I had the initial feeling to not proceed with the job, as it took about a week to even get the estimate from the installer to the store. Decided to proceed with job as we like Lowe's and like the tile we picked out. Work began on 7/31/12 with the installer arriving about two hours later than promised. Upon contacting the Installed Sales Coordinator, Kathy, she stated that installers were not supposed to give out arrival times. Work began that day with the installer arrive late each day and leaving for extended lengths of time each day, sometimes over two hours. Installer stated that job would take one week, but because of the amount of time he spent outside of the job, it extended into the following week. Installer was generally neat and tidy, cleaning up after himself each day with exception to the day he left nail-filled trim work in the middle of the floor. Additionally, when he was on site, he was fast with his work. The problem was that he was so sporadic with his work time. Upon completion of the job on 8/6/12 I came home after he completed the work. I noticed that by the front door area, the T-molding was gapping in one area by the wall. When inspecting this I noticed that there was about a 4x5 foot section of waterlogged wood floor next to the tiled area. This water issue was highly noticeable as placing even my hand on it created a and quot;squishingand quot; sound. The installer should have noticed this. The water damage was caused because the installer decided not to use tools and elbow grease to get up the glued-down floor, but decided to negligently LET WATER SOAK ON THE FLOOR in order to make removal easier. Possibly a good solution for a whole floor replacement, but not a good solution for a partial replacement. The water apparently leaked over and got under floor that should not be removed. Upon further inspection I noticed a few additional items 1) not all of the trim work was reinstalled in the kitchen, 2) part of a cabinet side was pushed in from removing trim work, 3) the installer did not place enough tile in one corner and created a large grouted area, 4) DID NOT GROUT UNDER THE DISHWASHER so now I have a good 1 to 2 inch gap of non-grouted area by my dishwasher, and 5) did not clean up the leftover grout and told us to mop with vinegar after a day or so. I reported the issues to the Installed Sales Coordinator the next day, as she was gone when I called that night. She at first could not believe that the floor was water damaged and questioned that the installer even did it. Even after her admitting that the floor was damaged by the installer, it took three months for an insurance claim to be started by him with his insurer. I've had the other Lowe's flooring contractor out, who has stated that the floor cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. Lowe's on both 10/9/12 and 11/9/12 promised that they would replace the flooring and even had me come in to pick it out. They even ordered the flooring and reserved it at the top of the storage bay for the replacement job. Now, 4 months later the store is backing out of their promise to replace the floor, citing that and quot;hourly associates don't have the authorityand quot; to work with customers to fix issues like this. In all, I'm over 4 months out from a tile job with Lowe's that not only WASN'T finished to quality expectations, but also had personal property damaged as well. I've contacted Customer Care, who insists that I work with the store to come up with a solution. I've worked with a floor sales associate, an Installed Sales Coordinator, a fill-in Installed Sales Coordinator, and 2 store managers, all to no avail. I'm not sure what my next steps are, but I can assure you that it won't include future purchases from Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing any installed job from Lowe’s as they do not stand behind their work, have negligant installers, and have management issues related to the overseeing their Installed Sales department.

They were very helpful. They worked really hard to match the color of an old can of paint. It took them about threes times to match it. The employee that really helped me is Mike. He is really nice. He did a great job. He was very eager to help. I did not find the paint to be expensive. The service was good.
Description of Work: I purchased paint.

I have been really pleased with their service. The workers are very good and the managers are very cooperative. They offer old-fashioned customer service. I like the way the store is laid out. It is easy to get someone to help me. I wasn't as pleased with the selection in the gardening section.
Description of Work: I purchased some edging.

It is the first time I have ever really done it. It was a reward to my daughter for having a really good week at school. We made her a little round flowerbed and planted a bunch of bulbs and they are coming up beautifully. So we thought we would do the other bed.
Description of Work: We used Lowe's to pick up some do it yourself type of stuff to build a round flowerbed over the winter holidays.
