They were punctual and showed up on time.  Walked through the house and shown all areas to be cleaned (even though house was empty and was a top to bottom, which to me meant clean everything).  They had completed the upstairs in less than 1/2 hour of a 4,900 sq foot house.  After looking over what was done there were a lot of areas not cleaned that had been shown. For example: only 1 of the 3 bathrooms upstairs had the drawers wiped, and the ones wiped had to be recleaned.  The closet shelves were not wiped, the windowsills not wiped, only 2 of the 3 tubs were cleaned, etc, etc.  It was explained the house had been empty for over 3 years and it needed to be cleaned, not just wiped.  Downstairs had cobwebs left everywhere.  Then the floors, I had asked to have a knowledgable person for wood floors because, as previously stated, the house had been empty for some time and the floors needed to be cleaned well.  I noticed they were using some kind of wax and just spreading on an uncleaned floor, they assured me it cleaned as well as waxed..... I didn't want mopped on wax on my wood floors, not sure who would.  I asked them to stop at that point, was pretty frustrating as they were creating so much more work then actually helping.  In the kitchen I had to ask that they wipe out the fridge after being told it was done.  Also had to ask them to wipe the windowsills.  Right when they arrived I was told they don't wash tiled floors nor grout so that wasn't done either.  Needless to say when they left I had to spend the next two days cleaning and using chemicals to get the wax off of half of the wood floor.  I had contacted the head person and she was to send someone to help clean the floors, I had to call her numerous times to no avail. Then another person was supped to come help, but would not be able to be there for 4 days.  Our moving truck was arriving in two days so this didn't help at all.  And after all of this there was not even a call to see if I was able to correct the floor wax problem or any offer of assistance to help correct the problems.  Was a horrible frustrating experience using this company at a time when I really needed a cleaning service.

The maids clean our house monthly now - We have been using them for a while and appreciate the fact they are reliable, on time, and consistent.  Recently we also had the carpet steam cleaned and it looks much better now - clean with most of the stains removed.

Will not use again. They showed up with a
carpet cleaner that looked like it was rented from a store. They were in
and out in under 30 minutes for my entire house. I had to catch them
before they left to come back and hit several spots that they had
missed. Big dry spots in the middle of my floor.
My carpet was wet for a day and a half. It appeared as they didn't
suction anything up and I could not tell it had been cleaned at all. I
ended up calling another company to come out and clean it again.

I have used this service every week for 2 hours for the past couple of months, and would recommend them to anyone!  Fabulous job cleaning, also very fast and efficient.  Punctual and professional, also very considerate.  I am thrilled with this service and will continue to use them, they have surpassed my expectations.

I thought I'd take the time to write something good about an outstanding experience I had with a cleaning service recently.  My wife was over worked and I thought it would be a wonderful surprise for her to come home to a clean house.  The challenge was making sure it was cleaned up to her "picky" standards.I called Susan at Maids In America and she sent over two girls who where the biggest detail / clean freaks I've ever been around besides my wife!  She came home that night and was blown away - she loved the professional job they did and couldn't find a single flaw.  I'd recommend this maid service to anyone - anytime!

We have a small office in Tuscaloosa that can get very dirty - carpet, trash, bathrooms, etc.  We use Maids in America because they are reliable and clean every area we ask without us having to watch over them.  We trust them and will continue to use them happily.

It went very well. They use a checklist and also give us a copy to ensure the work is done very well. I would recommend them to anyone.
