I did not like the price, but I would not have liked anybody else’s price. I have not seen any termites yet. I would use them again.

They were prompt and did what I expect a termite person to do. They were here within days after I purchased the deal. This company left good records of what they had done and they were very tidy. There was nothing negative about what they did.

The inspection took place on a Wednesday and the treatment was scheduled that Friday. Richard did the treatment and he was also very courteous and informative. They both seemed to really care about taking care of our concerns. I would recommend Action Termite to my friends and family.

+ -1 moreWork was done promptly and Jesus, the serviceman, was friendly and courteous. At one point while working in the garage area, he asked if I wanted holes drilled in the cement or the pesticide inserted into the expansion joint versus drilling on the cement. Since I had absolutely no idea, I said he was the expert and to do what he thought best. He inserted the pesticide into the expansion joints where doable, which I assume is acceptable. I did contact the office for clarification on the one year warranty information that the serviceman marked on the receipt, since Angie's List stated a 10 year warranty. I promptly received an e-mail reply from Mike Saldivar, General Manager, assuring me that the warranty was for a 10 year period, and an updated copy showing the 10 year warranty. All in all I was satisfied with the work done. It has been two years now and I should probably have them come out and re-inspect to make sure all is still okay.
Description of Work: There were termite tube visible on the garage wall, although no live termites in them. Provider drilled holes and trenched soil all around the house foundation and applied Termidor pesticide. He came back on September 9, 2011 and drilled holes and applied Termidor in the garage.

+ -1 moreI can't adequately express how pleased I am with the level of service I received before and after. The technician, Mr Corella, was so helpful, friendly, and always professional. He explained what, why & how he did his job. He helped me move some things away from the structure that I couldn't move by myself. After he applied the termite treatment, he filled in the holes with cement and made sure the area was as neat as before. Also, when I had to cancel multiple times to visit an out-of-town, ill relative, the scheduler really worked with me to finally get this done. He also followed up afterwards to make sure everything was as I expected. Superb customer service and work product!

Description of Work: Action Termite Control sprayed some kind of anti-termite chemical on the outside. They drilled holes along the cement pad and dirt and sprayed. It was for termite prevention.

+ -1 moreI purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. The young man who came to do the job was very professional, courteous and I did not have to watch over him. He did a good job. I let my contract get close to expiring because of a family crisis but they extended my contract with no price increase so we could continue the service. When we had to move things to let them do the treatment the young man moved them back so they were very helpful in every way. I think their pricing is reasonable. I think it is a good deal because I think it is supposed to last for 10 years.
Description of Work: I used Action Termite & Pest Control for termite protection. They drilled holes in the concrete all the way around my house to protect it against termites. Then they filled all the holes so that it looked very similar to the way it did before.

I will contact them if I see any termites or damage and will schedule my yearly checkup next June, 2014. We are very satisfied and thank Angie's List for the referral.

+ -1 moreI noticed that I had termite tubes in my garage. I searched Angie's List and found Action Termite had a special deal on termite treatment. I bought the deal and they showed up the next day. They verified that I did have termites. Treatment was set up for the next day. They showed up on time and were completed sooner than expected. It was hard to tell they had been there. They even removed the old mud trail so it would be easier to spot the termites if they were not all killed in the initial treatment.

+ -1 moreFirst, WARNING TO ALL SENIOR CITIZENS AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Second, they have no consideration for senior citizen time schedules, or follow simple instructions. My home mortgage company asked that they contact me prior to arrange for suitable date and time to perform inspection at home of an 84 year widow with extreme medical conditions. They fail to call and had to be re-contacted and finally made contact the day prior at 4:30pm. The company contact was instructed not to show up until 9am and call 30 minutes prior. The next day the inspector calls at 725 AM announcing he'll be at the house at 8 AM. When I contacted the main office, the first reaction was they didn't have the work order even on the schedule and couldn't find a log annotation. After several minutes of shuffling papers, they found the call and it had no notes of the day's prior discussion. The General Manger's excuse was "we'll we are the number one company in the nation!" The General Manager had no control over his people and no consideration for senior citizen's time schedules.

+ 0 moreAction Termite Control addressed the issues that we had. My sons cat was dragging in rodents that had chewed threw the wires on my dishwasher. I had them come out to treat the house since I had an annual contract but when the new dishwasher they saw another one. I then called them back and they tried to charge me again, I reminded them that I had an annual contract and they told me that this would be an additional charge. I wasn't pleased so I contacted Angie's List and then contacted them back and they ended up coming back out and not charging anything additional.
Description of Work: Action Termite Control came out to do a service, treated the place and I haven't see a rodent since. They had originally set out traps, when I called them back out for this issue he found a leg of a rat in the trap. Gave me tips to seal off a couple holes in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Got on roof - nearly 3 stories high with clay tile and installed an apparatus on the chimney to ward off woodpeckers constantly pecking and making all kinds of noise.

+ -1 moreThey treated the perimeter of the house with Termidor HE and also injected Termidor foam in the walls where plumbing penetrations would exist thru the concrete slab and termites could enter the house. Ed did the application and I was very impressed. He dug a trench, thoroughly soaked the permitter with chemical, drilled holes in the concrete slab areas/injected chemical, patched the holes so they are hard to see, and cleaned up. I was very happy with the work and subsequently had them do the preventive treatment on my house.
Description of Work: After a couple termite mud trails appeared on the house foundation 4 years ago, I bought treatment from Home Depot and did the work myself ($300 for chemical), applying treatment around the foundation per instructions. Since that treatment, the house has had numerous termite mud trail sitings in the yard but not on the house. I installed numerous Spectracide termite killing stakes purchased at Home Depot and it seemed to minimize termite activity. Termite activity (in the yard) increased last summer after heavy rains. Finally, I suggested a professional be used to treat for termites. After searching Angie's List and other internet sites, I recommended Action Termite Control. Mike came out and inspected/provided a proposal. There price was very reasonable (Angie's LIst Deal) and proposal thorough, thus I suggested one quote was enough. They offered a 10 year warranty, with a $49 per year inspection fee to maintain the warranty. After searching the internet, the chemicals you buy in Home Depot apparently just kill the termites, whereas Termidor is carried back to the nest and spread to other termites, killing the colony. Termidor is much better than do it yourself.

+ -1 moreThe initial appointment went well, but when I called back to have a termite inspection done for a home refinance on the same property, they scheduled an appointment for me quickly but called me the day of, and had to cancel because one of there techs had family issues it wouldn't have been an issue but The refinance can't move forward until the inspection is complete, time is money.

+ -1 moreI called Action Termite control because I found termite "tunnels in my garage. Action was able to schedule a technician to come out and spray in a couple days. The technician arrived promptly and I showed him where I saw the termite damage in my garage. He did quick look around the property to look where termites could gain access to the structure. I was a little disappointed that the didn't look for any other signs of termite activity, but the tech explained the service was only for spraying and that the insecticide should take care of any termites present anyway. OK, I guess that makes sense.. Anyway, the tech then did some drilling all around the perimeter of the foundation and applied the termite spray. I was very impressed that the technician was careful to plug all the drill holes and replace any landscaping gravel he disturbed. He was professional at all times. If I remember correctly, the whole process took about two hours. No problems, no complaints. The warranty is for ten years. So far, no more termites...

+ -1 moreAction Termite was great! After purchasing the coupon, I was able to organize a time to have them come out to one of my rental properties and perform the bait and treatment for the termites. The technician was running a little late, but called to let us know that he was which was great. After performing the service, he called to let us know it was complete, and my wife met them at the site to finish the paperwork. They were four traps short, so they scheduled a time to come back again and put these in. Very happy with the service. Would definitely use them again and for my other properties.

I was told that this kind of termite come from the gound up into the structure and that in order to treat it the soiled around the house would have to be treated. at this point I still need to wait to see if the infestation is under cotrol.

The price was a special thru Angie's List. I accepted the offer and a date was set to do the work. On 4/11/2013 Ed and his partner showed up, right on time. They worked efficiently and were soon done. They cleaned up the entire area when they were through. Based on this experience, I would recommend this company.
