I spoke with the flooring manager, ordered carpet, and set up an installation date for the middle of May, way past my target of the end of April. Due to this the painter I had scheduled could only do some of the painting. He can't come back until July, so this sets my project back even further, thanks to Lowe's. On the day the carpet was to be installed I was called and told that there was a defect in the carpet I ordered and I would have to begin all over again. At that point I opted to cancel the entire order and have a refund issued. During this same time, Lowe's installed two ceramic floors in my bathrooms. They did a good job, but only worked from 10-2:30 so it took 3 days. The second bathroom they did has many holes in the grout. It was reported to the store, and someone was supposed to call me to schedule someone to finish the floor properly. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. So I will call the store again. Needless to say, I will never again do business with Lowe's flooring. I have gone back to a store that I have used before who actually employs professionals who know what they are doing. They cost a bit more, and I was trying to save money, but what Lowe's put me through was shameful.
Description of Work: At the beginning of April I went to Lowe's, talked to a salesperson and asked how much this carpet would be, giving him my room sizes. The salesperson, behaving as if I were interrupting his day, simply took the square footage and multiplied by the cost of the carpet I had chosen. I knew that this was not an accurate estimate as he did not take into consideration that carpet is sold in 12 or 15 foot widths. So the first person I had contact with was extremely rude. I gave Lowe's another chance, going in again the next day. I talked with a different salesperson and picked out carpet. The salesperson assured me that the carpet I chose would be installed by April 30. He was supposed to have someone call me about installation. When I didn't hear in three days I called the store and they had no record of my ever placing an order! This time I agreed to stay with Lowe's only if I could work with the flooring manager.

We have used them before but this particular time we were not that happy with them. They never completed the job. It was a little sloppy, too many people involved. We will not be using them again in the future.
Description of Work: We used Lowe's for flooring. They were out about eight weeks ago.
