Description of Work: Precision advertises a 16.95 oil change. However, they tell you your car is in desperate need of all sorts of expensive services such as brake system flush, coolant replacement, etc. Then they charged extra for oil used, claimed my Ford 6 cylinder engine took 7 1/2 quarts of oil. Also added a couple of bucks for "shop supplies." I just paid the extra and charged if off as a lesson learned.

I made the appt. and took the car in for service. The cost they gave me at first was approx. $650.00. On the day of the repairs, I received a call from one of the mechanics working on the car letting me know that since I was getting brake pads replaced all the way around, that he felt that I should have the brake fluid flushed and replaced with new fluid. Then he said they noticed that the tie-rods on one side were broken off and needed to be replaced. He explained to me what the tie-rod's use was, and he recommended that those be replaced, or I could wait until I had the rotors rotated/replaced. I asked him how much that would cost, and he told me. Now my cost is over $850.00. There was only one more item they needed to replace...the blower motor resistor. I had already been to a local parts store, and they tried three different times to order the part according to what they had on file. None of those parts worked, so they gave me my money back. I had shared that with them at Precision Tune. They told me that they were going to order the part. I waited a few days and called them back, since I had already paid for an hour labor to have that part installed which was $80.00. The person I spoke with told me that he had gone to pick up the part where they had ordered it, and they didn't have it. They had never ordered the part it seemed. So, he said that he went to the dealership to order the part, but it was going to cost me more money. He said they would call me when the part came in. I was upset thinking it was not my fault that the part store didn't order the part, so I didn't see why I should have to pay more money for the part when Precision Tune told me originally what the cost of the part was going to be. Waiting on the part to come in I had to go back to Precision Tune because I was hearing a loud squealing sound when I turned the steering wheel. I took the car back and they adjusted that one belt they replaced. Well, two days later I received a call from Precision Tune letting me know the part was in. I went there and spoke to the original mechanic that told me what the original cost of the part was and shared with him my concerns. They only charged me the original cost of the part, and it took two minutes to replace the part. So $80.00 for two minutes, WOW! But, since I am a regular customer with them, they gave me a coupon for my next oil change to be free of charge. Plus, that original mechanic cleaned and buffed my front head lights for free (I am told usually is a $40.00 charge). Overall, I guess it was an okay experience, but I was a little disappointed on how a few things were handled.
Description of Work: Replaced all the belts, brake pads all the way around on the car, and replaced the blower motor resistor.
