The provider did not offer any instructions on how to use the tablet, and the tablet did not come with instructions. The provider did not suggest a website to obtain instructions. I was not impressed with this part of the service and soon became extremely frustrated trying to get the tablet to connect to the internet. After trying for several days off and on, I returned the tablet to the store. Their return policy worked just fine and that's the only good feeling I ended up having.

They're the ones that we bought the computer from originally and we decided to go back to them. It turned out that there was nothing really wrong with the computer. It's just with our internet provider. I liked their price and they have a large selection of any kind of electrical system that I would need. They have all kinds of stereos, computers and tablet as well a cellphones, kitchen appliances and large appliances. It's a large selection to choose from depending on your income and what you can afford. They're nice and they're about half an hour from home. It's not really close but it's not really far either. The salespeople have been very good to us over there.

The experience with this company has exceeded our expectations! Ed has been so helpful with some subsequent problems our grandmother was having (these problems stemmed from her not understanding the technology of the tablet.) He made a few follow-up visits to her and didn't even charge us for them! He again showed her how to access her email and helped her send a couple of emails. He was very patient and he stayed until she seemed to grasp what she was doing. Ed has been a Godsend since we don't live in the area and our grandmother was so disappointed after she lost her Webtv service which she had always used for email. Now she can continue to email her friends and family. She is 99-years-old and doesn't get out much, so this has been such a blessing. Thank you again, Ed, for providing such a valuable service and giving us a terrific price and for going out of your way to make sure she is doing o.k. with the new technology!

The provider failed and refused to return our ASUS Google Nexus 7 and $53.68 to us, and has repeatedly misled and/or lied to us about the state of their repair efforts. We contacted them on 1/30/14. Our device had a cracked screen. They said they would order the repair part, and we provided 1/2 the repair price ($53.68). In early March, they said the part had arrived, and we dropped off the device. What has followed is 3 months of broken promises, lies, and unconscionable business behavior. And we still don't have our device back - and they still have our $53.68. We attempted to contact them a few dozen times, through e-mail messages, phone messages and visits to the Manassas VA shop. Every visit was made during their advertised business hours, but the shop was closed every time. With only a couple of exceptions, they failed to return any of our voice mail messages or respond to any e-mail messages. On the very few occasions when we did make contact, they added insult to injury. One time, they told us the device was ready for pick-up and that someone would be at the shop until 6:00. We arrived shortly after 5:00 to find the shop locked and no one answered our knocks on the door. Another time, they said they would mail the device to us, unrepaired, and return our $53.68. That was over a month ago, and prior to many more unsuccessful attempts by us to reach them. After we complained on provider's Facebook site, we received an e-mail message from a representative of the provider, a Michael Hivnor, on 5/28, stating that he would contact us to discuss this matter. He failed to contact us, however.

He taught us how to add music and photos by getting the PC to recognize the IPAD when it was connected to the PC. He saved us many hours of research. His service is well worth the price. JAH

Overall it went well. Everything was completed and discussed in a language that was easy to understand. (no geek speak) and they were very personable. They listened to what we wanted and clearly communicated what they proposed and then after agreement was reached on their proposal they did it. All in all it went Great!

Ryan came out to our house at 8 p.m. the evening before Thanksgiving, Nov. 21, to diagnose my wife's laptop problems. He was on time and very courteous. He recommended her Toshiba laptop needed a new keyboard and it could also perform faster with additional memory. He quickly found some available Toshiba keyboards online and gave us an estimate of $15-$20 for a new keyboard. He said we could purchase the additional memory from MicroCenter or Best Buy and showed us how to install the additional memory to save some money. We asked him to order a new keyboard and the additional memory, as I felt uncomfortable installing the memory myself based on past bad personal experiences installing additional memory chips years ago. He ordered the keyboard after he left our home and informed us that it would be coming from China so it might be 10-14 days, but that he would keep us informed. On Dec. 9 he called at 11 a.m. to say the keyboard had arrived and asked if he could install it that afternoon before 5 p.m. We made arrangements for him to install it at 4 p.m. He was on time. He replaced my wife's keyboard and installed the new memory chip in less than one hour. The keyboard now works great. My wife was thrilled that he works evenings and weekends, was in our home for a total of one hour for both visits, his charges of $95 were very reasonable for on-site computer repair in the customer's home. We will definitely be using Computer Geeks VA for future laptop and tablet repairs.
