Roto-Rooter

I had a couple of other potential jobs. They quoted prices, then when I thought it was too high, they reduced. When I decided not to do one of the tasks, they raised the price on another one. Not a very professional service, pricing-wise. The work was fine.

It went well as always. I have used them for over 20 years and have never had a complaint. They are always quick to respond and have resolved my problem EVERY time I have called them. I always give them a tip so the amount above includes a tip. I do not remember exactly how much they charged me. I appreciate so much that they are willing to come do such "grunge" work that I feel a tip is the least I can do!!

The local Roto Rooter  franchise owner became angry when we told him we wanted to get a second opinion. He demanded Full payment of his quote of $185.00  and became very rude.  
Turns out he had misled us into thinking all we needed were his drain cleaning services, when the real need was to replace an easily repairable cracked pipe that roots had grown in through. In the end we paid a real professional $125 to replace the cracked sewer pipe so that we won't have the problem again,-- unlike Roto Rooter who said we'd probably need him once or twice a year now that roots were in the pipeline.-- by the way,... We also have a friend who told us she has paid him, 3 times a year, for over 10 years.  She called Our repairman, once she heard our story, and he found and repaired her problem, similar but far more pipeline damage, for $235, and cured the problem permanently! You can imagine her feelings--and her savings!
Our advice:  Beware Roto Rooter of Cullman, he may seem nice, but apparently he's just out to make a quick buck.
