problem quickly, and provided plenty of extras like a garage door monitor for inside the house.

SPRINGS ON THE TWO CAR GARAGE DOOR RIPPED OFF THEIR PADS RENDERING THE DOOR INOPERABLE AND TRAPPING BOTH OUR CARS INSIDE. WE CALLED FOR HELP AT 2:45 AND A TECHNICIAN WAS ONSITE BY 3:30. HE COMPLETED THE WORK DESCRIBED BY 5:40. THIS IS A WEST FACING GARAGE AND WITH NO VENTILATION WAS LIKE A FURNACE; NEVERTHELESS, ERIC WORKED STEADILY AND ALONE ONLY ASKING FOR A GLASS OF ICE WATER AND A FAN. THE DOORS ARE BETTER SECURED THAN THEY WERE IN THE ORIGINAL INSTALLATION AND WORK WELL. ERIC CLEANED UP THE WORKPLACE, EXPLAINED WHAT HE HAD DONE, DEMONSTRATED THE REPAIR AND QUICKLY COMPLETED THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK. LESS THAN THREE HOURS AFTER DISASTER WE WERE RELEASED FROM CAPTIVITY. YEAH!

AFTER A PHONE CALL FOR SERVICE A REPRESENTIVE FROM THE COMPANY CALLED ME BACK WITHIN MINUTES FOR DIRECTIONS AND WAS ALREADY ON HIS WAY TO MY HOME TO FIX THE GARAGE DOOR. HE WAS SO PLEASANT ON THE PHONE AND HE WORKED PROMPLY TO GET THE JOB DONE ASAP I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE IN THE COMPANY.

I WENT IN MY GARAGE, READY TO LEAVE FOR WORK AND MY GARAGE DOOR WOULD NOT GO UP. I CALLED EMPIRE AND WITHIN AN HOUR THEY WERE THERE TO CORRECT MY PROBLEM. BOTH DOUBLE SPRINGS TO THE GARAGE DOOR WERE BROKEN. THEY IMMEDIATELY TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ALSO RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE ROLLERS ON THE DOORS. AFTER AGREEING TO DO SO, THE GARAGE DOOR NOT ONLY WAS WORKING, BUT NOW WAS SILENT. WHAT A PLEASURE. EMPIRE DOOR'S STICKER IS NOW ON MY GARAGE WALL AND I WON'T HESITATE TO CALL THEM AGAIN SHOULD I NEED THEM FOR ANYTHING.
