He did a great job of helping my mother and was a trusted resource. I would highly recommend him and the service was prompt and responsive.

I was not on Angie's List at the time of this service. I used the cheapest bid because this was a Handyman 101 job. His bid overall was cheaper than anyone wanted just for the door. The door appeared to be hung properly but soon sagged way out of plum. The deadbolt was installed backwards so that it could be turned from the outside (keyed side was inside). The framing was not caulked so there a large gap between the frame and exterior wall. Rather than repair the wood slats on the existing gate, he suggested a gate like my neighbor's which is wood snugly set inside a metal frame. His version of that was a cheap kit from Home Depot which is too narrow leaving large spaces between the frame and the wall. In addition, the slats are also narrow so the fence is basically see-through. Should have known he was too cheap and too available.

His advertisement says "no job is too small." The small job took weeks to complete, and he returned only when I reminded him the job was incomplete. Yes, he did finally finish the job but he needs to take "no job too small off of his advertisement." I need a "fix it" man and he is not one I will be calling back. It took too much effort and patience on my part.

I wanted wood flooring in my living room, because i got tired of carpet and constantly cleaning it. I heard about Z Home from a friend who had used them in the past. I called Z Home and a day later Gary came out and gave me an estimate. I had also called another company, but their estimate was unreasonable compared to Garys from Z Home. He started taking the carpet up the next day. He noticed the floor wasnt level so he had to level it. The project only took two days and i was very pleased with the work done. I now have a beautiful wood floor thanks to Z Home.

Gary did the job when he said he would do it and it looked better than I thought it could look. It looked new!

Gary is very professional, efficient, and trustworthy. Arrives on time or calls if he is running late with another customer. Flexible to your schedule and/or rescheduling if necessary. Has worked on weekend days to fit my schedule. Accurate estimate, quick, high quality, and professional work ethic plus very pleasant personality to work with. All around handyman plus remodeling/design skills in all areas. As with any project, It is best to prepare and arrange your work schedule when your materials are known and/or on hand. Also - Gary will purchase the right parts for you at Home Depot (for example) and provide the receipts for reimbursement - which is not to be under-appreciated for someone such as myself who would not know what to buy. His charges were accurate and based on time spent on my job. He is so efficient - I find his prices and workmanship to be excellent. I highly recommend his services for any size project. Mine were a series of smaller work-days over the past three years - first in a house preparing to sell, then in a house that I had rented, and now in a foreclosure house that badly needs TLC and personalization.

Overall, he is very responsive. He is always on time, which is important to me. The price was also reasonable. I plan on using him again in the future for some smaller jobs.
